Thank you MaxGuitar67, I bought this pedal last year trying to find my sound, I first picked up a MXR Full Bore pedal, it sounded great but with to much fuzz, even with the gain rolled all the way back, then picked up a MXR Super Bad Ass, great pedal, but still something was missing, then I got the Jemini pedal, and was very impressed with it, but it too was missing something in the sound, like not enough body and color, so I picked up a 10 band EQ and that made a big difference. Then I saw your video and saw that you added a Boss DS-1 to the Jemini, so I picked one up for $35 and BINGO!!!!!!!, that's the tone and sound I was looking for, I tweaked the settings a bit different then what you have in your video, but now I have finally found my MOJO!!!!!! I added a bit of chours and delay to it and it sounds beautiful. It's played through a Fender Ultra Chours on a LTD M-103FM. Thanks MaxGuitar, you have made my day.

The distortion is from your amp or only the DS1 and Jemini?

Are you using a stock ds1 in this video?
Yes ds1 stock but there is also a slight clean boost from the Boss gt3, now I've sold that pedal and I'm using the Vox Satchurator which is much better

Attila Lukacs connect the jemini and boss ds1 in to send and return of your boss gt 100 whit delay and a little reverb and little limiter for the more compression is all

Thanks for this video! I use a DS-1 Keeley boosted by a TS9 into clean channel of the amp, which is quite similar to yout setup.
It gives a nice Satriani-like tone as far as I play at home at "neighbours-friendly" volume.
But when playing it loud with the band I have to reduce the TS9 Drive at the minimum and the DS1 Distortion about at noon, otherwise I get feedback.
Don't you have similar issues with all that gain and distortion?

Ciao dicevo che uso un DS1 Keeley boostato da un Ibanez TS9 in ingresso, ma devo tenere la distorsione del DS1 circa a metà a ed il drive del TS9 ore 9 altrimenti si innescano feedback fastidiosi e continui. Tu riesci a gestire questa accoppiata anche a volume elevato (live o sala prove)? Complimenti comunque, suoni molto bene!
Pierluigi Cecchini Ciao si comunue riesco a gestire anche ad alti volumi situazioni cosi ci vuole molto controllo dello strumento sempre la mano sul ponte pronta a stoppare le corde che non stai suonando se no esce solo casino, e comunque questi due pedali sono riposti ora da parecchio tempo sono stati sostituiti da MXR EVH 5150 overdrive con gain sempre verso meta' corsa bostato dal limiter della Boss gt3 per riff tirati e poi per andare in un fluid lead con tanto sustain aggiungo un TC electronics Dark Matter distortion con alti e bassi regolati in modo che non mi modificano il suono base e il gain impostato su ore 9/10 sempre sul canale pulito di qualsiasi ampli passando nel send e return della GT 3 per tutti gli altri effetti questo e tutto! 😉

sboriandolo this guitar have stock pick up humbucker inf 3 at neck and inf 4 in the bridge evolution single in middle position.
sboriandolo I do not think that changing the pick ups solve there are other factors the type of ropes and scaling the action plettro the amplifier used if it has a small cone of 12 or two by 12 or 4 cones the difference and so much and then the touch Personal with instrument and fundamental.
sboriandolo Now I'm not using these two pedals I have them in the drawer, I'm using as main distortion EVH 5150 overdrive so crunch then pushed slightly by my Boss gt3 limiter to go into heavy crunch and then tc electronic dark matter for the solo
La consigli come accoppiata magari accostata da un chorus e deelay? Ho sempre avuto pedaliere digitali e avendo ora una jem volevo accostare un po il suono del digitale e fare una pedaliera di singoli pedali, partire da questo può essere una buona scelta?
Scusami ma ho letto solo ora la tua domanda ma visto che è passato molto tempo ho fatto altri esperimenti quindi ti posso rispondere ad oggi, si puoi usare una combinazione simile anche con solo il delay e se vuoi un chorus, se vuoi risparmiare tanti soldini puoi ottenere suoni quasi alla pari a questo solo con il Vox Satchurator che uso ora, oppure se vuoi più elasticità nelle regolazioni "bassi,medi,alti" uso anche un MXR 5150 overdrive "ma costa molto di più" col gain intorno a ore 13.00 e poi bostato da un clean boost ma secondo me il Vox ha queste sonorità già di suo da solo molto bello

Indeed . Using it with a nice practice amp..some reverb.. you dont need more Pedals.
Piggy backing off this - the DS-1 on it's own sounds wonderful. Stacking it does give it more dimension. I feel like Vai and Satriani taught us that a DS-1 used is really all the drive you need - stack it with a Tube screamer style over drive and there are a myriad sounds you can get. Great work and wonderful playing.
or put the evh on crunch so you don't need the ds1. a light crunch and then the gemini . if i remember correctly, that was the trick Always that they used distortion on the crunch channel or with a light crunch instead of total clean.
arjan snijder In fact instead of ds1 you can put another distortion or an overdrive or a high gain tube amp and always the same sound pasta changes the mxr 5150 overdrive with JEMINI front and fabulous

arjan snijder Right now I'm using the Electro Harmonix East river drive inside the Mxr EVH 5150 overdrive in send and return of my old boss gt 3 .... eventually find I get the same but the sound and much much nicer greetings !!!

so obviously this isn't such a great pedal on its own. none are, but is this atleast good fire an extra dive pedal over others?

I had in the past the bad horsie but then I sold and I took the Dunlop 95Q in my opinion much better !!

It in fact I was a bit lucky to get this guitar used and '2005 and' a little heavy but resonates very well off seems to have a sound very much volume and sustain, the inf3-4 have an outlet in the middle 'between DiMarzio Paf pro and my Peavey Wolfgang Pick up.
They're good pickups just don't compete with dimarzios they updated them to these new quantum pickups which imo sound better than dimarzios
Jamie MacMillan I do not know the quantum well since I'm the new pickup that uses ibanez .... however, any demo that listen on yt of pick up and inf3 inf4 not like the sound but my guitar sounds RG350 by God both digital and on amps and effects and analog I fully satisfies the sound then if they are toys compared with DiMarzio I do not mind listening to my videos Velorum of S.Vai you realize !!!
