Thanks for this video. Great help!! All 18 magnets intact, but many loose and in shifted position. I will use JB Weld and epoxy primer - hope they stuck for some years. Thanks.
Thanks forr that info, mine has injector issue ,changed for injector same issue again.looked at flywheel and magnets have moved .so hopeing this will fix it.wouldnt it also put engins out of balance ?
Do all of them attract? I reglued mine only two magnets need it, same spots so nothing has changed and painted with expoy paint but now they are all attracting if I put any metal near them plz some help with a answer
just out of curiosity i just brought a boat with an etec 115 on it everything is all good by the mechanic but he said i might need to get a new fly wheel because its a bit rusty and could possibly have the same issue of the magnets pulling just wandering is there a way to get all the magnets off so i can sanblast the flywheel, paint it and glue them back on? cheers.
Generally the magnets will come loose on their own. If they are not loose I would not attempt to remove them Maybe sure up the edges with some two part epoxy.
Mine were all there too. One broke on me and I epoxied it back together and she’s as good as new. Once again thanks for the video. Saved me from buying a new flywheel.
@@marinemodscom did you have to set the timing after replacing the etec? Also Im doing the same exact thing on my 07 150 etec if the magnets fly out and break, and lock up the flywheel on and off can it cause further damage to other parts of the engine?
@@Wikernb I don't think the magnets themselves will cause damage they will more than like shred. Since I used the same flywheel I did not set the timing.
great information from an owner of 1 of these engines here in the UK
Hi, what is the dimention for the bolts that you use for pulling the flywheel of? Difficult to find the correct bolt here in Norway..
Hello , I'm looking for a magnet kit for Evinrude 115hp. where can i get it? Is there a store that sells it?
Sure don't - I don't believe they sold them speperate. You have to get the whole flywheel. Check eBay etc..
Tq for info...

It looks like this was done about a year ago, how did it work? Still working without issues? Thanks!
Spoke with the customer couple days ago still running srong
Just wondering why you pulled the computer off? I'm getting ready to do this with my etec 225.
The pan under flywheel had to be removed. Not sure if this is your case.
Great information! Can you purchase the magnets, if so where and what should you search for these magnets?
I have not sourced them

Great video. Where did you purchase the missing magnets? Can’t find them online.

what flywheel puller did you use?
I purchased a puller kit several years ago from a guy off eBay

Comments are good for the youtube algorithm.
I am pushing my RUclips page more and more.
I just tried this and had a magnet shoot out of my hand and shatter. Now what?
Tray and see if you have at least 50%
