I've met her in person several times, and then I got swarmed along with other not famous people by paparazzi when they saw her walking on 5th ave, I can tell you, it was frightening to be in the swarm for about a minute, imagine your entire life. The other times, she actually was very personable and spoke to everyone who would speak to her, smiling and joking just like any other normal person. This doesn't mean she's a saint, but I doubt by what I saw she's what they play her to be.
Correction; Naomi Sims, Iman, and Beverly Johnson graced Italian Vogue's cover in the 1970's. Iman is the first Black model to grace German Vogue's cover in June 1982. Naomi was the first on French Vogue's cover in 1988.
I think she is absolutely lovely. People can say what they want about her but she was one of the most amazing models of all time and that fiery personality is what backed up her talent & beauty. In the modeling industry you've got to have backbone, thick skin, & be a fierce competitor and Naomi has it all & more.
