Thanks Ronny! Great video! I think diving into the Apps and giving us more information about each one would be awesome. There is A LOT there and I think it is an untapped resource for a lot of us. I know that I haven't explored it well enough. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that you can add a border to the shapes now - before you had to add an outline circle to a solid circle and make your own borders. Canva adding the borders to the shapes is a BIG DEAL!! THANK YOU!!!

The outline around the shape!!! YES... I"m constantly creating a bigger circle or square, coloring it black and putting it behind my element i"m working on... this will be a great time saver.. Thank you Canva.
2 things that will take Canva over the top: (Making this comment while the ad is still playing before the video starts.) 1. Saving videos with transparency, like elements, animated words, etc. 2. Canva giving you more control over the animation effects. Like precise timing on entry would be perfect for making dope animated lower thirds

Oh, wow, the layouts are great. I love those. Canva has made it so easy to make beautiful designs and videos. I am just starting to do Print on Demand and they have made it so easy to make beautiful designs. I like that you can manipulate the shapes, too, like rounding corners on squares. Canva just keeps getting better. 😁

Hi Kate 👋 I'm not sure what Canva has in store for us. But it seems like a Bezier tool is unlikely. They want to keep it simple from what I understand.
I love the new shape options especially for adding a background shape to text! 👍🏻 But the quick menu has been very distracting in the desktop version. I keep accidentally deleting or duplicating. 🤦🏻♂️ Though it does make it easier in the phone App to use those options. 🙌🏻⭐️
So I guess we wait for the shape feature too? I still don't have that. I love that feature. Where you can add borders around a shape, rounded corners etc. I only have the line changer.

Great video, but I encounter a problem when choosing shapes , it only shows me the possibility to change the color, but the change of line size does not appear , although I am canva pro
Love the new features. Thanks so much for introdcuing them all to us. I do not have the pop up on top of the elements. I also do not have the text in the shapes like you showed. Nor do I have the borders to add to the shapes, Boo Hoo! However, the shape is coming in with my brand color. Also worth mentioning, I still do not have the new websites. Canva says it has still not rolled it out to all Education plans.

How do we cutout ICONS, not images? For instance, if we create a logo for a company called “OCEAN” and want the ‘O’ to feature a heart in the middle, but we want the heart to become transparent so that it adopts the color of whatever background we place it on..how do we do that?
This is a tough one! You could probably achieve that by using the BG Remover... you'd have to use a heart shape, then remove the color via BG Remover so you are left with the negative heart shape... does that make sense?

Downloading the video does take a bit of time. If you share a view link only, people won't be able to download your video 🥺 I don't really know of a better way.

Shadows has been removed temporarily from the new Photo editor ... you can opt out and go back to the old photo editing options though. Shadows will be there. I believe Canva will add shadows somewhere else soon 🤔
i tried to add gif to upload to my portfolio and download.. its works fine when on canva .. after i down load .. gif wouldnt play . what am i doing wrong here please ? thanks
If the file you've downloaded is a .GIF it should play as a normal GIF. The issue might come from the software you are using to preview your GIF. If you are using a mac, try clicking on it and holding your space bar down. This should play the GIF.
Hey there Molly 👋 The draw feature is actually avaialble on iPad, I've been using it a few times here. Though I'm not sure it is available in many countries yet. It's definitely not on the mobile app.

Does Canva have the ability to manipulate the text and fonts as you have in Adobe Illustrator? Will it be in the future?
I'm not sure what exactly you refer to, but what you can do with text is more limited in Canva than AI or PS.

i tried to add gif to upload to my portfolio and download.. its works fine when on canva .. after i down load .. gif wouldnt play . what am i doing wrong here please ? thanks
If the file you've downloaded is a .GIF it should play as a normal GIF.
The issue might come from the software you are using to preview your GIF.
If you are using a mac, try clicking on it and holding your space bar down. This should play the GIF.

It stinks that the Draw feature isn't available for mobile/iPad, because it would be much easier to draw on a mobile/iPad.

Though I'm not sure it is available in many countries yet.
It's definitely not on the mobile app.
