You're doing an amazing job! When you eventually escape that flat I hope you can hide a note somewhere for the next tenant to tell them what you had to do and what might be recurring issues ❤
I just found your channel today and have to say this: if you can accomplish this with the crap pile that is this flat... imagine what absolute gorgeousness you'll accomplish in your future homes. I might sound like an old woman now but you'll probably look back on this time in your life and be really grateful for the experience and the way you handled it. Your landlord is an ass and you'll never be grateful to him of course, but you're doing things here that most people wouldn't dare. Renovating can be scary but you're doing it all. Plus you're recording it and making lemonade out of lemons - looks like you're getting a big following FAST not only because the project itself is interesting and pleasing to follow but also because you're very entertaining and relatable. This could be the start of something really cool for you! Well done!!
You are delightful! I hope your RUclips videos go viral and you can leave this flat. In the meantime, you are making the absolute most of a crummy situation and your positive attitude through all of this is like a breath of fresh air.
Fantastic work girrrrl! To preserve that new surface, I have used cheap bamboo chopping boards either side of my stove top to put pans down on and another nice looking chopping board where I make tea so the daily hot cups and spillage doesn’t make marks. I don’t like glass counter top savers cos eeerch glass
Omg I just watched your other video where you cleaned your laundry machine and I'm so glad for you that you now have a clean machine since it's IN THE KITCHEN wow!
I am in a similar situation and quite frankly you are an inspiration and a little power house! I hope Karma repays you 10 fold for all your hardwork! You deserve the best of outcomes!
I've just smashed through all your videos and am in absolute awe of you. As someone who purchased a run down manky old house, me and my partner did all up together but I could not have done it alone! I love that you are making the most of a shitty situation ❤ you're amazing
I’m watching from 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦 with NUFF RESPECT for you, Sis!!! Came across a short of yours on my RUclips feed, watched and got hooked immediately! #NewSubbie 👏🏾💕👏🏾 May KARMA find your wicked landlord, and CHARGE them with exponential interest! 🗣️💯 You ARE: transparent, tenacious, beautiful, hard working, a self starter, courageous, thoughtful, an obvious Empath, and an all round HERO at this point! I am sorry you have had such a HORRID, experience with your landlord. Sending you prayers 🙏🏽💕 from across the waters!
I know you are keeping ALL of those receipts and this marvelous footage for a) a legal battle to get reimbursement or compensation from the landlord and/or b) documentation for the next renter. See, if you are required contractually to put the apartment back in its previous state, this may be a looong lever for you in court (get renter’s insurance when you can afford it if you don’t yet have it)
I am incredibly proud of you! I know I don’t you, but, girl power all right!! You did an AMAZING job🤗you should be very proud of yourself too, and I’m sure you are! Ps: I really don’t like your landlord, to put it mildly, if only only I could just…talk to him😂
Could you build a box around the pipes on your counter to disguise them? Or put a crate in front to store a cookbook, candle, or cutting board storage.
you're doing such an amazing job!! i started following your journey last week and immediately caught up and have been steadily watching the new videos you post. my heart is with you, i hope this landlord gets tenfold. idk if you'll see this since you're popping off, but i did want to suggest turning off the end slate where it suggests another video! it's usually a good thing, but since your videos are all vertical and you show things and speak about them until the very end, it can make it hard to see everything you're talking about!
Well done you have pulled off an amazing job so far. All credit to you. If you want to tidy up the floor rather than replace it (understandable as to why not) I would suggest you use wood hardener first to stabilise what is already done. Then use car body filler to fill in the gaps and any hollows as that can be sanded to give a decent enough surface to put the vinyl onto. Whatever you decide to do - Good Luck!!!
Could you perhaps take up the current Lino floor covering and spray the floor underneath with mold cleaner then let the floor air/ dry out, then put floor covering back down and silicon? Maybe also scrub back of floor covering? Sounds like a lot of work though.
I e just used polycel damp seal paint it's brilliant. Goes along way as you only put a thin coat. It's totally stain and mold blocked my wall. I was able to paint over it with my wall colour. It's been six weeks no bleed through no bubbling no lifting🎉 think it would work great for your window frames
