The mistake they didn't account for with Jordyn coming into London was letting her believe her connections on beam would even come close to being credited by the international judges. The front walk over into full twisting back tuck into back handspring had no chance.
Agreed. The judges did a real disservice to Jordyn by being so lenient here, as well as at Nationals and Trials. I really think a better routine construction could have been possible with her repertoire of skills. I wonder how many other coaches looked at John Geddert at camp when Jordyn debuted this and thought he was being a bit foolish.
Oh I'm certain many looked at Geddert a little funky after that... I agree the judges should take a lot of the blame though. Geddert was a little too ambitious. They should have just switched up her routine. USA judging is very inflated on balance beam.
by far her best beam routine since she upgraded. i'm still heartbroken that she get the chance to compete in the London AA, but she's still one of my favorite gymnasts :)
I almost cried when she was crying in the Olympics, she deserved to be in the all around, I seriously hate the rule that only 2 per country can compete...
I 10000000% agree. Jordyn wasn’t that great to begin with. And yes no one would cafe about the 2pc rule if Jordyn wasn’t knocked out of the all around.
@@pme8370 She arguably would've won the bronze medal if she repeated her qual or team finals performance in the AA (considering Aly and Aliya both made big mistakes), so I don't think it's fair to say that she 'wasn't great'.
Oh, lots of interesting and original connections. And it looks like her form improved a little. I had to mute the video from the beginning, as soon as I heard Al's voice. Good lord, those three making watching gymnastics feel like a cringe-worthy chore.
I highly doubt she will be back, she might stick around for a few world champion ships but there's just too many up and coming girls who are ready and willing to make the US team and go to Rio de Janeiro

***** YES! Same with Aly. I can already see how Rio will go down for her :(
Cody S. I would day it went very well
I agree with this, even though she does it SUPER well. She should have been in beam finals!

That was a powerful beam routine sure going to miss seeing her perform I hope she becomes a proffencial coach one day!
She is amazing. I got to meet in her St. Louis and see her perform live. She is so down to Earth and is an absolutely talented individual.
I miss her old beam routine

Lourdes Ramos well the usa is dominant so the 2 per country makes sense
She didn’t deserve it. She didn’t do as great that day as aly or gabby. She was overhyped in the U.S but she was pretty average

Got it earn a ticket into the Olympic AA. She didn't that day, so too bad. Yes, it was sad for her, but Gabby and Aly earned theirs!
Wow! 15.700! Go Jordyn!
Female gymnasts are the best athletes kn the world
the aerial landing on one foot into the side somi is such a good combo idea... wish someone else would do it today

Yea but she'll have some competition if Katelyn and Simone are healthy
Kaylee Wesley lol Simone would destroy her
@TIF12799 she was in the Olympics
It sucks that she didn't make the all around final in london:( maybe she will come back in rio and win it there:)
”this upgrade in this routine is working just fine for jordyn”..if you think that you're on crack good bye
Aww...I dont want her to retire..shes to good to stop gymnastics!! I mean im not pushing her to do what she doesnt feel like doing anymore
her coach said she is too old and she has to retire :( I couldn't belive that...
I highly doubt she will be back, she might stick around for a few world champion ships but there's just too many up and coming girls who are ready and willing to make the US team and go to Rio de Janeiro
