@@edannegrin1345 he’s on an entry level contract so we don’t need to worry about that now lol. Tavares contract up soon and he will definitely take a cut. Cap is going up so I don’t see a issue signing the kid. His favourite player is AM34 lol, they’re both from AZ. Knies will be a leaf for a long time 🤞🏼

They decided to play playoff hockey on home ice and it paid off. These guys can beat anyone if they play like this for 60 mins every game. They still need to fire whoever is drawing up their zone entries and powerplay strategies but the whole team came up big in this one. Willy coming up big ...and getting involved physically...Tavares doing a bit of everything well, McCabe Benoit and the whole D corp were hard on the body and on the puck all night, Woll looked steady and dialed in, the effort and compete level of Domi and Bertuzzi just looked infectious. Impressed with the shutdown abilities of Kampf and Dewar, Gregor and holmberg were good too...all around terrific. They needed to do the opposite of game 4 and they did.
You forgot the most important thing, Mathews wasnt playing.
Sheldon has the right mindset here.
Just control the play, dictate the pace of the game like you guys did tonight for game 7.
The D-men were incredible, Woll was incredible. Loved seeing him moving around the net.
Nylander was an absolute god. Hands down my favorite Leafs player of all time.

Tavares has been really good in this series… guy just likes the big stage… nothing flashy.. just makes big plays at the most opportune times .. and he can play with no space out there .. he has that lacrosse mentality
A lot shit on this guy for being slow, but he’s been doing what he can in all areas…he’s hitting he’s winning draws…not everyone is the same player, you need a group who can give you whatever they can at a high level…JT doing just that

He is the future number 1. Sammy got the go ahead because of last years round 1 and the comeback during the reg season. If woll started this series and the leafs played like crap as they did we don’t know how or what the series would have been but we now know starting woll the last 2 games they got a game 7 birth

I wasn't, dude's the only one who's been consistently good every playoff season. That's the problem. JT was good last year, but other than that the other two haven't performed up to par. It's Matty, and especially Marner that need to step up their play. Marner has Kane level talent. He just needs Kane level drive now.

Marner will come through in game seven getting a goal and two assists, along with another solid defensive game again, playing a tight box and keeping everything to the outside and letting Woll see the puck. If he sees it, he'll stop it, Woll's a rockstar back there.
Solid effort from the forwards who continuing to come back down low to help out their d and break up the cycle, and not cheating for offense.
Nice to see this full team effort a couple games in a row now. Make it three and you'll win the series.
End it in game 7 by finally going 2 for 3 on the PP to put you over the top winning 4-2. You've got this boys.

Travares may not be a fast duel to his age but he is still such a great competitor. What he lacks in quickness he makes up in body positioning and smarts.
Playoff Kniesy is a beast, as is Playoff Woll. Love what this series has brought out in these two. Will has been one the Leafs' most consistent guys in big games, so no surprise there but enjoyable nonetheless.
Knies and Willy really stepped up the last few games but I want to give huge shoutouts to guys like bertuzzi, Domi, Edmundson, caber, Benny. These guys have played amazing defensively and frustrated the hell out of Marchand and pasta

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. Joseph Woll is special. He will go down as one of the best goalies the Leafs ever produced. His fundamentals, poise, confidence and fearless demeanour is a revelation. He will take us to the promise land with Nylander and hopefully Matthews returning healthy and well.

That’s what home ice should be, I know ticket prices are high and people want to be entertained but if fans are loud and cheer for their team the players feel it. It’s important to support your team in your own building gives the players a little bit extra o work with
They did rally back they showed a lot of heart this is a different group , a lot character in that room , going to be sad when they are broken up , a lot of raw emotions , friendships brotherhood moments for sure , young team moving towards the next step of their careers , kinda of sad knowing that some of these players and teammates will not be together next season
I see a lot of people saying it was a boring game but if you love defense (as I do) that was amazing to watch. The crowd was unreal and I wish they were like that every game. Boston shouldnt of let Willy wake up, I said it after the first goal. Knies is a beast and he just keeps getting better....in Woll we trust

NJ won cups playing a terribly boring trap system, almost everyone including myself couldn’t stand watching them…I too would prefer a clogging of the neutral zone frustrating opponents and letting your skill come through on turnovers.
