In the hills (on the left side of track while going from Shindawane to Pune), there was metre gauge route - Pune to Bangalore, closed in 1972. Only stone bridges remain now on this track. More bridges & a few tunnels can be seen in hills near Phursungi station(next to Alandi station on this route).
