    About this video:
The weather is getting a bit more spring like with less possibility of frost so I went ahead and planted up some spring containers. I love to use perennials in containers. I find this a great way to stretch the gardening budget. Where annuals are bought and grown for a short period of time, perennials can be used in containers, then later planted in the garden to enjoy for years to come. I also share with you my recipe for a hummingbird syrup. Its easy to make and my hummies love it! Thanks for watching - Steph (Gardening in Massachusetts zone 6b) #spring #plantingplants #springporch

I'm in Montana, and my first ones showed up April 25. I fill 5 feeders because none of my flowers that they like are blooming yet. I grew zinnias for the first time last year, and the hummingbirds were all over them. They also like sunflowers, which I never knew. I love hummingbirds. Been feeding them for about 10 years now.

Love all the pots cascading down the steps. The colors and different pot styles is really pretty. I love other's tulips, but can't invest the heart and time for such a short lived pay off. So thank you for letting me enjoy yours. I don't put anything out, but I have humming birds every year in my backyard for the 52 years I have been in my house.

Love your beautiful entry pots; I agree that perennials are great in planters and a bonus is that so many are very early bloomers that can take the frosts. That Autumn Joy sedum is very easy to propagate from any stem; I usually pot up any that have broken during replanting and they root quite readily. Your raised bed garden looks so inviting and I imagine you are looking forward to planting in it. Great video!

I have a lot of perennial pot's of flower's and I use garden vine weevil nematode's in spring and autumn and it put's manner's on them.

You do such an amazing job! Absolutely beautiful! You’ve inspired me to try! I LOVE flowers and have been educating myself on how to plant them properly. I was a little in, but seeing your beautiful flowers makes me excited to try. Thank you for sharing
