Star Citizen is an Open Development Alpha Project by Cloud Imperium. It is 2 Games really though, the Persistent Universe that aims to build a First Person MMO Space Sim that encompasses gameplay in ship & on ground, economy and pretty much anything else you can think of. It's built in the StarEngine (a modified Lumberyard Engine). You'll see massive Space Ships that you can fly with friends, land on planets, explore or whatever your way to whatever goal you choose. It's available to try in it's current Alpha State now, you can give feedback & influence the direction of the game BUT it is VERY ALPHA.
Squadron 42 is the Single Player Campaign of Star Citizen & the Spiritual Successor of Wing Commander. The Idea is the game is immersive, cinematic, beautiful & seamless... NO LOADING SCREENS once in game.
Both Games are currently in the Alpha of their development.
I am suspecting to see something more mainstream for Star Citizen's PU by the end of 2024 with permanent progression, though it will be a while after that before the game is considered "feature complete" which would be closer to 2025 in my opinion.
The are no dates for Squadron 42's Release Yet BUT it is now Feature Complete.
I am an Independent Content Creator & Star Citizen Fan. I am not paid by Cloud Imperium HOWEVER I am an Evocati Member and as such I am under an NDA for Closed Early Patch Tests of Star Citizen', known as the Evocati Test Flight (ETF). Huge fan of the medical bed buff - I like the idea of the immersion, but it’s much more fun and playable this way without locking spawn beds behind expensive ships

@@PixelRoyalOfficial People spent a lot of money on bigger ships to have access to higher-tier beds. They pledged on the approach pitched by CI that there would be value to higher tiers and it implied a more robust medical system. They now feel ripped off as suddenly, without warning, everything changed.
A lot of people also enjoy medical gameplay this essentially kills it since killing yourself is more beneficial for most players. As long as the balance it and make it more limited I think everything will work out @@PixelRoyalOfficial

Normally it turns into a shit show. Free player's crash thousands of ships on the landing pads, filling them up with scrap😂 maybe they have a plan to remove it this year.
you will be disappointed. Chances are the game will be so broke and filled with bugs you will be very upset. The creator's movie type cinema adds don't give justice on how bad the game preforms, but hey give it a go and GL
CIG must have had a small nightmare this morning where they had a bug that blocked game access after you bought something right before their second largest sale of the year. It's fixed now, but I can only imagine how panicked they must have been.

“Nursa” effectively adds a medical room to any ship that can fit the Ursa. Definitely a must have for groups that do ops together often!
I’m not a detective or anything but with the retaliator getting modularity, med beds getting respawn and CIGs focus on RSI ships maybe we will get the Apollo sooner rather than later ❤

A18 was on a standstill lag-wise a few hours ago. Can't wait to see the start of Invictus week, because I can feel it, this year it would be different :)
I love the changes to the med beds. As an ingame medic, it makes me smile that I can help out my friends by setting my ship as their respawn location while they are doing bunkers or other missions.
With the medical bed changes, that Ursa looks pretty appealing.
Basically turn any ship that can fit it, into a spawn point.
Your the reason im always up to date with the game.

Connecting invictus with free flight is huge, we get to take our friends to take a look at all those ships.
Regarding the Tier 1 medical beds: They technically are in the game, but we just don't have them on ships. They are the beds we find on stations & in hospitals. So they seem to have a system-wide range.
We need some ambulance lights on that Nursa for maximum effort!

that firebird looks neat, I always liked the shape of the raven so I'm glad to see something similar being more accessible. Med bed changes are a welcome quality of life improvement as well.
I wasn't planning it in my fleet, but for some reason the pokey MPUV lured and snagged me. Now I have all three, and luckily off Pulse LTI's!
Depending on how much it ends up being i might be upgrading my fury to a firebird.
I like the way the Nursa Rover looks, but I agree that it needs flashy lights!
Learned the hard way what happens when you don't store your ship before an update. Lost my P8R Pisces Rescue. And just in time for the med bed update lol. Oh well. Time to get it back!
Been having a good time so far with Invictus and the free fly hasn't affected the server all that much.
Also the 3.23.1 patch got the MOLE turret HUD working again. But, Remove Claim Jumpers and Illegal Monitoring missions will still get you a crime stat destroying the objectives.

Hang on so what do you mean about the spawn radius on Medi bed... like you don't spawn in the bed or you can spawn anywhere within that radius?

What do you think about buying concept ships? I'm considering the apollo medivac or triage but I don't want to wait years before getting it.

I'm not sure why yet but the Retaliator doesn't seem to have it's bombs anymore. I have an in game bought one and it is only equipped with the ungladdened module while another org mate has an owned one and in game bought and both of his are the same. Haven't seen any other modules yet.
FIrst thing CIG did was to reduce the value of my retaliator from 275 to 150 today. They are real scammers at work ^^
The new sabres were actually news in that I hadn't noticed anything on them updating the original.
I dont think anyone is noticing this but the ursa medical has lift here loops on top of it.
if we are ever able to use the rope tech to tie things together this is interesting.

