- Russian and Serbian special forces units hold anti-terrorism exercises in Serbia. The Russian special forces troops landed from a Mi-8 helicopter from a height of 1,500 metres using Arbalet parachute systems, while their Serbian colleagues landed from Mi-17 helicopters. Another group of Serbian soldiers landed from two Gazelle helicopters on the water. The soldiers then blockaded and destroyed the enemy, firing machine guns, sniper weapons and large-caliber machine guns at the armored vehicles.

1. study maps of terrain & aerial photos for potential ambush sites
2, before patrolling an area build a local mortar firebase to call in rapid close fire support
3. train to call in artillery and or air support
4. patrol with 4 man teams (less casualties if ambushed)
5. send out 2 to 3 teams to recce an area from different directions

It takes thousands of hours to become fully proficient in close quarter combat - e.g. not loosing balance when carrying gear over obstacles.
Calling an artillery strike and loitering munitions can be mastered already in elementary school.
Often it is better to drop all and run until the enemy pursuits into the killzone of an ambush, themselves...
I hope that such common sense is practiced as well before war reaches the Balkans, again.

Excellent collaboration. They're gonna need guns, lots and lots of AK74s. Every serbian household should have at least one. And if Russia can provide them all the captured NLAWs, Stingers, and Javelins, that would be cool!
You would be amazed at what weapons most Serbian households already have. From anti tank mines, anti personnel mines, rocket launchers, AK's pistols, mortars, machineguns etc.

@@pj_ytmt-123 Yes, it was actually a shock to me when I first visited Serbia. There is also a huge black marked. On Saturdays when the big markets are open there are certain vegetable sellers that have weapons for sale under the ground sheets they keep their vegetables on. You can recognize them by their gaze. I almost got into big trouble crossing the border back with some undeclared(did not know I had to) blasting caps for pig slaughtering. They were selling them like you sell batteries or cigarette lighters.
