@ i soaked them in water for a long time so that they were pliable and easy to work with. I may have used Alene’s craft glue ir E6000. It’s been a few years.
Natalee I have to praise your magic drill. I am only 4foot 11 inch. 115 pounds. Getting a drill that fit my small hands meant it was a drill that wasn’t strong enough to drill or screw anything. The Athena drill turns me into superwoman. I’ve made furniture, drilled new holes for my refurbished dresser. Help create varied craft projects. It’s WONDERFUL!!!!!
I use these cylinder vases, I spray the inside with one color, place several shapes of a Christmas ornaments cut from contact paper all around the outside as if they are hanging from a tree at different levels all around then sprayed the outside with a different color , peeled the contact paper off immediately and added a base these were stunning
Love you Natalee! You share your challenges when you DYI as well as the successes and not very many RUclipsrs do that. I admire your creativity and cost-effective projects.
Looking gorgeous today! As usual!! These vases turned out beautifully. I know you had a hard time with the monogram vase but, you had me LOL with your facial expressions! 😂😂 You're such a joy to watch!! That smile is not only beautiful but also, contagious! The monogram vase definitely turned out amazing! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!! Hope everyone is doing well. Take care beautiful lady and God bless you and yours. ❤❤❤
That's my favorite, too, but they are all pretty! One day, I'm going to get me that drill, lol. We've had ours for about 40 years, and my husband says we don't need one, but we do, lol!
Thanks for all the great ideas. I’ve made several similar ones before. I used a stencil and etched a monogram on the taller vase. For Christmas I have two that I glued to the dollar store candleholders. I put two candles inside with pine greenery around the base. I can use them over and over for different holidays. I’ve even put a fern frond on a candle and put it in the vases
Hey Valerie. So good to see you. You are so amazingly talented I'm glad you share all your talents and inspiration with us... Please keep showing your God given ideas with us. Much prayers 🙏 love ❤and safety....
Watched Lisa’s latest episode or 2 and saw some shower snippets there! ❤ Looks like it was a very sweet time! Blessings to the future bride and groom! You’re not kidding about that smart vinyl! Love my Cricut but I admit I do use a couple different brands of vinyl for different projects. That smart vinyl is great but can be stubborn! Always cut it with more pressure bc I also have found the normal pressure doesn’t quite do it. Love these vases. I’ve used them for home decor, centerpieces and more! So much you can do with them! Enjoy watching your DIYs! You are always so genuine and so much fun! ❤
Totally, totally agree about the smart vinyl line. I thought it was me! Whew!!!! I funds the regular Cricut vinyl much easier to work with! Love you much Natalee! You are such an inspiration to me and many others!!!
I have been cricuting for 4 years, so I understand that struggle. If you weed on the mat it is so much easier! It's like a 3rd hand. I know the big feature is no mat required for the maker 3. But it may definitely worth you trying and see what you think. I do own the Athena drill and I love it. My husband has had to try it out as well and he's impressed by it also.
Those were really beautiful ways to decorate those vases and beautiful gift for Mac and Ellie! I'm so happy that in the little town I live in, our Dollar Tree has started incorporating Dollar Tree+ decor, so when I saw those larger vases, I grabbed a couple! LOL! And your video has inspired me, I just need to pick up some white marble contact paper now! Also, I picked up florals at my DT and they have really stepped it up with the flowers, so I bought a bunch of them, I was impressed. Thanks for sharing your tips NataLee, I'm so inspired!
I used the vase and glued the dollar tree margarita glass upside down to make a tall beautiful vase. Maybe try the paper transfer tape instead of the clear vinyl transfer tape when using glass.
Hi! I just recently found your channel and love it! You are the cutest thing and you have such a sweet heart! I love your ideas and am SO inspired! Thank you! I am glad to hear you are feeling better!
The smart vinyl is okay for projects with less detail. It always cuts beautifully with the smart vinyl setting, but I often find the transfer challenging. Yay for thrift flips 🎉🎉. ❤
Last spring, I used the double vases, filling the outer ring with leis and the inner vase with pastel day lilies (copying another DIYer's idea). I also like the flexibility of filling the outer vase with candy hearts, Hershey Kisses, candy corn, mini pinecones, etc.
Love the initial jar idea as a wedding gift. But use as a change jar and start the couple of with what ever monetary amount you are comfortable with ie…25, 50, 100 $’s in pennies! A savings plan for 5 year anniversary!
I had that same problem making labels for my kitchen containers. I used the strong transfer tape and couldn't get the vinyl off it.😅 I almost gave up. I finally got them on by swiping the vinyl one good time to get it off and on. I just learned they make smart transfer tape that works best with the smart vinyl. Phew Cricut! They're like 80s video games you always have to find work arounds lol! Everything is beautiful NataLee!
I've had numerous construction workers try out my Athena Drill during my home demo; they're extremely impressed! The Tork, the Cost, and the Comfort of it were the biggest hits with them!! I had given out your site info 3x, so I hope to see them use their own Athena soon; Men and women alike, btw ❤🎉😮
