I like how in the game manual, is shows that the characters have different opinions of one another, whether they "like", "dislike" "friends with" or "love" another character. Apparently this is depicted during their voice lines before races
I love this game. As far as I know, its unique interactive mode is one-of-a-kind and had never occurred before or after in any racing game ever. In this mode, the switching between the short and long versions as you race around the track has a set pattern but doesn't change back and forth with each lap. More importantly, the player can "trigger" a pattern-breaking route change by doing various, track-specific, actions during a race such as hitting track-side tires in the Japan track or clearing all cones by the snow plow in the Alpine track. Hence, an "interactive" mode. Furthermore, the horn is actually functional in the USA track for stopping the street sweepers from crossing the track to clear the boxes. This game is full of weird secrets that no one seems to talk about anymore. Great video. Thanks for the review.

The main problem I see with this game is FOV. Too narrow for its own good.
