Would it be an insult to call you a more personable David Blaine? Also the difference between y'all is that I can actually LEARN the mechanics of the illusion from you.
Lloyd, you are absolutely ridiculous. What kind of deranged person puts out stunningly visual effects of this calibre for FREE? Nobody! Nobody does that! This is the sort of trick magicians would sell for $50, with an accompanying instructional DVD filled with three minutes worth of instruction massaged into two long, tedious hours of filler, and you're just giving it away for nothing! I love you man, you're the greatest magic innovator in the game right now. Nobody comes close to matching your level of inventiveness, and as for your generosity, it's genuinely mind boggling. Keep being awesome mate.
Cannot get over how simple this is for how good it looks. Another amazing tutorial Lloyd. You are seriously one of the most creative voices in magic today.
I haven’t seen any of your content lately, but I’m glad I came across this. I remember about 5 years ago. A friend of mine in Chicagoland said you were helping him for AGT. There was a group of us going up to Milwaukee that year to audition. Magic Creators like you really inspired the next generation of magicians. I used to watch trailers when I didn’t have money to buy a gimmick and reverse engineer it until I could by it.
New subscriber here. I used to do a lot of close up slight of hand card tricks in my 20s. As I got older and had kids my crowd shrunk and ran out of people to wow. I'm 50 now and I'm glad I found your channel. Wanna see me put a cigarette through a half dollar? Yeah I'm that old lol.
Nice. I like that the gimmick is so simple. It reminds me of a classic effect by Larry Jennings, where an incredibly simple "gimmick" creates a crazy visual illusion.
Very very good sir! A bit formal but now to finish, I love your work and your tutorial is spot on and you are very likeable Lloyd. Welsh charm (I'm an English northerner with Welsh family). Look forward to your next release 🙂👍
Dude I highly appreciate your innovation and dedication to helping magicians learn. As a 15 year IBM member…you’re legitimately bringing magic back from the dead. And my god thank you for the explanations!
Another great episode. Thank you for sharing these tutorials. It really does help us amateurs become better magicians and teaches us to think. Thank you
Okay, this one is a banger! It looks so cool, I'm pretty sure that even while performing it live people would think that it was some kind of sorcery or cgi
The visual on this trick is insane!! I love the fact that your creative mind comes up with ideas for slow motion magic. To me that’s what real magic would look like if you could do it. Straight fire my friend 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Magic has never really been my thing, but I'm an inventor that dabbles in filmmaking and your channel has become eternally fascinating to me, because doing the illusion and showing the behind-the-scenes combines both of those things for me. Anyways, after watching a few of your videos I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more.
So, first off, this is awesome and I was excited because I already had the tools in my car to make the gimmick. I just tried it on my coworker and wanted to share something I instinctively did at the end. I spun the card around to hand it to him, and palmed the cut piece in the same hand holding it out as I handed it off. It's a tiny thing, but I think it was worth it as he has learned to watch my other hand as I close out a trick.
I first got into magic in 2005 but I fell out of doing magic around a year ago after a breakup and just started getting back into it. This magic community really saved my life and I hope to hangout with you all someday
Hi Lloyd, thank you for teaching magic. You are thorough, throwing in lighting, angles etc. I belonged to SAM back in 70’s a career in the US Navy and Marine Corps where I could only some card magic and occasional coins. I have a 16 granddaughter that I’m teaching. I appreciate your tutorials as there are many new illusions and my favorite is making them for her. ✌️brother Charlie from Arizona 😊✌️🌵
Great tutorial lloyd barnes.I think this is the best youtube channel that I like because the gimmick is simple but it blown people mind with it.I really love your tutorial 😀
Great trick, perfect explanation. Very simple concept and extremely easy to duplicate. I think I just found a new favorite channel to watch. Thank you!!
Sometimes looking at the thumbnail it seems like clickbait because the trick looks so unbelievable, but NO, it really is that amazing! Keep up the great work. I can only imagine how wonderful the new Patreon is going to be!
Think this is my favorite one so far for me. I want to get into magic again, and I like your gimmick tutorial videos. Going to make someone who hasn’t messed with magic for a while get back into it or somebody that hasn’t done it at all start. Can’t wait to practice it and show it to my family.
Amazing effect! One slight enhancement: When you make the gaff don't use a whole half of a card. Instead, only cut along the blue part of the card. Now when you tape it to the regular card you won't have to worry about hiding the line in the white border of the card. Alternatively, use a borderless card like a "Bee" brand.
I came across this channel and am really loving it. I have a lot of spare time on my hands, and have always been interested in magic tricks, but never got around to practicing. I've been thinking of following some of these as something to do. I just never remember to get stuff for it when I go out.
C'est super ce tour ! Merci ! : This trick is awesome thank you ! Tip : Fold the card at the moment you show the front to the spectator...and say : look when you fold the card...an elastic can go thru !! :P When it's fold it facilitate the move..and create a good cover also.Much more realistic.
While I could basically guess the method based on the performance, I have to admit it looks really good, and I don't think there could possibly be a better way to pull that off. It's so simple, and I think Alan Perlis would call you a genius.
I find some of currencies (especially countires with darker color on the currency), hides the gimmick really well. So performing magic this visual with 2 very organic objects (bill and rubber band) is just really great
I practice your magic in front of three mirrors to just make sure I have the angles covered. I love your Gimmicks and my favourite is the secret flap that hides a card. I even got a packet of those stickers that is the spade seal you break when you open a new pack. I now perform four of your tricks that I can utilise when ever. So thanks for everything you teach us. This one I love as I love rubber band magic. I perform rubber band magic most of the time because I carry them on my wrist and I often get asked to show them. I find the way you teach fun to follow. Big thanks. Keep your those magic brain cells cooking. Plus we all know your a wizard in real life. So did you go to Hogwarts? Everyone on here chose me to ask you. Just kidding.

