Thank you! Both the green and yellow locomotive were painted last year and just washed a few days ago before being put on this train. The rain also made them shiny
That was beautiful. I still think 4 restored Southern Crescent E8s would look better, but this was sweet. I used to roll thru Tyrone on the National Limited back in the day. I have subbed. I have Robert West's painting of the Southern heritage unit in my den. I just caught the Conrail heritage unit during a meet down in Anniston Al the other day. I posted that. Love Pittsburgh railfanning, glad I found your channel.
@@steelcityrailfan4808 I went to see 3 of the 4 remaining ones last August. I posted them on RUclips. I didn't have time toi get to Spencer to see 6900, but I got the other three in Chattanooga, Oak Ridge and Duluth, GA. Maybe some day all 4 can lead an excursion. I will be the first one to buy a ticket, damn the cost!
Yes, I believe most of the 4700 series AC44C6Ms have e bells. I’m assuming the rest of them will too because it seems like they have moved onto the e bell dash 9s for rebuilding
Oh my goodness ... they look brand new..! Great capture !

That’s awesome! I agree with you on the E8s. I’ll check your videos out. I saw the Conrail leading outside of Pittsburgh a few months ago

How many company officials are on this train that it needs 19 cars?
I was thinking the same thing. I guess they each get their own car
It's a deadhead move to get the train to Augusta GA for the Masters Golf Tournament .
Ok. Good to know
@@steelcityrailfan4808 Often they are full of shippers that NS wants to impress and land contracts with!
Nice Catches!
Thank you!
0:06 that AC44C6M has a E bell

Is thie southern green train a special train?
Yes. It is 1 of the 20 Norfolk Southern heritage units
@@steelcityrailfan4808 I meant the rail cars
Yes, the cars are also special. Those cars carry the higher ups of Norfolk Southern
It's in my hometown of Augusta Georgia for the Master Golf Tournament. It came in 4-3-2024.
Cool! What other railroads bring their OCS to the masters?
