I’m quite new to the game, is it ok for me to join after completing the main storyline? I don’t want to be a burden on the community because of my inexperience.
Interloper, we are a community of friends. You wouldn't be a burden if you join early, but even if you were, that's okay. Just pay it forward and help out someone else who might need it once you've gotten on your feet! You're always welcome in Hub space.

Is the Hub the largest civilisation in the game? Are there any aggressive civilisations on par which you would consider enemies?
We are the largest civilization, yes. We don't engage in hostile interactions with other civilizations, but have previously needed to address hostile groups... I definitely would not say they were on par with us though. That would take years to build up, and malicious groups don't tend to want to put in serious effort like that.
Is it still possible to build gigantic domes like some of those in the video?

It's not wrong at all, but we'd encourage you to join us of course!
You don't need a Discord to join, but you would need Discord or Reddit to communicate with the community in most cases, since in-game features are pretty limited.

How do I find the portals to get to the galactic hub?

If you play throught the main story you'll be able to find portals
In the last Expedition there was a reward that had all the glyphs, was the fastest way. Sad thing you can't get all Expedition rewards. Most people started late.
The chapter applications link does not work. Not available.
Since this video was created, most chapters have moved to an Apprenticeship System. So you'd join our Discord, navigate to the #ghec-apprenticeship for example, then start showing what you can do. Once you're ready, you can ask to formally join the chapter.
There are still some exceptions to this though, like the GHDF, GHTD, and I believe GHSL.

WTF im only 40 hours in but you guys are my new endgoal. Wenn I find my ship and freighter I want I’ll start my journey to you im 5 glyphs in without quest and tutorials 😂(travelers only)

Do you mean another galaxy? The Galactic Hub is based in the Euclid Galaxy. To reach us via Portal, you will need to also be in Euclid. You can usually reach Euclid by teleporting to one of the Featured Bases on the Anomaly/Nexus.

Sorry for my dumb question, I finally understand that I was not in the Euclid Galaxy… I have a question néanmoins before I continue my journey to the hub : the « Dune » cult is only based in the Calypso Galaxy i’m right ? If this is right, is the Galactic Hub as well developed in Calypso than in Euclide ?

@@bennetonne7665 The worm cult is only in Calypso yes. Calypso is less developed than Euclid, but some people prefer that!

You can't interact with high flying creatures. Some players have used game editor to allow them to tame them though and they have eggs.

We're active on Reddit too if you're allowed to have that! Otherwise you can always to go our capital planet or colonies and try meeting people in-game.
Heh. I remember talking to Cobra a long time ago about this community. It's not like anything else. They make the game as much as the actual developers do. It's quite the phenomenon.

Ahh Cobra, that's a long time ago! Thanks interloper, we'd love to have you in Hub space. I'm not personally familiar with Xxou and a Google search didn't give me much info, but we'd be honored to support the community memorial in any way we can.

how to get to the planet new to game what are the cordiantes
how new to the game are you? if you haven't beaten the artemis storyline you cant use the portal monoliths (and the coordinates[aka glyphs] needed) to get around to other players easily. if you havent done this i would recommend completing that storyline first.
I 100% think I should start some sort of Caesars Legion on your border. A war would be so much fun.
The Galactic Hub is not interested in hostile interactions or non-organized PVP. Any such actions would result in a ban and overwhelming GHDF response. I suggest participating in Star League if you want to get your PVP fix, or hanging around the New Bandera / Afimsk system, where PVP is always allowed.

i found a tower, huge... i build my base nearby, nearest base disappear, now im alone again.
Maybe the bases disappear if they overlap? Try to make your base at least 2000u away.

I have no idea what I'm watching. I was going to buy No Man's Sky and I'm browsing youtube. Are you on the official No Man's Sky servers? I'm not looking for private servers or anything that isn't official.
No, no specific servers, everyone shares the same universe. it’s just that the universe is so big that, unless you know where people are, you’ll probably never run into them. Basically whenever you go to a system that has other players there your instances get merged.

Like nintendoman said, there's only one server for No Man's Sky (or two, sort of: Permadeath gets its own siloed universe). So anyone playing outside of Permadeath could reach the Galactic Hub, but it's just a tiny area of the overall space in the game. We're also pretty official - you can buy our decal in the Quicksilver store in-game, and unlock a special title by reaching our old capital via Portal!
