Just installed mine! Thank you for the video and the clear explanation; I really appreciate it! It’s good to know that somebody understands the struggle when owning a fx35😅 but you got my full support! Good job
I installed the same kind of screen on my fx45 2004 with navigation and rear camera. Because your video explains everything I just wanted to add some info for people trying to install this on version with navigation. 1. My version is from a company called "Peng GPS" Only the backpannel is a bit different(color). Cables are exactly the same. Everything is working on my car including AC and rear cam. 2. The instructions for fx45 and fx35 are the same. My instruction manual looks the same as the one in the video. 3. The A2 cable(balck/yellow) is indeed for the nav version. 4. The black plug at 9:42 was not needed to be plugged to make it work. 5. In addition to the steps in this video, for the nav version you need to remove the glovebox for access to an extra plug there. It's on a grey metal box. Box is on upper side. You have to remove some screws to free it. The provided instructions will show which plug. Without this step AC and rear cam won't work. 6. For the rear cam they provided connectors that were also plug and play. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the additional information. I had my glove box out at one point because the instructions were not very clear about exactly what connectors I would not need.

Did you use any components from the original stereo to get the A/C unit to work? Another thing I noticed from your video is that your truck had some lights on the cluster. How did you get rid of them?.... it looks awesome.
First I thank you for this video as there aren't any instructions for these radios. I tried to follow your video play by play but it seems I may have forgotten something my first Gen won't start after the install. I left a video on my channel to show what's happening there is a green light blinking on the dash that says (SET). Would you happen to have an idea what's going on and how I can fix it?
Thanks, made my install so much easier with this video. One issue is that signing in to google keeps crashing no matter what app you try to do it with. Have you had this problem and managed to find a way to sign in?
Thanks for the video. Waiting for the other! I have an heavily modified FX45 and looking to purchase this head unit. My fear is the winter cold, we sometimes see --20C to -40C here in Canada (-4F to -40F) and I'll be very upset if the unit break during winter. What is the warranty on this?
Where I live we might see 0F a few days a year, but my cars stays in a garage most of the time which is above freezing. As for the Warranty, it’s pretty unclear. I had one problem with one accessory module after installing and the seller replaced it for me, but I think getting the whole unit repaired or replaced would be difficult. I accepted this as a risk when Installed and I’m also keeping my factory system around for a least little while longer just in case.
Me too but don't have to deal with Canada temps. Mine is an 05I'm way down here in the Atl. Lowest we get on average is about 28F°. What mods do you have
i have an 2005 FX35- nothing is wrong with the actual radio, i’m just wanting an upgrade that gives me bluetooth🙏🏻. definitely concerned about the audio quality, is it at least as good as the original radio? also will most likely be upgrading the door subs.
I have a Fx45 with same exact android and I can't control my A/C ..it seems to not be connected PLEASE HELP everything works except my A/C no control THE WIRES ARE CONFUSING and I have no idea which is the A/C