I know where you are coming from regarding the cost of items. I saw a very nice pom pom wreath on Pintrest and was shocked to see it selling on Etsy for $89! Right then and there I had to see for myself why the wreath was so expensive. So I went out and spent $12 on yarn (used half of it so I have some for a second wreath) and spent $1.25 on the metal wreath form. Obviously the cost came from the time the creator took to make the wreath because it took a bit of time for me to make mine. But in the end, the satisfaction one gets from creating something from scratch, that others appreciate, makes it all worth it. As for the vases, thanks for the inspiration. I have a new bookcase that needs something tall on it to balance out a picture hung above it and you gave me a great idea. Take Care - Rose
I love those vases too. There was a time when I couldn’t find them anywhere so I bought 10 when I finally found some. I have used them very different ways. Ok, I hope this doesn’t offend you, but I’m glad I’m not the only one having had issues with the golden smart vinyl. I ruined several pieces recently and finally gave up without losing my religion. Thank you for your secret on not using the smart vinyl when cutting thin lettering. Your project turned out beautifully! I’m sure Lisa’s daughter loved it. I know I would.
Natalee, I love all the diys vases you did. They all look high end. Some great ideas. I have a question ❓ what color of gold spray paint do you use that is a pretty shiny true gold? I spray painting something and it needs to be as close to the shiny gold as possible. Thank you for your inspiration and I can't wait for other episodes to come.
Krylon 18 K gold spray paint is my go to gold spray paint. It’s a win for me every time. It comes in a smaller can and it’s a little pricier, but I love it.
It seems like I have a couple in my old Spring videos. I will contemplate on that and get back to you but apothecary jars at the thrift store are always a good find.
Hi Natalee, your finished projects are all beautiful! This might be a silly question but you talked about your community page. Where is that to be found? I have not heard of a community page before. Thank you! ❤❤
Cutting with the blade seems dangerous. Perhaps purchase the protective gloves and use when using blades. The Bowman vase is beautiful. Could the name vinyl or the other parts be made and applied separately? How long will the water vase last?
I DESPISE SMART VINYL! I refuse to ise it even though it's in my stash because my sanity and time wasted fighting with getting it off is wirth more than the money wasted by not using it.
Smart vinyl is a great idea but poor execution. Cricut needs to rethink the smart vinyl because it gets stretched out very easily and your projects look lopsided.
I wrapped these vases in real birch tree bark for my daughter’s wedding as centerpieces. I love them and still use them.
Great idea!!💕
I just love birch bark. Bet it was lovely. 😊
I would love to see a picture of your vase. Was it easy or challenging?
@ it was pretty easy. I used e6000 glue and clamped them and tied them up with rope for a few days. Can i send pictures here?
@ i soaked them in water for a long time so that they were pliable and easy to work with. I may have used Alene’s craft glue ir E6000. It’s been a few years.
I noticed their wedding date. We are celebrating our 50th on that same date! Wishing them many years together and lots of happiness!
Sounds like a lucky date!
Beautiful projects and gift item for upcoming bride. 💕
That's awesome! So glad my drill that works for you! 🙌
NataLee I’ve seen you tackle and conquer BIG DIY’s, I knew that smart vinyl wouldn’t stump you!!💕💕💕
I use these cylinder vases, I spray the inside with one color, place several shapes of a Christmas ornaments cut from contact paper all around the outside as if they are hanging from a tree at different levels all around then sprayed the outside with a different color , peeled the contact paper off immediately and added a base these were stunning
Love you Natalee! You share your challenges when you DYI as well as the successes and not very many RUclipsrs do that. I admire your creativity and cost-effective projects.
Aw, thank you so much! I always try to be open and honest about my experiences.
Thank you so much! 💕
Excellent ideas, love the gold monogram one ❤
Thanks so much! 💕
I love all if the vases, so pretty!
Absolutely beautiful. I have used those same cylinders and engraved on them with my laser by X tool and they turned out stunning.
That's my favorite, too, but they are all pretty! One day, I'm going to get me that drill, lol. We've had ours for about 40 years, and my husband says we don't need one, but we do, lol!
Natalee, everything looks so beautiful. I had a similar problem with smart vinyl. I absolutely love that last glass vase.
Thanks for all the great ideas. I’ve made several similar ones before. I used a stencil and etched a monogram on the taller vase. For Christmas I have two that I glued to the dollar
store candleholders. I put two candles inside with pine greenery around the base. I can use them over and over for different holidays. I’ve even put a fern frond on a candle and put it in the vases
That sounds amazing! I love using them for different holidays and seasons.
Hey Valerie. So good to see you. You are so amazingly talented I'm glad you share all your talents and inspiration with us... Please keep showing your God given ideas with us. Much prayers 🙏 love ❤and safety....
Who's Valerie?! This is NataLee's channel.
I use parchment paper and it makes this easier!
I’ve learned that I don’t care for the Smart vinyl. It sounds wonderful, but reality is that it is difficult. Love all your ideas!
I do love the clear, glass cylinder vases from the dollar tree. I love what you did with the vases.
I’m so glad you like it!
Your creativity always blows my mind. I can't wait to see what you do with the vase.
Thanks so much! Hope you are doing well this week!
@@designedtothenines you're welcome, sweet friend. I'm doing okay. My wisdom teeth are giving me problems. One is coming in sideways.
There are so many ideas on how to use a vase like this one. I just adore the way you are contributing to the world.
Thanks so much 😊
I think your “troubled” project turned out beautifully!!
Thank you 🙏
I would sure love the drill! I’m very small and been looking for one my size! Hopefully I can order it💕😊