Thank you for your incredibly kind words dude! It really means a lot! 🙏🏻🫶
100% agree with this!

Never seen a so visual piece of magic with so simple gimmick and handling! Wow 😍. So excited to perform......
This has got to be the best gimmick magic channel today. Love the enthusiasm in every video. This one is another visual one. Well done 👏 🃏

Love rubberband and card magic. This could be a beautiful segue between the two genres. Excellent trick. Thank you for giving it to us.
Super simple and super gorgeous Lloyd 🤘Love the additional thoughts on palming the gimmick.
Thats clean, def one of your best ones. I love rubber band magic and this one will be a great addition to my collection
Man, another amazing trick! Love the mechanics and the simplicity of it!

So simple, yet very stunning !
I've been looking for something like this, been doing rubber band magic and this is something new to perform. Thanks a bunch!
This is almost too good to be shared this freely. I love the kind of magical thinking that comes up with ideas like these, a magical brain.
Best channel for magic tricks ever. Quality content for free
Crazy visual!!! Insanely easy to build and easy method. Thanks again.
Haven't practiced magic in awhile but I think I will definitely start doing this

I love this amazing trick! You are my hero forever for revealing this unique VERY visual card trick! Long live magic and this channel!
Thank you
That effect is so crazy I think I'm gonna pass on the secret, great work !
Okay, this one is a banger! It looks so cool, I'm pretty sure that even while performing it live people would think that it was some kind of sorcery or cgi
That’s a very cool trick, for social media. I really like rubber band tricks, they seem so impromptu and ungimmicked.
Great trick I can't wait to try it!
And I can't wait for the next amazing trick you teach us thank you.
Also you're custom cards look really nice.
The visual on this trick is insane!! I love the fact that your creative mind comes up with ideas for slow motion magic. To me that’s what real magic would look like if you could do it. Straight fire my friend 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Moonshine and Playing Cards. 2 of my favorite things together. I need
Brilliant. I love the ingenuity involved in these tricks, how gutted would you be if there was no tutorial 😀. So glad I subscribed.

I love this effect, cannot wait to start learning and performing this badboy 😎.
Outstanding, thank you for showing light on how these are made and preformed
Hi Lloyd, thank you for teaching magic. Great trick, perfect explanation. Very simple concept and extremely easy to duplicate. I think I just found a new favorite channel to watch. Thank you!!
Your tricks are insane! Thanks for showing us!
this is so easy but so visual! Thank you!
Sometimes looking at the thumbnail it seems like clickbait because the trick looks so unbelievable, but NO, it really is that amazing! Keep up the great work. I can only imagine how wonderful the new Patreon is going to be!
Very nice. Great visual effect, puts well together with other rubber band effects
Love this channel! I thought you have discovered a magnetic elastic band but your way is miles better!
Think this is my favorite one so far for me. I want to get into magic again, and I like your gimmick tutorial videos. Going to make someone who hasn’t messed with magic for a while get back into it or somebody that hasn’t done it at all start. Can’t wait to practice it and show it to my family.
Neat trick. More importantly you showcased some very interesting graphics on the card that warrant delving into.
Thanks
Love your enthusiasm! Thank you!
Amazing effect!

Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!
Im a magician busker and i cant wait to include this in my shows, thank you so much
This shoked me, that was realy incredibile, so clever. The easyness of the trick cannot be compered to the super magical effect 😮, wow
While I could basically guess the method based on the performance, I have to admit it looks really good, and I don't think there could possibly be a better way to pull that off. It's so simple, and I think Alan Perlis would call you a genius.
I thought he used a piece of hair or silk thread to catch the band and allow it to release
I doubt you did but whatever makes you feel important.
Absolutely love this
Simple and very visual!
wow so simple but very effective well done
Super visual! Amazing trick
Is there a video explaining the tic tac trick? Love your tricks man, so amazing
I find some of currencies (especially countires with darker color on the currency), hides the gimmick really well. So performing magic this visual with 2 very organic objects (bill and rubber band) is just really great
Great effect. I would suggest you put the double stick tape on the short piece so that if you remove it from the full card, it takes the tape with it.
This is great. And so simple. Which makes it even better
Nice ! Very clever solution you got there ! The easiest, the more fooling ! Keep up the good work !
you should call yourself... Mr impossible.. very creative. love it
My new favorite channel!
That's such simple yet cool gimmick! deffo giving this one a try. Thanks man 😁✌🔥
