Akruas really does have the most aesthetic sense and style out of any Cities: Skylines content creator I've seen so far. These builds are just... so far beyond next-level that I can't even give it the praise it deserves.
The residents of that semicircular building on the river side of the mountain are going to have one hell of a view. Only the very tallest of sky scrapers would be able to block that view.
Loving the frequency of uploads and the time you’re dedicating for this massive project. Really loving the look and vibe of the city so far, I was thinking though I feel some of the floor designs need a little more variety though that’s a personal opinion, if you’re happy with what you’ve made then there’s no reason in changing
@@jakegtr Yeah it's looking nice, I'm not too familiar with Cities: Skylines editing mod tools but I'm liking majority of the designs, but I was hoping some of the houses had like a little pool but I'm not sure how doable that is?
Lovely episode! Two ideas/suggestions that might enhance the realism of that new low-density part of the city: -You could add a small "bus" line with those small pod vehicles to transport people from the tram station to the top of the hill. I know low mobility citizens are not a top priority, but those tiny futuristic vehicles would fit perfectly well with these low capacity red roads -Since that area of the city is very residential-focused, playgrounds and schools would be very welcome! I believe you already have that planned, but that green open park could house a futuristic primary school and some sports fields (maybe even some sort of 'future sport' with futuristic elements on a green field!)
your creativity is amazing man. I love your videos and I always try to make the most of this wonderful content, but it seems like I have to watch it 3 times to make up for it hahaha :)
This looks incredibly hard to build. In the end, though, it looks fantastic. I think the focus on the Tramway line is what makes this part of the city unique.
I would like to live in one of those terrace homes. Amazing view. I couldn’t quite tell but it seems that the beanstalk would be right in front of you off in the distance. With the clean white walls and grass roofs and terraces, this area really reminds me of the nicer parts of Aurelia. I wonder if some of the people who settled here were from Aurelia.
24:38 those houses are actually called terraced houses, I actually used to live in one in switzerland, and we called them Terrasenhaus, literally translating to terraced house
The "low density" hillside residential area is probably going to need a bus service, I think. You should probably allow side parking in some parts of the streets there as well. BTW, the word you're looking for is "street" when you're talking about "very low capacity roads". I wonder if there has been a fan made map and/or wiki for *Asturis* like Gareth's *Amphitros* does? When Asturis gets completed, a transit map would be really cool to see, maybe we could even invent a history/lore for Asturis.
I really love this series and is a major influence on my scifi city. The one thing i'd change is, well, the city is a bit *too* nice at the moment. I think something less unsavoury like a slum or poorer area would make it feel even more realistic. But your city is amazing and i am impressed by your ability.
that's so gorgeous... that shit's like hobbit homes in the scifi age. though i do feel bad for the older hobbits living on the top floors of those terraced apartments

10:58 For the 4 × 3 × 4 terrace houses: If you get the stairs beside each column with fake doors (added 15:52), can't you put your block service houses in there near the fake entrances (and add invisible pedestrian paths on the stairs) so people actually go there? 22:58 The way the pedestrian croud is moving from the tram line around the square and to the building looks like there is some more direct pedestrian path missing here. (Watching on a 60 cm screen.)
we have something similar in Italy, in the area of Genova: huge concrete buildings nestled into the cliff, with roads that go through tunnels into buildings. Dystopic brutalism.
Beautiful as always! Those terraces might have made for really nice community gardens (social place where people grow food for themselves and each other). That got me thinking, I haven't noticed any explicit community places in this map yet. Any plans for dedicated libraries, schools, community halls, maker-spaces, town halls, universities, etc?
Are there plans for freeways in Asturis. I think it would be interesting to see a historical freeway turned in to an avenue or something. There could be hints of previous ramps and interchanges. It would give the city more depth because at the moment it seems too good to be true. Loving the series!
Awesome work Akruas. What Tram station platform asset do you use at your Tram stops? Looks so nice and can't find it. @1:32 . It looked like you simply added a stop and the platform was auto placed. Curious. Thanks a ton! Found it! It was part of Clus LRT Networks. I just overlooked the platforms.
I love watching ur videos and I'm amazed by the way u turn some basic building/assets into beautiful spaces. You always use different methods to do it and it's turns so great everytime !! First, I dont get how u can elevate trees/bushes/lightings/other assets only with Move it, is their a shortkey other than page up or down. Third, I tried to follow what u did to do holographics texts but I didn't manage to understand it, is their something special to do to get holographic texts. Sometimes you talk about converting buildings into procedural objects as if it's something you'd prefer not to do whenever it's possible. Is there a reason why you wouldn't want a building to be a procedural object?
@@regulate.artificer_g23.mdctlsk railroad turns is too angled. Radius muat be 750 meters at least, 1050 is better. That infrastructure is so expensive.
