Bazza! Thank you for this simple explanation! I've been scratching my head trying to figure out my gearing on my mower project. Glad I subbed to you a while back!

Hi Bazza, i really enjoyed the Billy Bob build. You are doing a very excellent job for the sport! Really good info and love the humour as well. My hobby is rideons as tractors to tow my towmowers. I had to sort out gearing for current build and your tutorial showing how to crank everything over to check final drive was perfect for me. Bloody awsome! Dunno why i did not think of that....More please! Am surprised there are not more Honda engines used. Whats the reason? Cheers, Stu in the 'Watu.

Nice one Bazza . I'm just building one my self and wondering do I need a Kevlar v belt or just a stranded?

When I got into lawnmower racing, I was always told bigger pulley on the engine and smaller on the transmission. Can you tell me why this isn’t a good idea? It makes sense to me as ok see it, you would want your engine to turn less times for more forward travel.

By chance do you have experience with using motor bike engines and how to ratio them?

Sounds like it gives him a top speed of about 27 miles an hour
