i used to love the sobek so much and kinda forgot about it i have been praying it would come as a lich weapon in the future but it just keeps fading into the back.
Been lookin into kuva weapon possibilities some time ago, would really love Kuva Kulstar and Kuva Sobek, or even incarnon forms of these (although it might take sometime for they adding another week, w/ all the new content incoming next tear)
sadly it's unlikely they will be introducing more kuva and tennet weapons. DE has a bad history of leaving evergreen systems like that out to dry

I try, they're definitely janky and complicated, so most people don't even bother or in the worst cases they guess and get things wrong about the mechanics entirely, so I want to avoid that for people to be as helpful as possible

Sobek + saryn slaps Bc Toxix lash retriggers acid shells
saryn is probably the first pick most people think of for sobek so i know im not exactly blowing any minds, but toxic lash functions similarly to xata's, and can be used alongside roar or xata's, as well as the toxic lash DoT's from acid shells explosions causing more acid shells explosions allowing otherwise failed chain reactions to kick off again a second later. I kinda prefer saryn with something like muzzle flash shooting gallery or combat discipline nourish so i can at least get a bit of CC, and also use something i don't have to aim with as much so i can just jump around like an idiot more, but the damage and clear speed is pretty silly even for an acid shells synergy (and yeah can still work without a second damage ability, just the chain reactions don't usually go as far and you have to be a bit more active).
in retrospect i guess xata actually is a decent form of passive CC since it redirects shots back to the enemy when they have the bubble on them

I really like Sobek on Nova. Have to run pillage for strip and then m prime helps acid shells. I'd really like to try xata or roar, maybe with a vicious bond helios to strip? Idk if it'd be wide spread enough for chain reactions though.
haha that sounds like the kind of setup that might require an additional frame or using unairu for armor strip, however you could totally get away with doing that specifically against the infested if you're hard commited to your focus school. I don't know if a companion would be able to strip an entire room's armor consistently enough for to keep up with the sobek 😅
Hmm.... that has potential, but maybe I'd personally use it on Hildryn with Xata as I could just push that power strength to some mad levels and just full strip with one cast and get all my shields back with it at the same time.
@@InnocentiusLacrimosa I recommend hydroid with his new rework. His ability to get gigantic elemental bonus and strip armor with his rework makes this setup wayyyyy strong, to the point where I'd actually change the sobek build to not have any elemental at all and full dive into crit for making enemy kills easier (the crits wouldn't scale the acid shells, but would make starting the chain reaction easier.) Hydroid can get like 2000% corrosive bonus and just hold onto that forever with his rework, my build has ~500% present in mods. Effectively, hydroid would be to my setup as chroma is to serration. Slap xata on his 2 and bam, he can honestly do what my xaku does but better, especially with nautilus+manifold being able to group enemies constantly
Quick question I have a sobek riven with 200% damage and 1.5 x damage to grineer and Corpus should I forgo primed point blank and corruption mod or should I still apply them on the build and just dubble dip
You can absolutely forgo that point blank, since you'll be getting diminishing returns on it compared to other mods like your elemental (which is important for the xata's whisper detonation damage.) Your faction bonus is one of the hardest in the game to scale, so it's a really good idea to keep them in the build and use your riv at the same time!
Got a question about the xata whisper thing on non crit incarnons, does it double dips on phenmor alongside deadhead or it is only felarx/laetum?
xata's will double dip on the bonus "Devouring attrition" on all weapons that have it as far as I am aware

don't use catalyzing shields, it's a dogshit mod and a waste of a slot. It's more expensive and does less for you than rolling guard, unfortunately my best recommendation is to use vazrin like a schizophrenic, or to bind your vazrin dash to a macro which the endurance community has been doing on mass in response to the SG nerf. This does mean you can swap your aura mod to whatever you like though, so that's something