The more things change the more things stay the same. Land lords have always been cruel tyrants at best, poor folks have always been picking up after them or suffered due to general... incompetence let's say. You did a lot of hard work on this flat Bea!
Tips from me: Buy a ceramic hob scraper And you need to ventilate properly. I'm German, we're fresh air fanatics 😂 Your windows are wet on the inside, take a good microfiber cleaning cloth and wipe them dry. ALWAYS. Every day. Then air them out. When the window is no longer steamed up, close the windows again. You should do this AT LEAST 3 times a day. That should help against mold. Unless there is a problem in the masonry such as water penetrating through a crack in the facade or a leaking pipe in the wall. Btw always report mold to the landlord.
This takes me back. Two of the flats I lived when I shared in London had sinks that didn't drain because they weren't installed properly. One had water pooling in the silicon caked around it and the other didn't have a drain installed on the draining board (the land lord just sealed that up). so water just accumulated there. Landlords really don't give a damn. Their thought process is, "Is the rent being paid?" - Yes. Then there are no problems. Oh one other story. We had a bathroom sink which had taps that didn't work. I complained to the landlord and then the landlords friend (happens a lot in London, there is a mole within the house or flat), who lived there too confronted me advising she could show me how to get water out of the taps. I told her, "You turn the taps and no water comes out. I don' t have 15 minutes every morning to coax water out of them." A few weeks later the landlords friend lost patience with the taps and suddenly they were replaced. Imagine that.
I grew up very poor so we were taught that if you want to to own something you have to maintain it we learn how to really make things a million dollars the way that you're doing things and it did a really good job at the end of the day with us I'm doing really good
Pretty twisted that your countertops are damaged to that degree but you can't replace them without getting in trouble by the person who's supposed to replace them >>
You’ve done a greater job but I’m not sure that it costs much different to pay for the wrap than the new work top. We got oak effect ones from ikea that were only £40
I would say damp and mold, I bet it's due to no ventilation. I am shock as this is illegal in my country which used to be lagging behind western countries. Just look for some chimney with vent grill. And some option to open window. Another is to put insulation beneath vinyl floor. But this deped on building type. And I think you have in England this weird spaces between floor for legar venting. You should have at last one vent grill somewhere in kitchen as you have gas stove. This is illegal to have none. Another should be in you shower and toilet area. CO2 sensor with trending would be nice as would be telling you a lot if air exchange is sufficient. Let me know if you spot some of this.
It was good for the look, but isn't vinyl wrap is burning easily,🤔❓❓❓ I even reconsider to use wood (the upper side) counter top, because wood can be burn
The transformation over time is great. Only question is, what will you do if landlord refuses to reimburse you any money? Sadly he or she would have good grounds to refuse as they’ll say you didn’t seek permission for the changes (ie new tap, covering worktop). Unfair as it is, even the fact that the bamboo countertop was rotten/damaged isn’t sufficient grounds to say you HAD to do the DIY to cover it up, because these leases/contracts usually say make no changes without permission, even if the changes are for the better 😔 Worst case scenario, when you end the lease they’ll make you undo the work or even penalise you monetarily for having done the DIY…. My prediction is by the end of your lease, landlord will STILL not have fixed the mould issue, yet will try and penalise you for all your DIY because it was technically unauthorised. 😢
True but the landlord would want to be a right c.unt if they did that seeing as the flat looks a million times better and she's treated a serious mould problem as much as she possibly can while providing a new modern clean look in the flat. If the landlords a tight arse which it seems likely, they would be happy she did that when she moves out because they will probably think 🤔 il slap on an extra few quid to the rent for the new tenants and probably take credit for doing up the flat 😂😂
You're doing an amazing job! When you eventually escape that flat I hope you can hide a note somewhere for the next tenant to tell them what you had to do and what might be recurring issues ❤
And the RUclips channel name. So they can see the before and after
"I'm not a professional."
At this point you are. 😎

