There usedto be an old penny arcade in Mablethorpe when I was a lad. Don’t know if it’s still there. Looks like I’ll have to get myself down to Great Yarmouth. I recognise quite a few of those machines from my youth, but that laughing sailor literally used to give me nightmares 😬
Really enjoyed that. Very nostalgic, with some machines that were similar to those I played on as kid at our local seaside. Looked a lovely day out as well. 👍
I really enjoyed this video CP 😄. What an amazing Penny Arcade . Never been to Great Yarmouth so good idea for a visit in the future 😊👍. Well done Sue on beating hubby in the cycling race 🚴 😆.
In my city, I found out about the electric company that owned the old trollies. Made a park for the trolley to stop at. I read it was called an electric park. Electricity was a new technology. It had 8,000 lights. It had a merry-go-round, a roller, a dance hall, and a swimming hole in the near by creek. It had boats and penny arcades. The park lasted from 1912-1920. I was looking for arcades from that period. Your video was great to see the old arcades.
I really enjoyed your second trip to the penny arcade. We live in Suffolk and hope to go there in the school half term. I didn't know it was there before your videos. Thanks
Fab video Paul 👍 living on the South Coast, I spent a lot of my school holidays in the Penny Arcade on Brighton pier ( or Palace Pier as it was called back then) great fun ❤️
Back the roots of the channel ❤️This may not get 5k views but this is what I associate with your channel Paul. Good clean fun & nostalgia, Oh & Beer Is Best
After seeing this we visited yesterday. I didn't realise you could gain entry without paying to go through the model village. Model village closed at 4pm and we arrived at 3.35 pm so paid £28 pounds (two adults, two kids) for just 20 minutes. You live and learn. Penny arcade was fantastic, kids loved it. I retained a couple of older pennies 1902 and a 1912 .
OMG the amount of times I have been to Great Yarmouth over the years i didnt even know this was there im actually going to yarmouth tomorrow until thursday going to have to pop in there
I'm off to Great Yarmouth at the end of the month so I'll definitely be paying the penny arcade a visit! With a bit of luck I'll get some Victoria's :)
Not at the end of the pier Dan, they just call it that. It's right next to The Model Village. In fact if you vist The Model Village the exit is through the arcade.
Just love those old games played them when i was a kid and got a cuff around the ear for looking in the wrong ones ha ha
What a fantastic place to visit, looked like a load of fun and somewhere you can get a few old pennies
Where is it to play

06:01 Been looking for one of those machines for years.
When we went to Great Yarmouth as kids my Dad would give us a big handful of pennies each. That is where my love of £SD comes from 😆😎🍀💜
I remember seeing some of these old slot machines at a sea side resort, and also I remember some slot machines were 1p coins in the 90s
Have to get there at some point 👍👍👍
Man that looks fun wish we had a penny arcade here
Used to have penny machines on Hastings Pier, before it was destroyed by fire. Such a shame.
It looked great fun.
