    I don’t care if it takes an hour or two to back into a spot. It’s a win as long as you don’t hit anything or no one dies. Keep it up

    I want to thank you I got my CDL in late 2018. Your no BS approach really helped build my skill set. And a big shout out to the recruiter that rejected me in 2019 because I had been off parole for 9 years and 8 months she said it had to be 10 years even though my conviction was from 2001. Anyways I wanted to drive for prime so bad I tried to reapply 2 months later. Best rejection ever that week I got a tanker driving job. 2-3K a week and over the road only 2-3 times a week home on the weekends mostly.

      @mrpiraterias i'm from canada but what's the matter of payrole. Everybody works here on payrole, deduct tax from there gross income. And in last u say u made 2-3k/week as a driver or o/o. And after rejection, how u got tanker job ? Can u make it clear bro 🙏🙏

    When perpendicular with the spot you want to back into, pull forward so your shoulder is lined up with the middle of the next spot beside it, cut the tractor 90 degrees away from that spot, then when you hit 90 cut to the left (if first cut was right, or v.v.) When the tractor is at 90 you will be perfectly lined up to your spot. Essentially creating a Z pattern with a straight middle line, so lets say you pull up with the spot on your left, pull past to the middle of the next spot, Stop, 90 right, stop, 90 left, stop. Now you can make your cut to reverse into the spot and get the truck straightened out.

    Parking really just comes in time. I work as a yard jockey at a trainyard. Probably park about 20-30 containers daily. When my instructor was teaching me, it was very frustrating because he was explaining it but it just wasn't clicking- no fault of his own. I would be fighting my way into the spot by oversteering and then having to readjust every single time. Now only a short time later, about a month, most parks I get in one shot and some I just have to do a quick pull up to get under it. I'll have truckers sitting there watching or waiting on me(especially in the beginning) to park and you can definitly feel the pressure but I'd just keep cool and go slow.

    My trainer use to tell me hard right hard left nothing else 😆. I learned a lot by myself than him teaching me. I feel like you need to let the guy make some mistakes junior. He looks like he got most of the ideas already but sometimes give him a brake it’s overwhelming because he has to learn so many stuff in a short amount of time.

    I don't how these guys get cdl A, when they don't know the basic skills of backing. I know it's hard to do back, but when u gave test then how examiner pass these guys, if they don't know the basic skills of back on driver side. If it's opposite back then i believe it's hard for the trainee. But driving side back is not so hard, when u pass a cdl A or may be this guy got the licence, keep it in the pocket but don't start driving right way

    • @EAMFilms
      @EAMFilms 2 года назад

      Yeah the whole system is jacked up they're basically handing out cdl's these days. I took my state test not long ago and when it came to my backing, I didn't have to set up the back. All I had to do was get the thing in the cones. The set up is everything and when the set up is crap, the back isn't going to be fun. A month of training just is not enough
