Jane, a retired university math teacher, started this volunteer project in April 2009. Positive feedback from wonderful viewers worldwide keeps her motivated. Jane is a strong advocate of reading music. She made unconventional sight-reading lessons that simplifies reading music.

I had a piano teacher for about 3 months and then I could not keep affording to take lessons, but she had me buy burgmuller's book. I wasn't a fan of the music. I accidentally stumbled upon this video, and this piece seems good. I hadn't looked at my burgmuller book since I quit taking lessons.
I find his pieces fun to play. But if you truly don't like Burgmuller works, pick something you like! :)
sure. I just couldn't understand why my teacher thought I needed burgmuller. I was begging her to teach me chopin, cuz his music excites me. I kind of started piano really late and I just dove into the harder stuff, because those pieces are why I wanted to learn piano. I think I basically just like Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt. Other than that I like playing Blues, Latin, and I have few Jazz books but I find Jazz to be really hard compared to classical pieces. I do like this burgmuller that you are playing, so I got my book out and I'm going to learn this

I love how you put the piece on top
Thanks
i realize it's quite off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream new movies online?
Beautiful Adieu (Adeus). Thanks too much, Jane.

Hi Marina, you’re so welcome. Thanks for writing!
Does “Allegro molto agitato” translate to stress?
seems that way!
Love the song ❤
That’s wonderful 😊
Wow cool
😊
You play very nice piano🎹
Thanks 😊
A little bit slower would be very nice. Couldn't keep up with finger's numbers ☹️
Hi Liam, make use of the speed tool?
Jane I am Liam's mom. He is 6 y.o. and just start working on this piece. Not all fingers numbers is written on the sheet music. He knows the notes, he just want to know what fingers to play. If you can can help, would be great.
Hello Laim's mom. My hands might be larger than his? Ask Liam to experiment with different fingering, jot each set down with a pencil , then erase all but the most comfortable. Both hand size and structure come into play. Yet, if Liam insists on following my fingering, set the speed to 0.5x, and imitate. There's no need to write anything down.
voy en esa pieza de bugmuller a aprender a tocarla y mejor se aprende si la oigo primero o la solfeo no?
Better to challenge yourself first, refer to the tutorial when in doubt.
Me : okay I'm gonna find out how to actually play this
*finds videos of it*
Me : NOPE TO FAST WHY JUST WHY NONONONO I'M QUITTING LESSONS
Alright. The tutorial is not for watching through. You should be reading the score yourself while playing each note. When you are unsure of notes or fingering, check the tutorial. Be a good peach and practice. Ok? :)
I have the book at my house I'm assigned to learn it and i just gave up on it like i haven't practiced it and it's been a few weeks since i got told to play that piece
How did you learn to play piano like that?!🙂
I was a bad piano student, didn’t like to practice anything but scales and arpeggios 😊
What’s arpeggios, I’ve never heard of it?
Made lessons on “scales and arpeggios “. Those are invaluable for building technique. Practice those 15 minutes a day.
Oh, now I know. Thanks!
I am going to start this piece, and I don't know why, but it scares me.
You’ll be fine. Practice 2 measures at a time. Go slow and use a metronome. When no mistakes, tick it up 1 or 2 bpm.

Wow asomem
☺️
What age did you learn piano Jane?🤔
Took lessons age 12 to 17
Very good (edit)but the beginning is way to slow
Thanks, use the speed tool? slow helps more viewers!
0:45 skip the notes
Do you play all Burgmuller songs? Are they all easy to you?
Made tutorials only. My teacher never assigned his works. Doubt all his works are easy.
traumatic etude 😄
Yes, this is supposed to be an agitated farewell -- except for the short C major section in the middle. play with anger and sadness!
Maybe go faster because it says 132. But other than that to me this is a GREAT video and keep up the great work I enjoy your tutorials and videos a lot😊😁🙂☺
Hi there, thanks for writing. Please know my tutorials are for occasional reference. Going faster won't help anyone :) When the tutorial feels too slow, we can use the speed tool.
Not bad but too slow
Did you take this as a performance? 😂. My tutorials are for occasional reference, slow helps more viewers, you can use the speed tool, right?
Thank you
You’re welcome
