Why was he home in his dark flat at noon? If he had a job or doing his royal duties he wouldn’t even be there during the day. And how many days did he go on his holidays - Africa - skiing in the alps - trekking at the pole - yachting - partying… Living a royal life Royal life and still complaining. How immature.

Out of all the people covering Spare (Waaagh), your commentary is easily my favourite!
You're so spot on about how he never takes responsibility for his own life, and always seems to wait around for someone else to make decisions for him. Even needing Pa to make doctor's appointments for him as a grown-ass man. It's now so clear why he was such easy prey for someone like Meghan.

It should be criminal for Harry to talk about Thomas´s mental health and private issues, which is guaranteed without Thomas´s permission.
Thomas Van Straubenzee ( Princess Charlotte´s godfather) is actually William´s best friend and not Harry´s. He is the eldest of 3 brothers. His younger brother Charlie was Harry´s best friend (and his best man) along with his deceased brother Henry.
Thomas along with James Meede (Princess Charlotte´s godfather) were the other 2 best men to William.
Why is Harry bringing the Van Straubenzees in his book? They are the most significant family friends William and Harry have had in their lives along side the Van Cutsem brothers, and their parents have also been lifelong friends. They are loyal friends who are like extended family to William and Harry.
Harry revealed in MEGFLIX that after Oprah, Mrs. Van Cutsem and one of the sons (believed to be Hugh who was close to Harry) called him to scold him. William Van Cutsem is Prince George´s godfather & Nicholas Van Cutsen is Prince Louis´s godfather.
After Oprah, the Van Straubenzees declared Harry disloyal and cut him off. That must sting for Harry as many of their ´important´ friends followed their lead and cut Harry off. Just as the Van Cutsem eventually did as well.
The Van Straubenzees even decided to close down the charity in memory of Henry which William & Harry were patrons, just to get Harry out of their lives.
So I bet Harry holds Thomas responsible for his loss of support amongst their friends.
These are private people and Harry is settling scores by airing their business.

I'm an ancient ex Brit, saw the Queen's coronation on TV. I'm following the H &M saga purely as a soap opera. Thanks for this video that I've had to go back to 4 times as I kept getting interrupted by phone calls, visitors and my 2 cats and 1 dog. As an ex Brit I've got no skin in the game (do people still say that?). But from the outside looking in I'd say that Harry always had problems that were covered up. I think Meghan targeted him. But equally I think he deliberately chose someone unsuitable to be a Royal as a dig at his family and upbringing. There's always been a streak of something a big mental running through the RF. Aren't they lucky he is (was) the Spare not the Heir.

At first I thought Harry would be a typical "favourite uncle" - great fun to be with, full of games and energy, someone the kids would always look forward to visiting. But everything I learned from his book has completely scotched that idea. This part where he was sulking that his brother and sister-in-law weren't always inviting him over, all I could think of was how well William knew Harry, especially when it came to his constant drinking and drug use. Would YOU want someone like that around your kids? He has an uncontrollable temper, too. I'd always be nervous about what he'd do in front of the kids, what he'd say. And he even stated here that he planned to offer his own brand of guidance for George's upbringing - he's the last person I'd want influencing MY kids!

I am amazed that he seems incapable of making decisions for himself. What grown man expects his father to arrange a doctors appointment , or can’t arrange to move to accomodation which suits him! He had an income of a couple of million a year, so it was not because he couldn’t afford to. What a weak and spineless person he has shown himself to be. Totally self destructive. Stunted ! The press don’t have to say a word - he has shown us very clearly in his own words , who he is ! He destroyed himself

And he’s living off of the British people. Every time they ask Pa for money or accommodations, it really means someone gave him money instead of keeping it for their own family. I can see why the RF wants him to shut it! There are so many working royals doing needed work, but he and Meghan’s ungrateful attitude makes me cringe. Whatever the Sussex’s are given will never be enough.

I have said this before but it bears repeating here. Of Hazben had played by the rules he was going to be the right hand man and protector to not one, not two, not even three but 4 rulers. Had he just done his job.he could have become "grannies" right hand while William and Kate raised babies and did royal duties, then he could have been his dads right hand when he was King while Wm and Katherine did all their royal duties still. Then he would have been Wm most trusted confident next to Katherine. Then he would have been protector and counsel to Geo. His family needed him to be there as a protector and counselor so badly. He had a place there. He had a job...not just as spare parts but as back up. His job was most important of all...he was the back up and wing man to not a King but Kings...

