I would love to see an old wood headboard updated, but not have it be permanent. I've pondered this for months without success.

We too just bought a house without a fireplace and am going through the same thing. The funny thing is we moved from CA where I always had a fireplace, to a state where it actually snows, and our house does not have a fireplace. 😊

You are so inspiring. A lot of crafters I watch do crafts from DT, DG and/or Walmart and transform them. And they do come out beautiful. However, you not only do these types of crafts, you tackle renovations, builds, etc. You are not afraid to take on so much more. This is why I love your channel. It’s so versatile! And you always not only explain everything so well, you inspire us to not be intimidated and to go outside our comfort zone to try something new! This fireplace is a perfect example. (Dollee is growing. She needs safety glasses and a baby construction hat! lol!) you put a lot of work into this fireplace and a lot of details. It certainly paid off. It is absolutely gorgeous!! Something you will enjoy for years to come and hopefully some of us out here will have one to enjoy as well!

Years ago, I wimped out and purchased ready-made portable fireplaces that have a firebox and take clean-burning, ventless gel fuel, but I don't have your talent for design and build. It is so nice to have flame, actual or electrical, in rooms that don't have a fireplace, even if not renting. I can't wait to see your bedroom redo. You are the best!
There's no shame in that!!! I 've thought about doing a furniture flip on one of those too! I think there is just something magical about fire. Maybe I am a pyromaniac! LOL.

Another amazing project..... You make us all feel like we can do anything......
When you are measuring to rip off an amount from the plywood/board don’t forget to take the width of the blade into account. If you want 12” wide - put your mark at 12” (measure twice) and cut on the waste side of the line to get an accurate cut. You can lose almost 1/8” from the blade waste. Putting an X on the waste side helps you to remember what size to cut on. Just something to remember when cutting lumber with any saw - table, miter, or circular saw. Love the stuff you do and that you aren’t afraid to try something you have never done before.

I was happy for you. I cried happy tears when you finished. I love the FIREPLACE! I need the whole kit and caboodle like you did in your living room.i have a focal wall for it. Off course the tv would be on top. LOL... not for me but my husband. Me too. Sorry. But I love decorating a MANTLE so the other option would be having it hang or tm2 mantles. Have this sit lower, then have the top mantle be chunky and really beautiful and decorate it? What am I talking about.....

After watching you do the first fireplace wall, nothing you do surprises me. That was and still is stunning. I couldn't imagine what you'd do for this one. It's pretty and I like that you matched it to the other. You teach us in simple easy steps while showing and encouraging us we can do it! I am always excited when a new video pops us. I made something similar a while back out of an upper kitchen cabinet... it looked like a Victorian fireplace... and I used the embossed wallpaper and molding to bring it to life

I've been making things out of cardboard boxes that O reinforce with more boxes I get at grocery stores. I made a strong and beautiful fireplace with boxes and a 30 x 30 inch foam panel that looks just like real bricks for $1.49. And a box cutter, a huge amount of glue and ½ a can of black spray paint. Rewarding and fun. Cost, under $5.
