He is so incredibly handsome 😍
I love how Leo gives him a look as she leaves, a look that's like "don't mess this up man, seriously".
He's so strikingly handsome he looks like a prince 😊🤩😍👌
Leonora is so cute and when she left the room looking like she knew what was going on so smart it made me want to give her a really big hug and Colbourne is sad that Charlotte is thinking badly of him and this is all he not wants.
Having seen episode 5 I can say Alexander did what he felt appropriate to do. His delivery may not have been the best, but viewers will understand by the end of the episode....and it's heartbreaking 💔.
Same. I’ve seen the episode and honestly, this scene is really really well written and acted. I love watching these two learn to trust each other, meet each other in the middle, and communicate.
Nobody ships Heybourne like Leo. She's adorable.
This episode will air tonight on PBS here in the US. I appreciate the clips and I’m fine with spoilers. I had a feeling there was more to this story regarding Alexander and the captain and looks like I was right. Thank you for these clips from episode 5.
He did warn her.😏😞
He is very handsome in this scene but other scenes such as when he and Samuel met Mary, Charlotte and Georgiana, he looked thinner and pale. Or when he was outside the church at the Lady Denham's failed married or when he was in the horse stable with Lady Montrose and Lady Lydia. Perhaps it was his hair style, the shaved appearance and the chosen waistcoat. Just my opinion. Thank you Susan for uploading.
To me he always looked handsome. 💗
In fact, his face is different in many scenes, I think it's the different hairstyle and the hat on his head that makes him older in some scenes and younger in other scenes, but when he wears the hat on his head he always looks much older.
He changes from super cute boyish to grown up hot man easily.
Who thinks Ms Wheatley told Alexander what Charlotte said about him in their conversation. 🙋🏻♀️I think that’s why he’s here to speak (clear the air) with her in this scene. Haaa!!! ☺️☺️😀
I think she did, and I believe she will be working behind the scenes to help bring them back together. Her smile when she says "wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles" shows us how happy she is to see joy back in the house. She won't give up until those two are together again ❤️
@@susanfirth9883 🙌🏻 💗💗 I love seeing her motherly love for Xander.
Does anyone think there is possibility of Mrs. Wheatley being Georgiana's mother?
@@marymesesan7139 I have a feeling that she may have known Georgiana’s mother. She might be able to help Georgiana find her, but I don’t think she’s her mom...
It seems like this is the day after the garden party. At most two days later if there was a Sunday in between. Otherwise why would Leonora be asking about it. Charlotte & Alex talk like they’ve gone days without speaking.
The Garden Party was the day before this conversation. And it says so much about how Alexander has come to enjoy talking with Charlotte that he phrases it that way. "I don't think we've exchanged a word since..." and she finishes it, "Lady Denham's." They both know how unusual it is for them to go an entire day without talking.
The garden party ended so badly between the two of them that they needed to clear the air.
He was rude. But l still like him.
He is not well in control of his emotions and was very rude and offensive to Charlotte in the last Episode. The words he says to her in E6 are inexcusable. If he was not sure in himself that he can make Charlotte happy he can still be firm but in a civilised manner. Not treating her as a servant after making advances to her. None of the 2 men proved worthy of Charlotte so far. I guess in S3 there will be a 3rd man for her.
@@dea6001 Yes, I agree. Alexander Colbourne did indeed appear to be rude to Charlotte, and therefore she had good reason to be offended by his words and his manner-but let's put everything that is being said between them, as well as their actions, into context. Mr. Colbourne is in an unusually awkward position. As Colbourne rightly told Charlotte, he is the "master of the estate" and he was her employer. What complicated that situation is Colbourne has clearly fallen in love with Charlotte, and Charlotte is in love with Colbourne. However, as her employer, no matter what he said or did, he knew there was no way that he could ever even out the power imbalance between them if she remained his subordinate.
Colbourne is a man of such high integrity that he struggled with and finally chose to do what he knew was the ethical thing to do. He forced her out of the unethical position that she was in by dismisses her as his governess. Even when Charlotte admitted that she was a willing participant in their romantic relationship, he didn't release himself from what he knows is an ethical code of conduct. Given that Alexander and Charlotte are in love with each other, if Charlotte had remained his employee, he would have had no way of knowing if the reason why she submitted to his desire for her was because he is the person with the power to move their relationship in whichever direction he wants it to go.
Interestingly, now that Charlotte and Alexander's paths have crossed and she is no longer his subordinate, their romantic relationship can resume and move forward in whatever direction they want it to go. Season 3 promises to be quite interesting.
