I love that they are all 7ths . That’s why it sounds so beautiful
Yes!
That’s not why. 7ths are just another type of chord, they don’t exist alone. The most important thing for any chord progression is voicing and how you choose to phrase it.
@@klevens5496 it’s the way you arrange the notes in a chord! I highly encourage you to watch in depth videos about it because it’s a huge topic!
How do I get like that ?! I been practicing and practicing when is something going to stick 🤦🏾♂️
Absolutely beautifully played I just love your timing. And that piano sounds lovely.
Thank you very much!
I’m gonna try and arrange something like this on the guitar that was gorgeous. Loved that tritone sub with the chromatic bass walking from B, Bb to A. Then ofcourse that 2-5-1 at the end 😮💨🔥
Yes, I believe it will sound wonderful on a guitar.
You're a quick learner, that's for sure!
I just love the process !
Definitely going to use this for a song, thanks🙏 .
Enjoy!
I loved any song that used a progression like this back in the day 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
👌🔥🔥🔥
To this day!
Danggg this is so colourful 👏👏
Thanks! I love the beautiful complex harmonies!
this is so beautiful
Thank you!
Lovely!
Thank you!

Very nice 👍🏾🤤🤤
Thank you 😋
🎉
uhh i like it!
Thanks!
👍🏾 right on. I thought it was Anita Baker at first
I transcribed a few Anita Baker songs!
So amazing !, can i use this chord in my song ple?
yes!
Is there any principle you are following when doing those beautiful transition chords?
Yes! Those are: chromatic approximations (parallel chromatic motion) and tritonic substitutions (for the dominant seventh chords)
Is there a link for the new pack yet? I thought you would have made a video about it by now, because I thought you said by Sunday? Please let me know.
Yes! here is the link for the video, download link in the description! Sorry for the delay , I had some technical difficulties:

Whats that notation for the first chord? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that symbol next to the A natural before. I don’t quite understand the next chord either as far as Alt
triangle means major triad or major seventh chord.Alt stands for a dominant seventh altered chord 1, 3, b7 , (b5, b9, #9, b13)
What is your keyboard? Its so sick
This is a Yamaha upright acoustic piano. I am also using the ChordieApp to display the notes.

there's more on my YT channel, instagram and tiktok
Whew
Beautiful, Whats the app used to visualize the chords ?
the ChordieApp
sounds like "Speak to my heart" by Donnie McClurkin
Stylistically very close!
beautiful like jada pinkett on different world
I’m hearing a song in my head that uses these chords but I can’t figure it out, great video nonetheless !!!
Thank you, that's interesting, let me know if you will figure it out!
i think its a drake song lol
What does the triangle indicate?
Maj7
Yakuza game background music vibes
That's good!
Hie can you teach me how to move from chord to chord, i am struggling with that
I may be able to teach you, but it's important to understand that playing the piano requires more than just hand coordination on the keyboard. It also involves extensive ear training and a solid understanding of music theory, even for the chord progression demonstrated in this video. If you are willing to invest in private lessons, then the answer is likely yes.
Also how do i get this cool piano sound you have going on
Well, it was a real acoustic Yamaha upright piano!
@@MusicianParadise when I Finnish my song do you want me to send it to you?
@@Goffs20 yes please! you can send it to musicianparadisehq( )gmail.com
what does A 🔺
A 🔺 = AMaj7 in this case, it also might mean AMaj with no seventh in some cases!
thank you so much. i know very little about music theory
@@Neimm just play the music! The theory will come later on
Do you know if theres an actual name for this progression? This is by far my favorite chord progression and I still dont know how to find it non coincidentally
This is basically a standard minor VImaj7 - V7#9b13 - im7 chord progression with some variations and tritonic subs added
Can i use this chords for my song?
Yes, please!
Damn wish i could do this on fl studio i have no knowledge of piano i just try to work my way through on my daw
You can do it in FL studio using Free VST Ripchord and my free Ripchord Chord Presets download link in the description of this video: ruclips.net/video/m-dzB9dF3u4/видео.html