Im glad you did this because now I feel more confident in buying it for my car.. and I feel you, I did some research and they lack on instructions on how to install...how long did it took for you to get the screen once you made the purchase??? anyways.. you did great.... looks awesome ..
Make sure you watch the review video before you order. This is not a perfect solution but it's generally cool. I think I did the math in a previous comment somewhere and it was about 22 days from order to delivery. Im glad you enjoyed the video. When I ordered the only video I saw was in Russian with very little detail ( mostly some installed screenshots ). Good luck if you decide to do the install.
I did not have a factory backup camera in my car and my package did not come with one. They are not expensive so I might buy one and install it, but I have not yet.
Hi there, writing to you from Spain, I got my 2008 Infiniti FX35 tech package new in the US back then. I am almost sold about getting this unit, I was only wondering about a couple of things and I am having some kind of trouble with the communication. I was wondering if you can tell me now that you have been using the radio for a while. What I wanted to know is: 1-The factory radio give you some info about when the car is due for maintenance, tyre rotation and other. Do this screen also give this info? 2-I don’t know if you use Carplay. I will be buying a unit that is wireless carplay capable. Is yours like that? Once you set it as in carplay, does it always go to carplay? Or do you have to go through a routine everytime you start the car?
The AM and FM radio reception are not good on this unit so I would not buy it if you need this feature. The Car Play is a 3rd park solution that emulates Car Play and its seems pretty good.
I had a 2002 Xterra until a car in front of my decided to stop suddenly in front of me. I’ve been very happy with the FX. I have a small oil leak and some suspension noise I need to address, but it’s been a good car. I would buy other Nissan Motors product again.
So with the fitment at the bottom i took the white clips off my oem bezel and put them on new one. I got sound thanks for your tip. However I left the grey box with 3 connectors and my a/c is not responsive... can't control temp or fan speed . Any tips
There were two connectors for the CAN on my car, did you make sure you are using the correct one? I think if you had factory NAV the connector is behind the glove box and you use the yellow wire. Mine with the amber screen used the connector with the green wire. If this doesn’t work I would try to disconnect and reconnect the power connector from the unit. If you can see your door open indicators and the outside temp then your CAN bus should be communicating with the android head unit.
Hi, I am a new subscriber!! I have a 2006 Fx45 , I updated to touch screen and relocated the original screen to clock area years ago. Do I have somewhere to put the connector for navi? My fx comes with navi as well. I will look into this next, I love this look. Thanks for sharing
I saw someone move the factory screen to the clock area and install a standard double DIN head unit when I originally bought my FX a few years ago. For me it was more fabrication that I wanted to do. This solution was plug and play which is why I decided to do this.
I would imagine the speedometer illumination is inside of the speedometer cluster. At minimum you would need to remove the cluster and possibly open it up to change the bulbs. It may be that the color is actually in the plastic and the bulbs are white. This seems like a pretty involved project.
Hello, thank you for the video. Quick question. I bought one of these units for my 2008 FX35 and I have gotten everything to work properly except the Sim card. The unit recognizes the Sim as "Slot 1" but there is no active connection and I know that the Sim is active. I have a Mint Mobile sim card and have added the APN setting for this company, but no connection. Did you ever get any of your sim cards to work? If so, what did you use?
I had trouble getting my SIM to work also. I have a GoogleFi data only SIM. I started working after I restarted my unit. I remember thinking it was not working for a day or two before I did the restart.
How did you get your ac working properly, I have the grey box connected but the ac has a mind of its own and I really have no control other than turning it off Wondering if you had any similar experiences since yours is an 08 aswell
Do you have static on a replacement unit? Is it radio static or present with digital sources? When I replaced the head unit all the connections where plug and play. I did not need to add any additional wiring. There could be a problem anywhere in your factory wiring between the head and factory amplifies causing static.
Hi! I have the same car and stock radio and my radio turns on and off when it wants to and when it is off, the orange lights in my AC setting buttons aren’t on and buttons don’t work. Do you know if this would be a lose wire or the radio unit itself?
I don't know much about the factory system, but you might check the fuse to the radio. I think there is one under the dash and a second under the hood. If its something in the radio or control module it would be more difficult to repair, but something like this might fix it.
I would say integration with factory BOSE system is good but not perfect. After adjusting the preamp levels on the new head unit I am happy with the sounds. There is a very faint noice you can hear with source that has not audio, but I don't notice it when listing to music or driving. You are really upgrading the head unit functions because the amplifiers are speakers are still the same.
Hello, for some reason my ac doesn’t work during hot summer days. Now that summer has ended and temperatures starting to drop my ac is working miraculously. Anyone experiencing this issue?
Hi David, I have a similar screen on my FX35, everything is properly connected and I am struggling with the problem of noise from the speakers. When I put the music louder, I can not hear the noise. The noise can only be turned off by turning off the AMP. I get the impression that this equipment is not adapted to work with the Bose Audio System. Do you also have these symptoms? I note that this is not the noise from the alternator because I have already dealt with it.
I have a small amount whine noise that I hear when the system is on and there is nothing playing. I assume it's some electrical noise that's being delivered to the Bose amp. When the car is running or music is playing, I don't hear the noise. When I initially installed the head unit I would hear it all the time because I was testing it in the garage and not running, but I don't notice it on the road. I hear the noise anytime the volume is above zero, but if I turn the volume to zero the noise will go away. I would definitely adjust the power conditioning setting if you are getting too much signal into the Bose amp and it's overdriving.
@@justprojects1038 Hi, I have exactly the same as you. Can you tell me where to change power conditioning? If these are the settings so that the volume scale is higher or lower, there is no difference after changing. And with you? You set it up and something changed?
Add another ground wire from the outer shell of the radio and ground it too some where that is a good grounding point ....I had to do this to mine...Now no statically noise any more..
Hey having issues with A/C what does it mean when the ac button on the radio is flashing in red. It flashes abt every 5 seconds. And I have no control in the buttons
The AC control box from the original stack stays in the car and the radio controls this. It's the beige plastic box that sits under the screen and behind the panel.
Do you see outside temperature and door position on your screen. This will tell you that your radio is communicating with the cars CAN bus. You need to keep the factory control box in the car. It’s part of the radio stack on mine so you have to take this apart to get the AC control box loose.
Hi :) do you know where to find the software for this radio? I did a system update and the image turned around and the ui and mcu inscriptions were incorrect, are you able to help send a link, how do you get to the software? thanks in advance
I don't have anything to do with the radio manufacture, sale, or software. I am just a customer like you. I would contact your seller and see if they can help. I am still running the original stock software.
I would said fit and finish are not as good as the factory unit. I have mentioned my concerns with the performance in my video. If you want the technology then it's an interesting upgrade.
I have a question, I bought the same model for my 2003 fx35 and for some reason the AC will not turn off , is almost like the screen didn't detect when you try to turn it off, but as soon as you switch to any other function the screen works just fine , any idea how to fix it or what to do ?