NataLee your creations are always amazing. And you a looking younger every day.😊 ❤😊
Aw, thank you so much!🥰
I really have to varnish when I use that kind of vinyl it does help
I love all the beautiful vases, the one for Max and Ellie is gorgeous!❤️❤️❤️
Love these jars. I pick them up at yard sales & thrift stores also.
wonderful job ,
Love these!
I love candle diys. Beautiful job as always NataLee ❤❤❤
Aw thanks so much! 💕
I love your realism and authenticity ❤
All of these vases are beautiful. I love the monogram one. I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Totally, totally agree about the smart vinyl line. I thought it was me! Whew!!!! I funds the regular Cricut vinyl much easier to work with! Love you much Natalee! You are such an inspiration to me and many others!!!
Some easy but classy ideas. Thanks
You are so welcome! I'm so glad you liked the ideas!

Love my drill!
So glad!!!
I Love Your channel ❤ You are Amazing! Your craftsmanship is so very classy. You’re so inspiring, cheerful, and full of sunshine. ❤
These Diys are PERFECT..the monogram vase would be very cute with a smaller cylinder vase inside of the bigger vase
loved all of them.
Great ideas!
Love❤
Loved all of them ❤

Nice😊

Awesome! Thank you!
Love everything!
Gift the vase to your friend !! Matches all her marble sccented decor!
❤
I've had numerous construction workers try out my Athena Drill during my home demo; they're extremely impressed! The Tork, the Cost, and the Comfort of it were the biggest hits with them!! I had given out your site info 3x, so I hope to see them use their own Athena soon; Men and women alike, btw ❤🎉😮
I am so glad you found a tool you love! That is awesome!
Awesome! Love your channel. I get a little giddy when I see a new post!

Oh goody can’t wait for the up coming ones
Love these. I'd like the "Bowman" vase with black stones instead of white. It's still beautiful tho 😊
You're so welcome! I'm glad you liked it!
I love those vases too. There was a time when I couldn’t find them anywhere so I bought 10 when I finally found some. I have used them very different ways. I know you're a busy mom, wife, and content creator but I need more❤ jk but I love your stuff God bless, enjoy your nap

To pretty
OMG the last one with the huge vase is fire 🔥. May I ask the measurements for it? Heading to Hobby Lobby this weekend
Natalee, do you have any ideas for making apothecary jars? I love them but they are pricey. Theyre great for spring decor.
It seems like I have a couple in my old Spring videos. I will contemplate on that and get back to you but apothecary jars at the thrift store are always a good find.

Did you wash the jar first?
Or maybe heat it just a tad with a hairdryer? IDK
I didn’t, but would that help?💕
I don’t use cricut products either.
Cutting with the blade seems dangerous. Perhaps purchase the protective gloves and use when using blades. The Bowman vase is beautiful. Could the name vinyl or the other parts be made and applied separately? How long will the water vase last?

I really enjoy watching your Chanel but this one not at all. I am being honest but all of them are cheap looking.