I dont know if u talking about that but i want to know if is worth to play epitath or kompressa and why u choose kompressa
both are very strong weapons which are good for priming, the epitaph is able to prime lots of enemies at once in a large AoE with forced cold and blast procs, whilst the kompressa is arguably one of the fastest single target primers, (tied with the twin grakatas and hystrix,) with the added benefit of having a smaller AoE capable of priming clusters of enemies if they've been grouped. The kompressa is actually a pretty mediocre pick for this specific setup because of a bug with the magnetized status of void damage (and also mag bubble) where the projectiles will actually fly to a random direction and not to the center of the bubble. I use the kompressa because it is my favorite primer, it's like a compromise between the AoE of the epitaph and the speed of the hystrix/grakatas. With innate viral damage and the ability to double dip on secondary encumber as the bubble detonations can proc additional status effects, this weapon is (in my opinion) the champion of primers and even does a lot more damage than people are willing to give it credit. It's strange to me how unpopular the kompressa is, I use it in pretty much every video that isn't about using a secondary for DPS, it really is just that good at it's job. The epitaph in my opinion is used for all the wrong reasons by the community, the crit power of the epitaph charged shot is amazing and deserves a lot more respect, that charged shot can easily one-tap an acolyte given a good enough setup, and it packs more than enough punch to handle levelcap steel path enemies provided you manage to get enough statuses from your primaries to fully utilized galvanized shot.
Both are excellent weapons, but the for the role of a primer weapon, the kompressa wins every time, it's faster and can prime just as many enemies as the epitaph if given a grouping tool. It can cover a massive range of utility and has really good damage potential despite it's reputation

just swap the riven for the regular toxin mod, the riven itself is just a larger elemental bonus than the toxin mod alone. If you check out the calculator in the pinned comments, you can change the elemental bonus to see what effect your setup will have on the total damage and damage multiplier we have at play :) (the elemental bonus would be 1+0.9+0.9+0.9 as opposed to what's in the calc which is 1+1.65+1.65+1.157+1.283)

I’m really trying to make a chroma build that can solo steel path and bosses like profit taker. I’ve got gloom subsumed in place of his first ability and I use bubonico. Can you give me tips on what to build or do?
Define solo steel path. What missions specifically? Also, if you want a profit taker build, it shouldn’t be the same as a build you use in steel path. And if you do want a profit taker build, I’d recommend subsuming your vex armor away for eclipse because it’s stronger, ogris/zenith for your primary, nukor/tenet detron for secondary, and a contagion zaw for melee. Look up profit taker speed runs and check out their builds as well as how they play. That’s how I did profit taker. If you’re doing it for credits, stick to chroma, if not, stick to saryn for the easy faster way and volt for the sweatiest but energy pad heavy way.
Chroma really excels at giving a large direct damage bonus, to the point where other ones (even galvanized CO and deadhead arcanes) can actually be slotted for other bonuses instead. I recommend checking out this video by dystopia ruclips.net/video/glw5U_V8Lds/видео.html for an insane build that utilizes a unique double dip with chroma and glaives. Unfortunately the hema part of this build no longer works, but you can find other ways to lower your health lol.
for profit taker, there are lots of guides by people much more qualified for it than I am, the mechanics of PT usually involve specialized builds that aren't my exact cup of tea, I think the one I watched when I was learning them was the current WR speedrun here ruclips.net/video/x2MEG37ltbo/видео.html

It will make it easier for your sobek to kill enemies, but will scale the acid shells detonation less, a good tradeoff considering it should help you deal with acolytes more consistently 👍

Absolutely, for rivens I would recommend getting something along the lines of Element, Faction, MS, with a negative. Double element and faction is also a good setup, as you can see with mine I don't exactly have the strongest roll ever, but it still worked great for the run. If you're using a frame like hydroid or saryn (who can both give tons of elemental bonus with their abilities) then you don't exactly want elemental on your mods and can instead direct those efforts to crit, faction, and MS.

I do! though like I said the level geometry and hitboxes can be kinda iffy with it. Plus the cooldown makes it way more limited then using the weapon detonate, sometimes you can get your saxum to proc on a random enemy that was lifted ages ago, and it's really annoying when that happens. I'd love for DE to visit the saxum set and remove the cooldown, it's the weakest part of the system for sure.

