Much like the movie on which it's based, RoboCop 2 isn't as good as the original. Data East pushed this sequel into beat 'em up territory, but it never really feels like a fun experience.
It broadly follows the film's plot, with RoboCop hunting down drug lord Cain. You'll probably recognise levels based on certain scenes, but there's also some original-yet-bland filler in there too.

Games like this are one of the reasons I love video games so much. Never seen this one before (and incidentally, never watched the movie either), but boy can I tell this is the same developer that did _Night Slashers_ !

Wow, that was pretty violent the way that guy got crushed in his truck.
This doesn't look as ball bustingly, quarter munchingly hard as most arcade beat 'em ups. The fact that you can deal and take a lot of damage to offset that slow speed just makes it seem like the that the devs really wanted to get you that Robocop experience.
I mean seriously, all the shooting poses.. Yep, the developers must have really loved robocop.
Is also a pretty good retelling of the movie, all the best bits are there.
The player is very good. I could complete it with one credit back in the day. Took a lot of practice tho😊

I remember playing this arcade as a kid. I was so close to beating it and ran out of quarters😭😭 I always wanted another crack it but never had the chance

It would be cool, but I doubt it, they're most likely a throw back to the original robocop.
Apparently they filmed a death for the Elvis guy, but Lewis killed him with a knife.
The first level was a break and entry at a gun shop. Robocop killed about 80 people to get there, a bunch of them unarmed, then confronts the theif, who despite robbing a gun store decides to attack with a chainsaw. Gotta love 80 & 90's video gaming

These are the kind of games I wanted on the Super Nintendo.... but at least we got StreetFighter
This looks kinda fun. The graphics and character models are somewhat better than the first game, theres more weapons to use, the beat em up, rail gun and bonus stage sections doesnt look that bad. Sucks that the music and some sound effects are far too loud and the soundbite quality isnt great.
Here are a game who was realy a fever here in Volta Redonda in the 90s, very nice coin-up game.

I'd ask my mom where's my nintendo " go ask your father" I go ask this ho of a man " I pawned it we didn't have no food". I use to get my nintendo for christmas out the pawnshop lmao

great game but they got rid of the sound bytes like "drop it!" and so on. really took away from the character. same with the soundtrack. sounds 100% generic and uninspired by robocop. part 1 actually sounded like robocop inspired by the movie
This game was rushed into production to be put in the Arcades in time to tie in with the movie. Play Golden Axe instead, much more impressive and rewarding..
You may be right considering the amount of unused sprites there is for Robocop in the rail-shooter sections
Compared to Robocop i really don't like this game. Capcom made many games with similar mechanisms and they were very good. This one is at most average. I am not sure what is jump for in it ...
