Judy is a legend and the greatest voice of the 20th century. She had no competition. Not only was her vocal ability spectacular but she had a true elegance. I have loved and adored her since I was 12 years old.
Thank you for this. I am I Judy heaven. Nowadays everyone is branded a "superstar" and a "legend". It's bloody ridiculous. This lady is a "superstar" and a "legend".
In these days they have ruined comedy a legend today sings song's that turn into WHAT, Rap these were the days that people were kind, fun, With True Comedy & Song!
It breaks my heart to hear sing the words throw away the pills and then in another show she sings old man river and the lyrics, Im tired of living but afraid of dying and it just resonates. The world lost so much when we lost Judy😢
man, Judy was one of a kind. Watched Oz as a kid and only recently took an interest in her work and career after learning about her troubled past. She was a gift that keeps giving to the entertainment industry.
The wonderful Judy Garland Show! Thank you, she was not just a wonderful singer, she was great as the host of this show. However, the best of every show was when she sang alone. Thank you for posting this!
So here's a question: who shakes a better feather boa..Peggy or Judy? Show #13 was one of the best of the variety show format. The chemistry between Judy and her guests Peggy and Jack Carter was spot on and to top it all off, Judy gives a fantastic rendition of When You're Smiling.
THANKS FOR DOWNLOADING THESE GREAT SHOWS....I AM 83 NOW AND REMEMBER WATCHING HER EVERY SATURDAY NIGHT........OR WAS IT SUNDAY NIGHT???? ANYWAY, .SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN CANCELED....
CBS put it on Sunday night opposite ‘Bonanza’-Judy and co never stood a chance- thank goodness we have these incredible recordings of the greatest entertainer of the 20th century 👍🏻
Wonderful, beautiful, heart-stopping and irrepressible Judy Garland!🤗😇👍💞 Do you know if all 26 episodes of The Judy Garland show are available on Blu-ray or DVD? 🤔 Thank you from all the millions and future millions of Judy Garland fans!!!🤗♥️
An interviewer once asked Judy (around 1967) who was her favorite female singer - without any hesitation, Judy simply replied, "Peggy Lee." No doubt, Judy had this very show in mind when she said this. With the great and lovely Peggy, LESS (vocally) was a mountain of MORE.
After this episode, CBS ( Jim Aubrey) did not want to continue with this show. Judy's contract gave her the right to continue for an additional 13 weeks, which she chose. Since the ratings weren't high, Aubrey blamed Judy. He believed that Judy's talent had deserted her and that she was a dangerous, multi-million-dollar mistake. He did everything he could to hassle her and let the show sink into quicksand. He refused to move the show to another night. Judy and Bill Colleran pulled off a minor miracle with the series of shows they did together. Colleran eliminated the terrible insult humor and showcased Judy as the great star she was.
I see what you're getting it, but part of Judy's appeal- whether people admit it or not- was her sort of, well, unwholesome persona. As if, holy smokes, what happened to Dorothy?
I love the glistening beads on Judy and Peggy's gowns. Beautiful handiwork of Ray Aghayan and Bob Mackie.
Peggy Lee is magical

Are you 12 and a half now?
She's great but there were lots of great voices.
Such a great performance of Never, Never Will I Marry.
I miss Judy!
Judy was one of America's great popular singers.
Judy's show was fabulous-I never realized how much until now.
I think this is one of the very best episodes....both Peggy Lee and Jack Carter were wonderful guests
Jack's monologue about kids was terrific!
Peggy did a great version of "When The World Was Young".

Never Will I Marry was the highlight of the show for me - great performance of a Frank Loesser song
Judy was sweet, talented and classy.🙂

Captivating performances from all parties in this episode!
My God what a talent!!!!!
Lee is brilliant. The high point of the show where you can see the seams start to come apart. JG deserved better treatment by CBS.

The show aired on Sundays.
I remember sitting in front of our old tv set when I was 3. I would cry to get my way-we're watching her! I'm 62 now and I still am crazy about her.

Judy's version of Eliza Doolittle! 🤣 I'm dying! 🤣
Judy and Jack's tribute to classic musicals was ribtickling!

They were all released on DVD in the early 2000's. They're now out of print and a bit muddled. Often they're on Ebay for ridiculous prices.
Anymore please please
Carl is so specific about what he wants lol
The late, great Mr. Carl Reiner--a TV legend!

The "Judy Garland Show" only ran for one season because CBS unwisely elected to air the show opposite NBC's top-rated western "Bonanza".
Mind control pushing smoking
horror upon horror. Like an ashtray with scotch flavoured lipstick.
But what don't you like about her?
@@sheg1969 Some people will find a way to complain about the majesty of nature.
you probably are a horror what the hell

Who gave Jack Carter these lines, weird jokes about the teenagers generation? The CBS office was old people only...
At least there was nothing vulgar or tasteless about Jack's monologue.
How the fuck did Jack Carter have a career?
Throwing "fuck" into a comment is always the sign of a milquetoast
