Hi there! Yall are so amazing! As I plan my Machu Picchu trip (post Covid), do you know if you were able to (or if you tried) to enter the site earlier than what your ticket time said to enter? For example, my ticket to enter says from 1400-1500…. Im wondering if you think they May let me in early (weekday - low season) in thr AM like when they first open? Or would i have to wait until that Time?

Hi, really not sure, ours was the earliest entry of the day, so it wasn’t possible to enter earlier than that. Otherwise, I’d probably reach out to Machu Picchu administration and ask

How safe did it feel 00.30am-midnight and early morning 3am in the street if you wanna go solo as a female to Machu Picchu?? And how did it feel to use the phonein there any pickpocket danger ?
Well, I Cusco I wouldn’t recommend walking alone at night, but Aguas Calientes next to Machu Picchu felt completely safe! Didn’t feel in any pickpocket danger at any point in Peru, but I bought a good crossbody bag before the trip with a lot of internal pockets, just to be on a safe side 😊
What was the protest for??
Due to increased fuel and fertiliser prices, farmers and workers were not making profits anymore, they were pushing the government to do something about the prices and help them somehow
