- BEHOLD!!! My U.S.S. Astral/ NX-78173 Ultra Deep Space Experimental Cruiser. Last time I showed you guys this vessel it wasnt finished. But I've added a bit more to her. For the size, shes around 1.5 to 2 times the sizes of the Odyssey. (which do you guys think?) She has 8 phaser arrays, 10 torpedo launchers, 10 shuttlebays (1 aft, 2 secondary hull port, 2 secondary hull starboard, 2 inner saucer port, 2 inner saucer starboard, 1 main aft of the saucer). As for the ring, the experimental technology Im thinking of calling it a Quantum Spatial Trejector Ring. But...its all still in the experimental stage. Name could change, idk. As always, enjoy :)

Absolutely fantastic, is a little Vulcan in design
Aye! I spotted that too and was just about to comment on the distinctive Vulcan like propulsion system design! U.S.S. Astral? Perhaps they should have named it U.S.S. Mestral - in fond memory of Mestral (the Vulcan from the “Carbon Creek” episode of Enterprise) - the one who stayed behind and likely influenced the rise of technology on our planet.
Personally, I think he eventually made his way to Japan and is secretly responsible for every Toyota Prius on the road today - I swear they all look Vulcan too….😀👍
she looks like she is built for a 10+ yr mission in to the unkown and that she can handle what ever she comes accross very nicely done thanks for the video

I dig it, it has a very unique set up and I love the warp effect before launch.

This is an absolute behemoth of a ship.
It reminds me of a Vulcan D'Kyr class cruiser and the Earthforce long range Explorer class from B5.

I love the use of negative space over the entire concept and the ring impulse ... everything looks great.
I think 1,5 times the odessey would work well and may be change de word quantum in the trajector name, it's been over used in the franchised at this point :-P
Right at the end here, I imagine myself sitting at the Nav console..."course laid in, and speed...set, Captain." "Warp engines at full power, at your command." Captain: "Execute." What I'd give to leave this life behind, and go explore the universe. We'll get out there someday, but you and I can only dream...for now. Interesting version of a warp jump with the flash starting before the ship actually jumps. Like it's opening some kind of portal.

THIS IS AN AWESOME DESIGN! Actually really works with current Star Fleet Asthetics, practical, functional, and can be reasonably explained. I'd love to see this in STO.
I'm very impressed! I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I would have liked to have seen what that large red ring was? Since the ship was designed for deep space exploration I'm assuming that ring is likely a new form of transwarp drive that can travel to other galaxies? If Paramount hadn't flushed the franchise down the toilet with it woke crap ,it's always been my dream that after Star Trek The Next Generation that the next series would feature a galaxy hopping starship! Think of all of the endless possibilities for story fodder? The new galaxy hopping Federation vessel could travel back to the exact point of the Big Bang ,when our universe was created! They could encounter a distant part of the universe where our laws of physics don't apply? One can always dream ! Exemplary work! Keep it up!

At first, it looked like the pylons and ring had no physical connection to the rest of the ship. As if the warp field itself was the structure.

NOW THAT'S A SHIP!!!
Different warp jump effect... there's no crack, pop or snap sound. It's a boom followed by a long, loud rumble. She does not travel at warp speeds, nor at quantum slipstream speeds, but by a combination of slipstreaming through warp-compressed space. She would theoretically be capable of achieving intergalactic travel in a feasible amount of time.
Nice. Now you have a series that is NOT Voyager, where we are way out from known space... could even bake in the ending by having the Vulcan compression drive use Dilithium Crystals in a measurable way... at point x, gotta stop and head back to known space for more fuel... but no sense of urgency or worry because it is planned out.

I want one! The coolest ship in the fleet! I bet it has tactical shuttles that could defeat a Borg cube or sphere.
I coud see this being the first (quantom warp slip stream drive) or Q.W.S.S. for short ship to reach QWSS 5 like NX-01 enterprise thats why im saying this needs to be the next enterprise

Looks like an integration of warp (Nacelles) plus something like quantum slipstream (Cylindrical elements) for intergalactic travel and/or cross galaxy travel, ability to cover entire MIly Way in timeframes similar to TOS Warp speeds among stars in Alpha/beta quads

so this looks like a prime timeline super future USS discovery. an interesting ship design to be sure, but it could have been paid off better with a REALLY cool warp sequence instead of simply sexy cruising around. this ship looks like it should be able to open a transwarp conduit or even wormhole. maybe come back to it at a later date?
Agreed, what's the center ring for if you've also got warp nacelles? I like the Alcubierre/Vulcan look too, but it's gotta do something.

Ship idea & sorry I have no artistic ability to make my own lol but imagine a Klingon battle cruiser back hull layout but connected to the neck base of a sovereign class saucer and in first contact style appearance outside and federation style interior but with the Klingon military style function. They could call it a first collaboration ship for the defense of the alpha quadrant in the borg war :-) like how the euro fighter was a massive joint project by all the nations of the EU :-)

Normally, I wouldn't like this ship at all, for violating several different Star Trek traditions for no particular reason. However Discovery has taught me that it can make sense in context, if the drive system requires it. That many torpedo launches does seem a bit excessive though.

I think that this would work well as a 32c Enterprise, really cool design after seeing some of what ridiculous designs came out of discovery.
I like the design and you definitely have the creative mindset to create very unique ships and the skills to properly execute them, something that is very rare. However, this one seems a lot less sharpened out, and it feels kinda clunky. Maybe it's just the software youre using, but either way it could use a lot of improvement. I hope you learn more and are able to improve upon your future designs some day!
The view from astern she looks like a Vulcan cruiser with those rings as that's their warp engine.

It should use the spores tecnology. It is beyond the warp speeds. The Discovery ship can go to anywhere in this universe, and others, in just half a second.

Whenever I see a ship, I always wonder where the main deflector is---I'm guessing there's deflector emitters on the rings?
And I'm surprised there are more torpedo launchers than there are phasers...