You would want to use xata's whisper and plunder, nourish is not an extra hit but instead a regular elemental damage bonus. However hydroid's new ability to strip lots of armor and get lots of bonus elemental damage makes him a prime candidate for sobek+xata shenanigans

though tbh, you'll mostly be killing with the detonate anyways, the shard for the toxin dot is just good on saryn as a whole

@@abyss5469 the bulk of your survivability is going to come from the *sly* vulpaphyla and it's evasion buff stacking with xaku's 4th to reduce the frequency in which you take damage down to near 0. You will still get hit occasionally, which is what your new, low frequency shield gate will be used for, Since shield gate has been nerfed into utter oblivion, I'd recommend completely abandoning it as anything more than a glorified audio cue to start vazrin slinging. Once your shields have recharged, you can get back into gameplay, but the reason I am jumping and moving around so erratically sometimes in the video is because evasion buffs stack really well with movement, to make your downtime much lower. something you could do is experiment with the exilus slot of this build to fit in the mod agility drift, for an additional accuracy debuff to the enemies, as this also stacks with movement and xaku's 4th.

haha you can pause in solo, I actually did this run over the course of about 2 days because I got busy in the middle of it and had to sleep and stuff 😂 The longest I've ever run in one sitting was 6 hours, and that was during a 10 hour survival :P

Ehh, the shotgun would absolutely be able to kill the demolisher, but it would take much longer than dedicating your melee weapon as a big hit stick to get faster demo kills. The thing about disruption is the tile is too big for your armor strip to be used effectively, so for the most part as the xaku player you're basically filling the role of a trash clearer to make keys drop really quickly. Very useful in a squad scenario, but otherwise I'd say there are much better builds to use in disruption missions for demo hunting or solo play

Rhino's Roar, it is a helminthable ability that gives a large faction damage bonus (one of the few ways to get faction damage.) The reason we can't use it is due to a restriction that DE put in place to prevent players from using two "damage buffs" on the same frame (you can't slot eclipse into rhino without taking off roar, etc.) Since the build utilizes xata's whisper, and xata's whisper takes the same buff slot as roar, it can't be used in this setup. It's a really arbitrary restriction, things like breach surge are a form of damage multiplier, as are buffs like roar, but breach surge can be slotted in and roar can't, very silly.

As long as you have an extra hit and armor strip, you will be fine.

Unfortunate to showcase an old shieldgating build and and an old companion so close to the giga-patch release, wonder which changes would be needed.
Tbh your aura mod can be whatever and the only real change is to remove the decaying dragon key. Most of your survivability in this actually comes from xaku's 4th dodge and what is supposed to be the sly vulpaphyla's evasion.(lol forgor moment) You can probably see in the gameplay that I'm not really using Vazrin on anything that isn't AoE, even though movement drastically increases survivability I'm not really trying to move that hard, because i really don't need to with only half of that combo. That in combination with beach surge being a blind effect makes it so you really never get hit, and for when you do, vazrin exists. The Last layer of defense is actually the little styanax specter a summoned, the homie provides 50 shields per kill when his 3 is up, and its up about ⅔ of your gameplay loop. He's not necessary, which is why i don't mention him in the video, but with the new shield gate changes and this build, you can very easily get a full 2.5s shield gate with overshields thanks to this guy with no shield mods. Very swag.
I still despise the new SG though, massive L from DE when it comes to the endurance community again 🤦🏻♂

Yes and no, Not being able to use an additional vulnerability modifier, but gaining the triple bane dip and DoT seems like a fair trade, but the xata's whisper also has bonus damage against overguard, which often scales to give enemies more EHP than those 90% DR demolysts we usually kill. Not only that, but xaku's 4th stacks an additional vulnerability to void damage (100%) on everything it hits, so with xaku we are getting our damage *1.5*2*breach surge with this setup, which makes it not only more consistent but way more powerful specifically against infested/void enemies as the ancient healers can give overguard to ALL the enemies around them. Terrify is a perfectly fine combo to use with saryn though, especially if you find the modspace to slot in the augment, especially since it helps patch up her weak survivability (with the new shield gate)
With armor strip even a water pistol can one shot SP enemies...this is nothing new
