I mean you can get a bad player behind one of them and they sound NOWHERE near as gorgeous as it do here. u CAN play unmusical stuff on em. Also this dude is world class
that said, I've played a 60s hammond b3 and even with my super low level keys skills it DOES make gorgeous sounds. If I can help it one day, sooner than later, I'll own a rotary speaker cab for my guitar.
8 people were the drummer in the video, you're doing a great job go ahead and smile, or stink face, something. he looks like he forgot to pay the parking meter.
What a delicious preformance. It's like warm sunshine for the ears. Man, that organ has a soul, tight drumming and decadent guitar work. Simply stunning. Gotta love the Leslie speaker and that even more beautiful Hammond. Tubes.... Mmmm. How the actual hell can this preformance have dislikes? Thumbs up from me. 👍 This is what it looks like to do what you love and love what you do. 🎶
Guys, you NEED to release some live performance like this...you sound so tight and free, so into it, its so much better than the stuff on the studio, as good as it is..... I don´t give a damn if its technically less perfect or slightly off here and there, which it isn´t , you guys doing your thing live and loving it is sooo much groovier.... I just can´t get enough of your KEXP videos, love them all, my "go to" feel good music for a while now.. Keep on keeping us getting stoked on your beautiful musicmanship !
It’s like the guitar and organ are taking stellar turns SINGING. SO melodic and inspiring- especially if you do know the lyrics. Curtis - bet you’re clapping😍
Love this jam, but I've been trying so hard to figure out where the bass lines are coming from? Is there some dude off camera playing bass? So confused. Edit: Ok nvm. He's doing that w his left hand. Wow!
This is how Ray Manzarek played the bass lines for The Doors in concert. Studio albums had a session bassist, but apart from that Ray did it all, two hands on the keys, two feet on the pedals. These are the traits of a great jazz organist playing in a rock/blues/R&B genre. If you want to see how it's properly done, search for Jimmy Smith jazz albums in RUclips who is the master of this domain.
the group came to be because of delvon's wife who also manages him. and jimmy james, the guitarist, plays in the true loves and in delvon's trio independently i guess, neither is his own band as far as i know. all i know he is a hell of a guitar player
Jimmy James & our drummer David Mcgraw are the founders of the True Loves. I'm am not a member of that band but I have done some work with them in the past.
can somebody help me? its a stupid question i know, but does Devron plays the bass notes with his left hand or his feets? i constantly seeing him playing with left hand, but stepping on the footpedals too. does he plays the same bass melody with left hand and his feet simulteanously just an octave below, or whats happening here?
The Hammond has to be the best key based instrument. Literally NEVER sounds bad.
Always gorgeous
you said it! hammond for president!
I mean you can get a bad player behind one of them and they sound NOWHERE near as gorgeous as it do here.

Love this jam, but I've been trying so hard to figure out where the bass lines are coming from? Is there some dude off camera playing bass? So confused.
Edit: Ok nvm. He's doing that w his left hand. Wow!
I wondered the same thing for a while. Lotsa talent here.
And he's playing a pedal keyboard with his feet
Check his feet and left hand.....some impressive bass work!

Is that the guy from the true loves?
it is!
That's awesome! So is this his full time band or the other way around? I've never heard of this group before.
the group came to be because of delvon's wife who also manages him. and jimmy james, the guitarist, plays in the true loves and in delvon's trio independently i guess, neither is his own band as far as i know. all i know he is a hell of a guitar player

Yes! Drummer and guitar....and organ on their album. These guys have something special, ?!
Groovy
I bet all of you are tapping with your foot right now
Tappin my soul right bout now
Delvon surely is 😄
can somebody help me? its a stupid question i know, but does Devron plays the bass notes with his left hand or his feets? i constantly seeing him playing with left hand, but stepping on the footpedals too. does he plays the same bass melody with left hand and his feet simulteanously just an octave below, or whats happening here?
he uses both. UNderstanding a little bit of foot bass playing, he is using the bass pedal just for some notes and for adding rythm patterns
I GOTTA TESTIFY
Come up in the spot looking extra fly!!
Didn't know Georges Clooney played drums :)))
BRING BACK YOUR DRUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great use ampli tube for the sound off the organ
Curtis Mayfield would of loved this one!

Dharma: this is your poker Guys. Greg; DUH
Hes playing bass with his feet

Why no baseman ?
Delvon’s playing the bass with his foot on the Hammond’s foot pedal 1:29
Redundant
Yup your comment sure is
