Apparently when asked if they were ok with people seeing their car crash in the movie, a representative for Lamborghini told Marvel that it was actually positive publicity, because the fact that Strange survived that terrible crash shows how safe their cars are. I think it was also a condition that the crash be the driver's fault.
I read somewhere that the director (or writer?) said that Strange was actually in the time loop for hundreds of years and literally became a master during that time
To clarify the Sanctum and Sorcerers not working with Avengers, they usually specialize in alternate dimension/magic related threats. Tony with Ultron tried to protect from physical threats.
22:19 A photographic memory is probably less spectacular in real life than it is in stories. The coolest real-world memory ability that I know of belongs to actress Marilu Henner, from the TV Show “Taxi.” She doesn’t have a “photographic” memory, but she has what might be called “perfect” memory. She can recall details from just about every day of her life - you name a day, she can tell you what day of the week it was and what she did on that day.
@@Elipson52008 We rarely ever lose all our terrible memories, because they were big moments in our lives, and they shaped our clay, so your point is moot. @@MMAisTHEbestSPORT08Yes, we would still remember that an event happened, but the details would be all fuzzy. with photographic memory you would remember every single minute thing.
The Ancient One drawing power from the dark dimension wasn't necessarily a bad thing, I and everyone else agree, but Dr Strange mentioning it was pointing out the hypocrisy of the Ancient One condemning the dark dimension but benefiting from it at the same time
That’s why Kaecillius called her “hypocrite” in the opening scene. Because the spells she was casting were impossible to do without access to the Dark Dimension for power. She tipped her hand to inform him he was up against limitless power and endurance, so then he started making aether-knives and swords to kill her physically.
Scott Derrickson directed this movie. He specializes in the horror genre. So there were certain elements that were deemed “scary” to an extent - from the extended hands to the tipped mop jolting Christine. One of the things I liked the most about this movie was the all-star cast that we got - half of which is British. Benedict Cumberbatch wanted to join the MCU, but he wanted a role that sparked his interest. @25:10 those are the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. @27:24 Scott Adkins is a pro-level martial artist. The mystic shield protects the world from beings from other dimensions and realities, but not from other worlds in space. The Sorcerers safeguard the world only from supernatural threats.
Although there is a constant plot hole in all marvel movies of "why did none of the other heros help with this one" for the sorcerers they are pretty much only concerned with interdimensional threats not aliens and terrorists and the like. Also why Ultron being earths first line of defense had nothing to do with them, Tony made Ultron to defend from alien invaders and the like not dimension swallowing beings or time paradoxes and stuff that threatens the fabric of reality itself.
If you remeber back in the winter soldier on the rooftop when cap is asking that guy about "project insight" and the guy names off a few people who could be future threats to hydra, one of the names is stephen strange! Pretty cool stuff.
The acting is phenomenal in this film. My favorite scene is after Strange defends the NY sanctum and he confronts the Ancient One and Mordo about her connection to the dark dimension. Mordo might have the best "secondary" character development in the MCU.
For time frame, I believe the start of the film is around the time of Iron Man 2. he spends about 5 years searching for a medical solution to restore his hands and a year in Kamar-taj
The immortality they use is the one that protects you from dying of old age, that's the logical immortality that could exist in real life with technologies and evolution. However, the immortality which includes infinite regeneration for wounds is more relaying on magic.

Kinda off topic I guess but the whole doctors not helping patients because it’ll hurt their reputation is unfortunately very true. My mother has some very complicated medical conditions afflicting her spine and I cannot tell you how many times specialists some of them even world renowned refused to see her as a patient let alone perform a surgery on her because it would damage their reputation. To be fair the surgery she may need does have a high mortality rate but it still doesn’t change that should my mother need this surgery we can’t even find a doctor willing to do it because of the reputation damage loosing a patient on the table brings. They simply say she is beyond their capabilities and you’d have to be insane to accept her as a patient.
