I get alot of positive comments on my s3 8l, on a 51plate, 80k on clock and always serviced af Stafford audi main dealer, I paid 6 times the price you paid for yours mind you lol, but then it is in show condition outside, inside and underneath has no rust or signs of any coming on any panels or any under body components, i was lucky to find one garaged all its life and never used in the winter months, I have 4 little stone chips on the bonnet/bumper and no dinks or dents, no wear at all inside,not even on the buttons on the dash and the pixels all perfect on the dash, shame I cant upload some pics for you to see, the folder of receipts is large enough to need it's own drawer in the house, mines in very shiny red which looks fabulous
check the timing belt wheel which is on the crankshaft fixed with a screw. mine was worn out and it sliped a few mm from right to left, which made it seem like the timing of the engine was of around 1-2 teeth from the timing chain. very annoying and very hard to detect.

Nice bargain could just be the starter motor and have a flat battery I would go through the engine first change the oil check water all the belts battery plugs check cylinder compression change the coil packs change the thermostat check all pipes for cracks and leaks charge battery if it's dead turn ignition on plug in a scan tool check for fault codes :)

I did this I'm no way near mechanically minded I bought a vw golf mk4 20v T for £ 80 had numerous things wrong with it so iv just ripped to bits and upgraded everything so easy to work on be on the road soon with double the HP stripped out semi slicks spent 1300 ish on it so far including buying the car and most of it is new
Should the headlamp washers be sitting flush with the body? The driver's side one looks worse than the other one. no it is not, just like working at a normal garage but we got all the special tools, software and access to the information. I run a transport business and its tough! which is why videos are not as regular as i would like. But i'm trying :)
if the car seats for over a year most likely the ac wouldnt work, as a car dealer some car which hasnt been started in 25 days lost its ac where I had the car for six month with ac working
Mines show condition and I paid 6k for mine but it is literally show condition, been garaged all its life and been serviced by audi since new with 18 invoices to back it all up, it's just hit 81k on the clock and has wanted for nothing its whole life
@@corriec4978 100% mate, already hard to find decent untouched examples, it took me 8 months and 14 viewings before finding my mint example, the 3k cars are sheds that need money putting into them, good s3 will be 4k and original show cars are 5-7k, they are already rising in value and now most are turning 20+ year old so becoming more classic each year, it's the original s3 too there was no tuned a3 before this model, you will always get someone wanting to pay nothing for a car and value everything at zero, but theres lots of people who appreciate that these sort of cars are only going up and will invest in them for good money, I've had mine 2 years and it's not once let me down, now if I had bought one for 2k and not 6k I bet I would of spent a fortune putting the car right

In addition, many stuffs are very different like brakes, suspensions, interior, etc., and take into account that it is the very first S3, the only real one that made the history (8P S3 and 8P S3 S line are near exterior identical...), so it will have a huge revaluation during next years. I did this statement for the M3 E46 just 4/5 years ago but people laughed a lot, albeit they cost more than 35k Euro nowadays...

Yep, the 210 is the AMK engines which is the pre facelift. This is the BAM engine. Which is 225.
