This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. A few of my favorite moments happen: running his hands through his hair 1:08, the hair again 1:25, his character 1:42, his hips 1:54, his little dance at 2:03, his attitude at 2:41, and basically the entire video. I love his face every time they do a close up shot.
They need to make a CD of all of these recordings. I would definitely buy it (and not just because Aaron is on it).

Something that I love about Broadway actors, and it seems to be something that you find in Broadway actors but not actors who can sing, is that they have stage presence when they sing to the point where you can't just listen to them because you have to watch them if that makes sense.

this is a really fun video. it is not just that Tveit's voice is so pretty but his mannerisms throughout are so playful and acted out so thoroughly in character (but not overly done).

+Bex S. Why does it make you sad? Thats like those who saw him in rent going off on one because of those who know him from hairspray. People who started loving him from Grease may have never heard of him before, then they get to watch such a great show and fell in love with him. Having a "I was here first" mentality is ridiculous, I only heard of him when I saw the first #outofoz having watched Les Miz and not knowing who he was in it, now i'v watched pretty much everything I could find on RUclips. Instead of being sad because he's getting bigger and more respect for his performances be happy that his fan base is growing.

I really don't think changing the pronouns in a song, as long as they don't change a rhyme or couplet, and the song still remains true to its integrity, I think its fine. Example: When Robin de Jesus covered breathe from in the heights.

just watched Aaron Tveit in American Horror Stories, I couldn't put my finger on where I new that face, but it dawned on me and I nearly leapt out of my chair. nothing thrills me more then randomly stumbling across musical royalty in other media, still giddy over Sophia Anne Caruso in Evil, and Alex Brightman in Law & Order: SVU

This shows how you can be perfectly fine tuned but if you don't got the character down it just won't work. At 2:18 he finally let go and found Glinda-- that's when he started to shine
He is a terrific actor. Not just a singer. He's got the character down from the very start. You could hear and see shifts of the character, singing the whole monologue. If you only saw it at 2:18, then you have to watch again.
For me it was about 1:42 when he sang, "I Know about Popular." -That moment alone melted me. lol ;)

they put this in the loveliest key for him (truly, a tenor dream) and it works so well. i’ve been coming back to this for years, and i gotta say, i actually love his interpretation of glinda very much. it could have easily veered into obnoxious, considering the gender-swap, but he gave it simultaneously such levity and depth.
