Hi Robbie, haven’t been out that nursery way for decades. My husband and I are both naturalists and believe in growing our own organic food, and did. For almost 50 years we raised all kinds of animals- and produce. Always cognizant of the pollution growing in our commercial food supplies. That said, a UC study done in late 1960s concluded one of the UNHEALTHIEST areas for crops was along our recently constructed freeways. This study analyzed the soil health 300-500 feet from freeway 5 of the strawberry and orange groves right near where you just visited. Vast farmland growing market produce. There were NO EARTHWORMS!!! So your nursery’s food plants grown so close to fwy 605, I for one, wouldn’t buy them and certainly wouldn’t eat them. As you often say, “I’m not telling you not to, you do what you want to…” But I am saying “I’d avoid at all cost.” A California native who moved from Burbank to get out of smog and Lockheed aircraft flying directly over head. Cheers, MaryAnne from Ramona💁🏻♀️ 💪👩🏻🌾 👍 PS sorry they didn’t have Angels Perfume. I’m still looking and my big nurseries can’t locate any to order. But still looking. They did get Emu, and purple tree collards. Sadly no one can locate Mushroom plants either. 🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for taking us with you! I sure wouldn't want to be the one who sat all those flowers out of the greenhouses lol. I would be in heaven there and broke when I left lol. ❤😊😊❤
The emus are growing so fast. I also love flowers. I purchased some baby formula on clearance today. I remembered that has helped you with plants. Thank you for a wonderful video.
Thank you for taking us with you. I've never seen so many plants. I'm enjoying your geraniums since they don't last here. Too cold! Very happy to "Eat what I grow" :) thanks to you and Gary. Have fun planting. Happy Gardening!
I recently fell in love with geraniums also. They grow like weeds in southern California. I saw a beautiful one at the public library a broke off a piece and stuck it in a pot . It grew huge without any trouble 🥰
I love it when you go shopping for plants...so many beautiful flowers! The emus are so cute, love seeing sweet little Zoe too. So relaxing looking at your bird garden and Gary's garden too....I would much rather see this than watch or hear about current news stories. Thank you Robbie and Gary....and Zoe 🐶❤ from San Antone, Texas 🤠
The emus must love wondering in your garden. So many neat places to explore. I thought you would of purchased that beautiful Dahlia! Beautiful bird garden!
So beautiful! I gave up on my garden this year. But I gave all of my raised beds that I built to an older lady that needed them, so I feel better about it. I am getting ready to move, and the climate I am in is just not good to grow in without extreme infrastructure. My climate at this point is comparable to Death Valley.
What a fun visit!!! Thanks for binging us along with you on your shopping trip. Our deer loved my Okra - I planted it along the fence line to make it easier for them to reach. 🙂
You got some really pretty plants and flowers. They look right at home in your bird garden. 🐦🦋🌼🌸😊 Love how Zoe keeps an eye on the emu's. She's so good with them. 💕
I did a delivery for Walmart once. It was 6,000 plants from California to Virginia. I had to deliver to the garden shops of 3 separate Walmart's. 2,000 plants at each drop. I hated it, it was a hand carry unload. From north west of Sacramento to Virginia Beach. Nice plants though.
My daughter got me a geranium and a begonia, big hanging baskets, on clearance, for $2.50, that don’t look so healthy, but she knows I love to fix them, I am working on a flower bed for the birds, bees, and butterflies, near my porch, so I am trying to fill it with whatever I can, then I am going to work on it more in the fall to be able to make it the way I want to next year. I planted a bunch of varieties of sunflowers, from mammoth to short, I can’t wait to see them grow.
Beautiful flowers! I am trying out ollas at home in several container gardens. It gets so dry and hot here in Central Texas so I am hoping this additional remedy helps! I am making most of my ollas out of terra cotta pots. 😊
What a haul!! I’m such a fan of geraniums and you found some gorgeous types. This trip also reminded me to pick up some herbs to bolt and feed the birds. Thanks for taking us along! P.S. My Lulumiao pet fountain arrived today! I just put it out for the hummingbirds. P.P.S. Looks like Zoe found her herd! 💕
Over the winter I suddenly grew an addiction to Geraiums also and was learning how to propagate them. I'm in N.Y so I'm gonna try and overwinter them this year. You got some real pretty ones. Let us know how your doing with them time from time. Thanks for the trip!
Hello noraalvaredo in New York, I’m from there too, and we used to overwinter our geraniums each Fall. Mom would take them out of the pots, shake the dirt off and hang them upside down on the basement rafters in a paper bag until Spring. Then she’d put them back in the soil in a pot and keep them on a sunny window until it was time to bring them outside. Happy memories! Good luck with yours.
our walmart has already taken everything in the garden inside and closed the garden area outside. their prices were outrageous and nobody would buy a plant for $32! what a shame. glad I bought some things early on when they were $11.
Wud be interesting to see how you grow pineapple sage …meant tell u how many I have killed 😔 I’m always on the hunt for great nursery throughout the greater LA and SD areA… love your nursery trips !
He has keys!!! And not the big ones. I have a key fob. And the wipers and the light and the heat are all in different places. Cars are getting more and more difficult to drive.
❤️🥰😻 I just love how your puppy seems to be a babysitter or protector of the baby emu’s. They are going to have an amazing bond. 🥰
I hope so! They get really big 😳❤️
Zoe is funny❤

Hi Robbie!
Hi Jackie
Wish we had places like that.
Maybe try to check online in your area to see what hidden places you may have near by
It is really fun to go shopping with you but this time I was getting a bit dizzy from all of the twirling around. Thanks for taking us along.
Sorry, I will try to slow down more next time
Enjoyed the nursery run, those geraniums are so pretty, love the colors!
Nice video! Maybe you can do one on how to save poppy pods?
Love your road trip. You and Gary are so interesting..
Hallo Robbie, good morning from Malaysia. Tq for sharing eye candies ❤❤❤
My pleasure to You in Malaysia! Thank you ❤️

Those blue flowers would be in my cart first thing...
I totally understand on the truck. As long as it works!
Girl I grew up in Downey California next to the 605 freeway. My sister still lives there. I know exactly where your at. I now live in Riverside County
Wow! What a cool nursery! I would’ve gotten in big trouble there!😆
Oh wow they have alot of plants there. The gazanias are pretty. I just sow some seeds for them.
I like geraniums, especially the regal.
Hope the seeds do great! Thank you so much!❤️

Very true ❤😊
Robbie , love the nursery but nothing is coming up for the name CPG , does it have another name?
Certified plant growers, in Norwalk
❤
I have Never seen tree collard for sale in Texas.
They don’t sell tree collard in most nurseries, here because you can only get them by cuttings
Robbie what kind if lettuce do grow? I have butter crunch not growing do good.
Like my mama say,"Life" is like a box of chocolate ,she said to me,Robbie?.
I hate when they don’t have prices!! No good marketing manager!! Shame!!
They have up front where one pays most of the prices, it mainly goes by Pot size. Starts at $2 for the small pots up to $4.95 for the small plants ❤
I noticed no one is there shopping except you. Strange.