The way you sang “girl power” is stuck in my head for a very long time and I keep telling it to myself whenever I achieve something 😂
Just great! The way youve kept pushing through and learning new skills. Youre inspiring people.
Omg I just watched your other video where you cleaned your laundry machine and I'm so glad for you that you now have a clean machine since it's IN THE KITCHEN wow!

I can’t wait until the moment you get to sit back, look around and admire all of your hard work.

The most genuine "you're doing amazing, sweetie" I've ever given a stranger on the internet, wowie!! ❤
It's amazing how you're so good at this while you're not even a professional
I’ve watched all your videos, and I look forward to every new one. I also eliminated mold in a house, and of course it was a debacle. 😅
Looks like a brand new kitchen
It looks so much bigger with the white marble!! 🤩
Hate your situation, but love your content.. always happy to see a new video from you!! ❤ xx
your videos make me feel so much better abt getting to deep clean MY nasty apartment
I think you've missed your true calling - you do such amazing work you could surely do this as a job!
Love these videos! I enjoy them so much that I wish they were longer!
You’re doing awesome!! I actually want some “tutorial” videos on how to clean the way you do!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I know you are keeping ALL of those receipts and this marvelous footage for a) a legal battle to get reimbursement or compensation from the landlord and/or b) documentation for the next renter.

Wow, you got served lemons and the lemonade you are making is ICE COLD baby! 🧊 Cold like the dish of revenge I hope you serve to your landlord.
I am incredibly proud of you! I know I don’t you, but, girl power all right!! You did an AMAZING job🤗you should be very proud of yourself too, and I’m sure you are!

Bea, I love to hear your voiceovers. You’re the cutest!
Damn that's ok me hell of a transformation! I've lived in so many bad flats, though not quite as mouldy, and girl you're doing an incredible job!

Looks so good! New flooring would be good, too because the old one dont fit the new kitchen
This looks amazing.
Just so satisfying watching you transform your flat. You're so talented for such a young girl. Very impressive.. Greetings from California, USA 🇺🇸
You're doing a fabulous job
Looks amazing!!!

Wow! You have done so much to improve that apartment
You’re doing an AMAZING job!!!😍
Looks stunning
You have magical skills girl!
Love it❤❤❤
The more things change the more things stay the same. Land lords have always been cruel tyrants at best, poor folks have always been picking up after them or suffered due to general... incompetence let's say.
You did a lot of hard work on this flat Bea!
A new counter top isn't too expensive Bea. Some are really surprised that those standard ones are about 100-150.
Well that turned out amazing!
Love the h3 podcast 😂 the girl has the taste!
You are blowing my mind! I thought I was pretty creative as a renter restorer! Could you possibly come to the Seattle area and finish my projects?!😉😄
Tips from me:
Buy a ceramic hob scraper

What a fab job x
beautiful work
I'm going to relax a lot more when those mouldy floors get dealt with. Are the other flats in your building also infested with mould?
That is absolutely gorgeous!❤
Can I hire you once I move out of student housing?😂
I grew up very poor so we were taught that if you want to to own something you have to maintain it we learn how to really make things a million dollars the way that you're doing things and it did a really good job at the end of the day with us I'm doing really good
Amazing!!
Looking good 💯
Bea it's so pretty 😍
Gorgeous!!
Amazing!!!! And I love how you talk so fast and overlap. My ADHD brain is absolutely a fan. Haha
Can you do a tutorial on how to do the contact paper around the sink?? I’ve done it so many times and the sinks are IMPOSSIBLE for me 😭
What an amazing job! Sucks you are in this predicament but you are literally making lemonade out of VERY SOUR LEMONS!!! WELL DONE!!!
Does ur kitchen window open? If so, open it when cooking to let moisture out else u will get mold growing.
Pretty twisted that your countertops are damaged to that degree but you can't replace them without getting in trouble by the person who's supposed to replace them >>
Great job
I want to be Bea when I grow up.
So do I. And I'm 48. 😂
Your doing great. Any chance coming to america and doing my apartment lol😂
Must say I liked the wooden look better. But you are doing a super job anyway.
What did you use to treat the mould?? Please and thanks
You deserve to inherit the flat.
Hey! Maybe if we all email the powers that be ??? This sweet girl needs some help. Idk how to get the wheels turning....
You’ve done a greater job but I’m not sure that it costs much different to pay for the wrap than the new work top. We got oak effect ones from ikea that were only £40

I used that same paper on my bathroom counter ppl come in and really think it's marble 😂

Damn after everything you've done in this flat at this point your landlord must owe you money 😂
❤❤❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This landlord should be in jail though fr
i have a spare tile but need to check dimensions :D will you be interested in it? :D
Your landlord owes you months of free rent.
The transformation over time is great.