@@jigggymel You should consider using Ripchord because it offers a lot when it comes to chord progressions, and it's free!
@@MusicianParadise I will thank you
thanks so much!
@@MusicianParadise
What key would this chord sequence be in?
C# minor or A major. The key here is ambiguity - this is exactly what makes this chord progression interesting.
@@MusicianParadise thank you so much, I have a coda I have to write for my gcse composition (teacher is making me write one 😭😭) and I needed a chord progression for it. Just wanted the key so I could transpose it effectively 🤩
@@XP1.spectrum.XP1 Try to enjoy the assignment 😅
What’s the first note I’m not familiar with that symbol

Wow, almost exact chords!
Sounds like Debarge
Yes!
Dominant #5 chords are the best thing ever 💦💦💦
Yes, and sometimes they are dominant b13🤣
10k hours
What key is this in exactly?
I would say it's in C# minor, although there's some tonal ambiguity may be A major?
Uh i found it was C Major. Unless it’s because im a keyboard player not grand piano player Prehaps?
@@TridentTrist perhaps your piano is tuned differently? It just a 1/2 tone difference!
@@MusicianParadise possibly ive been having issues with learning some other songs maybe its that the standard piano has different tuning thanine
@@TridentTrist You can install some free tuning app on your phone and check if your piano is in standard A=440 tuning!
what does alt mean?
"Alt" means dominant seventh altered chord - all the chord extensions are altered. without "Alt " the chord symbol will look like this G#7 b9;#9;#11; b13. It is not obligatory to play all the extensions though. I'm actually playing G#7#9; b13. But I think about this chord as a chord derived from the Altered Scale (aka Super Locrian mode) the seventh mode of the melodic minor scale, so I might use b9 and (or)#11 as well on this type of chords
@@MusicianParadise very helpful, thanks!
@@MusicianParadise is what youre doing relative to another progression? meaning if the progression is CFDG..do u then "alter it" to 1(alt) 4(alt) 2(alt) 5(alt) ? are there guidelines? what youre doing looks n sounds like magic🤯
@@lighterwaves5659 Altered" stands for the dominant seventh altered chord. In your example, I assume your chord progression is diatonic, so it's CMaj7 // FMaj7 // Dm7 // G7. The only dominant chord here is G7, so we can choose to make this chord G7alt and resolve it back to C. By doing that, we will end up using non-diatonic notes (the black keys), but it will sound rather nice. Try this: for G7alt, play the following notes from G up: G, B, Eb, F, A#, and resolve it to C, B, D, E, G. (from C up).Stay tuned for more tutorials ;)
@@MusicianParadise i appreciate your response. but maybe im asking incorrectly ...the bass note "movement" in the above vid isnt within the diatonic scale of A maj. how are you deciding which bass note to substitute? did the original progression contain multiple Dom7s or multiple 2-5s that you are altering? if you dnt have time to explain please let me know terms/links/ppl that i should research. amazing progression
Can you make a tutorial on how to write chord progression like this
Yes, I'm planning to make some content about chord progressions, I'll use this one as an example! Thanks for watching!
@@MusicianParadise Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🏻
Uh embarrasing to say but this is kinda hard to learn with view of all the notes could you possibly do the falling notes tutorial? Again im embarrassed to ask that but its be amazing
There's nothing embarrassing about learning! What is falling notes ? I'm not familiar with this concept. Probably slowly arpeggiated?
@@MusicianParadise the kinds of videos Sheet Music Boss. A simple formatted thing where the notes you need to press fall onto the keys. Idk how to explain it
@@TridentTrist Thanks for explaining that! I'm thinking about making easier to follow tutorials and the falling notes on Sheet Music Boss channel looking great, I'll see that I can do!
@@MusicianParadise tysm man
