    As a PT, please please PLEASE go to a physical therapist before ever visiting a chiropractor. Not only are PTs trained to manipulate and mobilize bones and joints, we do it safely, we know the research behind what we are doing, and we can also identify medical red flags for when we should NOT do it and then can refer you back to your Physician to get the proper treatment you need

    As a patient who has been to doctors, good chiropractors and bad chiropractors I can say that doctors gave never healed my back problems. All they do is prescribed drugs (which do nothing for the problem and and simply mask the pain) and suggest physical therapy and wants to do surgery (fusing, nerve burning and metal devices). Bad chiropractors just cracked and pop joints and vertebrae but never fix the problem. Good chiropractors will render immediate relief and fix the problem with multiple adjustments. Bad ones want your money, good ones want you to get better.

    The only time I went to a chiro was when I was desperate to crack my upper back and neck. Like it NEEDS to be cracked. He was a good chiro because he didn't ask where I need to be cracked but he figured out those two exact points. He even asked if I constantly get hyperacidity and I was so shocked coz I DO get hyperacidity to the point of getting hospitalized for it. He said after that session I probably wouldn't get it again unless I developed an actual disease or I misaligned my back the same way.
    I came in with two problem points and he fixed three. Bless his soul. RIP doc.😭
    Chiro can definitely help you but you NEED to have an actual problem AND have a good chiropractor. Don't let just anyone crack your spine even if they have a license.

    It's important for people to understand that chiropractors do not need a medical doctorate and are not medical doctors in any capacity. There are so many cases of patients of chiropractors getting seriously injured or dying strictly because of the "care" they recieved.
    EDIT: A chiropractor is a doctor in the same way someone can become a doctor in any college field. The entire course is 8 years. 3 years of schooling followed by 3-4 years of training.
    An MD requires 4 years of undergraduate, 4 years of medical schooling, followed by 3-7 years of residency training before receiving their doctorate.
    Anyone that makes this claim that a chiropractor is a doctor and so is credible in the same way as an MD is making a false equivalency.

  • @redhairedviking2657
    @redhairedviking2657 Год назад

    I worked with TMJ a lot and it's way better to use your thumbs against your upper and lower teeth and stretch. You have these receptors that monitor the stretch of the muscle. If you hold a stretch for 10-15 seconds you should feel the muscle relaxer and allow you to stretch more. You can stretch diagonal. You can even get fancy and try to bite down for 10 seconds, relax and go into a stretch. The contraction of the muscle gets more fatigued and you can get a better stretch. Those little articular discs can get caught as well.
