Would you buy a fully manual lens like this? I must admit that only until recently I would only choose more expensive an AF lenses but you can't beat the satisfaction of nailing it fully manually!
Was close to buying this, but went with the excellent KamLan F1.1 MkII. It is so enjoyable using manual with the Fuji system. Lot's of character, contrast, and sharpens up if needed.
Awesome review! I recently bought this lens and am impatiently waiting for its arrival from China. The bokeh qualities are what sold me, also the sharpness is much better that one would expect from a lens at this price point, as you showed. Can't wait to finally have it in my hands.
Thank you for saying that IBIS won’t work with this, I’ve been looking into all of these (7artisans and pergear) and no other review mentioned this, but for me this changes everything because IBIS is vital for filming as a newbie
I love using my 3 axis gimbal with cam set on AFC, but there are times when you're gonna want to get some special shots that a cam on a gimbal just won't deliver. I've heard and seen enough good on this little gem for me to order one today. Thanks for the informative, funny vid!
I think that you not right about IBIS, when you connect lens you can put in camera focal length manually (probably not all cameras). I have manual focus lenses and IBIS seems to be working good.
Heya Pav ! Don't worry about, but you don't talk too much ;) btw i try to found simple videos because i can't focus my brain too much longtime when people are talking for a while, but i've took a real pleasure to listen and repeat some moment of your review with a real joy ! so i thank you so wery much for this lil' sounding being, i was woundering about what is it made for, now i see really great why, just because of you, thanks again !! and maky carots to you :D A bunny from France :)
Hi I have bought a 7 artisans Lens for my Fuji xt 200. But it is not taking photos. Do we need to do any setting change do you have any idea. I have tried formatting too
@@PavSZ decided to go for 55mm i will utilise it in proper manner and if i feel like have more wider lens i will go for 25mm or 35 but for now 7artisans 55mm f1.4 it is.

Where did you get it? It seems like it's not available on amazon?
Agree, it is sooo satisfying nailing focus manually. Nice review.

The lack of built in IBIS in the lens is something that can be controlled by hands .... with a bit of practice ;)

I want to use it for street photography i need wide but mostly portraits so should i buy 55mm or 35mm ?? Very confused what should i do please guide
you'll have to get closer to people with 35mm - only you can decide which one is good for you
Will i get enough environment in 55mm?
@@avadhsoni7704 that depends on your environment

Does it work for panasonic lumix g7 camera directly or did i need to buy adapter???????
I'm not sure what mount is G7 - please check this lenses' compatibility on their website
@@PavSZ its micro 4/3 mount
@@AtoZtitbits They make a m4/3 version. Keep in mind it's a little more zoom in m4/3.

For APS-C there is the new f1.2/50mm! Fantastic lens for peanuts!