He had volunteered to become a medic for expeditions to the north and South Pole and has subsequently done several including with Harry although he didn’t talk about that. He told us a story of how the chaps have to be very careful when having a wee as exposing skin for any length of time can result in frostbite. I can’t remember the exact details now, but he told us that he hadn’t followed instructions and had ended up with a frostbitten willy and the subsequent problems he had, very funny story. The British people appreciate the RF because their lives are about service to others and loyalty to the people. Harry just wanted the benefits (in fact, thought he should have them) without doing the work. But, if Harry didn’t want to live that life he could’ve just left, with nobody blaming him, because it is a responsibility and commitment you have to make to receive the life of privilege you get. Thanks for dredging in the mud again. It’s curious that he doesn’t seem to understand that other people have feelings too. I know it’s supposed to be a book about himself but honestly does he ever say anything nice about anyone else? Remembering his broken toe as he is walking with truly wounded men does he ever stop to think how they might be struggling?
You can see how he was ripe for the picking by mm. All she had to do was encourage his victim mentality and bring his mother into it. Finally someone understood how hard his life had been and that he deserved better and only she could see how important he was. She could even provide marriage and children to elevate his position. What a godsend for him. The stories he is telling in the book were probably recorded by mm in “the cottage” as he was bemoaning his sad and lonely life. How lucky was he to find someone who understood him so well?
I hope it gives you some relief as you are wading through this book to know that we really appreciate your insights and humour. I know that I would get so bogged down in it my mind would go blank. 💎🙏💕🐨

Edit: as someone who has had PTSD, anxiety and clinical depression, Charles calling a GP is 100% the first step. If they can’t diagnose or prescribe then they’re necessary for a referral.

Generally a full blood workup is done at the GP level to determine if there is a medical deficiency or aberration which can be corrected. So what he is describing is protocol.

I agree totally with your take at the end (as well as your comments on the dross he was focusing on in today's reading). If this piece of crap had a perfect time to be released, it's now, in today's society, where everyone is a victim and its their right to whinge and moan, regardless how it affect other's. We live in a world where everyone can film themselves crying and 'poor me-ing' and I often think, just because you have the means to make videos, it doesn't mean you should (tiktok!). I actually think an awful lot of people's only reason for getting up in the morning is to see how often and in how many ways they can be offended and sadly, moaning appears to be the only thing some people are good at, it's a hobby now (tiktok!). Anyway, cheers, good video as always.

He's one of very very few people on Earth who got there and on North Pole. He is exceptionally lucky, he experienced something which most people will never ever experience!
He should be grateful for that eternally. Not a scientist or a traveller, but a son of a unique family, with a full pack of medicine specialists at his hands.

One thing comes across in this series, is that how totally inept and helpless he is, through his own fault, after the army he should have been able to stand on his own two feet, it is the one thing the army teaches you which makes me question his military service, claims to be suffering from PTSD but when offered help before leaving Afghanistan he plays the big man and doesn’t need any! By the time he was there the debriefs and counselling was totally a thing after every engagement. (Sometimes I should wait until I have finished the series as you bring the points up in the next chapter)

Just an aside about Graceland, while I also don’t like the aesthetic, it is worth noting that the decor is reflective of the 60’s and 70’s, granted on an excessive and loud scale. Most of us would be critical when looking back at pictures of our family’s 1970’s home decor.

Harry loves being miserable and angry and he assumes everyone in his life has the same angry and resentful attitude exactly matching his own. Everyone's out to get him in his loathsome existence and I'd like to see a member of his family verbally lay into him tbh, so he experiences that change in their personality that he accuses them of having, yet he's never witnessed, but when they erupt spitting total negativity in his moosh that he's shocked to his core at the difference. Then he has to admit to himself that he judged them in error and if he was wrong about that person, then others too do not normally carry such anger, rage and resentment within their personalities because if they did he'd have witnessed them fly off the handle, loose all control and release their rage..... Just like him, but of course they never do!

It's true that Harry never seems interested in learning how the world works. I remember not long after he and Meghan got married, they said they wanted to "remake the monarchy." Someone in the comments section said, "Harry couldn't remake a sandwich. 🥪 😄
Harry's surprised it's cold in the South Pole. But... it's below the equator, how can that be? 🫤 Well, he found someone to knit a hat or something for his todger, so at least that was resourceful.
And I call bs on the breakup with Cressida story. I've always heard she broke up with him. But what better revenge than to proclaim to the whole world, that he dumped her -- after he realized he didn't really like her anyway. 🙄

Most monarchs and others never liked Buck Pal. Supposed to be really quite unpleasant, draughty too. I heard the Queen Mum liked it, but can't think of anyone else.
Monarchs must stay in official residences and BP is the main one.. No choice in the past, but Charles might dig his heels in and change that if he can.

One of the strap lines for WAAAAAGGGGGHHHH
was something like; ‘From the man I was to the man I have become’. Your final remarks on this chapter & Harry’s behaviour’s & attitudes are pretty damning (& I’m not disagreeing with your assessment!). What I would like to know though is how much his optics on his past life, relationships etc have been distorted by You Know Who. She’s clearly done a very thorough job trying to shape and mould him, estranging him from his family to whom we once believed he was very close. I don’t doubt that he’s always suffered ‘Eeyore Syndrome’. Perhaps that has been exacerbated by his handler telling him that he’s always been treated as a Second Class Citizen by the wider family. I’m sure that before all of this, the familial relationships would have been perceived as relatively happy & functional (as functional as a Prince Eeyore can manage anyway).
Wouldn’t it be interesting to have read the same book but written without him having gone down the path that he was lead. If I could be bothered, I’d read Angela Levins fairly recent (pre Meghan) bio of Harry. Angela spent 2 years ‘shadowing’ him so presumably she got to know him fairly well. Anyway, once again THANK YOU for your amazing, amusing analysis. You are clearly working very hard with your early starts & probably disrupting your family life in order to keep us all entertained. You are an absolute 🌟.❤
