I bought one of his albums in vinyl in my youth…His face was on the front wearing I think a black beret hat…He had the most cracking cheekbones 🥰 That album got played a lot! I have just recently sold most of my vinyls including the one of Charlie Sexton…Memories…Cheers for sharing! X
He’s played with Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Bowie too. He’s done countless sessions and he produces with his own record co. I believe Arc Angels? He’s amazing and Bob Dylan (he’s worked with father and son) said he loves Charlie and wishes he was a big star when Charlie was still very young. I wish he was too, but at least he’s had a lot of really good gigs with a lot of great musicians. He’s got it all.
Such a talent - victimized by unfortunate 80’s packaging…Glad he’s had a long-sustained career as a group member/session player, beyond the Aqua Net and Keith Forsey/Billy Idol-lite era.

My wife and her friend saw CS at that time in EPTX and the women there were so ravenous for CS that another girl bit my wife’s friend. Actually, bit her. Crazy.

Bowie actually loved Charlie's talent (guitar, vocals) and took him on tour with him. Also, SRV was keeping his eye on this "kid" and thought he was so talented. Sexton is no joke...
WTF were they thinking! Had forgotten about this guy, fortunately his talent has endured, but FFS, that was cringeworthy! The audience non-reaction speaks volumes.

Lucky to have seen Charlie Sexton with Arc Angels many times in Austin. When their album came out in the early 90’s I wore that thing out.