I like that they allowed the respawns on any medical bed it really adds some peace of mind while playing. I do hope they balance it though, infinite respawns on ANY medical bed is too easy mode. They should make those medical ships have medical supplies to keep stocked which limits the number of respawns

Why did they remove some of the ships you could buy for new deal in lorville? I went there last night and noticed the SRV and storm tanks weren't available there when they were the day before
could you make a video on the config files for perf i remember i did user config or config file tweaks but they are very old now and a huge new patch with new graphics changes i feel like might of changed it but since i reinstalled all my settings are reset so it would be nice if there was updated video on this config file, reg edit tweaks etc.
a warning for everyone, the invictus tram sometimes goes onto the platform and runs you down, terminal terminal if you will.
Probably one of the smoothest running free flies yet.
Getting a lot of work done early so I'm ready to jump into fleet week!
Thinking about getting a 'tali' this fleet week. I'm hoping they have a sale for it with the new modularity in place.
3.23 is much more stable than I thought it was going to be. Still getting used to master modes, but over-all, it's a giant step forward.

1 I'm actually pretty excited for the medical Ursa! The overall update to med beds in general is just great!
I think they need to develop the ORG game loops to make a reason for large organized ORGS to exist and encourage the multi-player gameplay they have been pushing.
i got one of those tickets to buy the lightning but there was some reason i didnt get the invite to purchase the ship until after i had already spent my money on the arrastra will we ever get a chance to purchase the ship again?
Will just have to wait and see which CCU paths have been increased in value or ruined entirely.

I didn’t have Retaliator gold standard plus modularity or Ursa Medical on my SC bingo card for this year but here we are!
The medical ursa is relevant to my interests. A cool method to allow you to stay out longer
Medical ursa sounds like a must have vehicle if you do bunker missions or similar!
I'd really like to know their future plans with med beds. If I bought the "nursa" and they took away the med bed spawn, I'd be a little upset.
I'm fine with limitations like only having a certain amount of human juice to pump out new spacepeople.

I think med bed respwans needs to be a special feature that only the best med "facilities" can handle. We are getting too comfortable with near zero repercussions for a death. Though I will use the ursa med now for respwan, i dont want that vehicle to be actually capable of doing that in full release.
I’m honestly just worried about the viability of playing as a pure medic. Could be just lack of experience with the game, but I don’t see a lot of beacons go up needing assistance anymore from medics.
@Washed_Colors I like the idea of being able to respawn in the Ursa at least once or twice.
Right now, a guy spends hours setting things up, meeting in a location only to die from some bug seconds after jumping on the Mira pulse, or clipping through the ship having it crush you, or falling through the ground to the middle of the planet.
I can't figure how to rent the ships at the expo. I'm holding f and moving the mouse over to rent, but nothing happens when I click it
Really excited to see what's going to be coming up at Invictus this year. I've already set my regen at Baijini point and am relaxing in the habs down in Area18 in my 600i BIS jacket and Wowblast, love that we can reload from the pockets now.
I understand that this is a military ship event, but I wish there was more of a focus on noncombat gameplay in general

I just got into Star Citizen and got two joysticks and it is immensely fun to just fly. I’m dying to get my hands on a ship that isn’t a mining one. Loved the video, and getting excited to get in the community!

The Polaris is massive!!!! I so tempted to get another one. But I don't know enough people to really enjoy it.
The Rovers awesome. I again wish we got a RSI medical shuttle to flush out the whole RSI medical theme but that's fine for now. So far its been a good event. Also I know people are complained this is the first time in a long time my mid range spec computer can run SC with consistent FPS. There is dips but its smooth for a good chunk of time.
With 3.23 I got a performance boost on DX, hope to see some improvements on Vulcan too.

I've never had this answered for me.. if you can "steal" ships.. what happens when someone claims it with insurance once they've lost it? Doesn't this essentially "dupe" the ship?
So what prevents someone from duping their ships for all their friends?
I like the med bed change, but now I want a C8R or a Nursa rover.

This will be my first time playing after years of watching the game and saving money to get a pc I can finally play it. I was waiting for a free fly just in case I won’t like it (very unlikely). But can’t wait to be apart of the verse!

@@HotWheels1776 what’s funny is when I got on I did a delivery mission and half way through my screen became covered in pixel squares and stuff and as I left the planet that I dropped the package off it crashed
id love for a mining version of the constellation , could replace lower turret with a mining tip would be nice :3 and making it a catapillar yellow x3

Im having trouble on the RSI Launcher. I cant reach the login button down in the lower right hand side. Every time i drag the login page up to get to the button the page snaps back down. Can someone please help. ?

I love Fleet week, minus the server load. Medbeds are a huge improvement. Finally my Pisces is useful again.