We did it. With help from the comments below. A/C and camera was not working but after some information about the metal box under the glovebox it was fixt
@@wilkoklein9097 hello, do you have a picture of the metal box? I have version with navi and cam, but I can't find the metal box under the glove compartment
Would you happen to have the factory system I could buy from you? I bought this android system and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried reaching out to AliExpress for months and I’ve heard nothing.
The Wifi on mine is very weak. If I want to have any kind of decent speed I actually take a Wifi Repeater I have I put it inside the car. With the same wifi repeater plugged in above the car on the garage ceiling I have extremely slow connection. If you are using your phone as a hotspot inside the car then the Wifi should connect.
My AC worked automatically. You need the gray plastic box that is in the middle of the factory radio stack. This is what controls the AC in your car and connects to the new radio.
I currently have an 06 Fx35 without Navi so I purchased a similar Tesla style screen but for some reason the ac controls didn’t work properly it caused the ac turn on and off as your driving hopefully everyone else doesn’t experience that

Thanks, made my install so much easier with this video. One issue is that signing in to google keeps crashing no matter what app you try to do it with. Have you had this problem and managed to find a way to sign in?
Hey Where Did U Purchase This Upgrade For My 2005’ Fx 35 AWD
Will this work with a factory Bose sound system
Yeah, I have a factory Bose. There was one setting in the new radio I had to change to make the Bose Amps work.
@@justprojects1038 thank you sir
How is it holding up in November 2023? I'm a bit afraid of spending that kind of money on a radio from China.
I want to upgrade to the 2020 android technology how do I have or purchase one
Hello, just found your video I have. 2008 Fx35 I’m looking to upgrade to this headunit just wondering will this video apply to my car also
Does this unit retain the factory settting menu for the factory alarm settings, steering wheel & seat automation settings, etc....???
Has that fx been a good vehicle I have a Infiniti m35 and been thinking bout getting one of these
I have fx45, does your car have the 18" rims, thinking switch ing to 18" rims, save money on tires.
Will this worl for a 2005 fx35, with rear tv?
Where did u buy the upgrade
Sir please which wire you call A1 and A2 and what number is it or color of it
Thanks for the video.

What's the name if the head unit and is it holding up?
i have an 2005 FX35- nothing is wrong with the actual radio, i’m just wanting an upgrade that gives me bluetooth🙏🏻. definitely concerned about the audio quality, is it at least as good as the original radio? also will most likely be upgrading the door subs.
How did you make the ac unit to work??

I have a Fx45 with same exact android and I can't control my A/C ..it seems to not be connected PLEASE HELP everything works except my A/C no control THE WIRES ARE CONFUSING and I have no idea which is the A/C
hey there... I wanted to do that also ... I have been watching some videos but no luck finding nothing good... Im glad you did this because now I feel more confident
in buying it for my car.. and I feel you, I did some research and they lack on instructions on how to install...how long did it took for you to get the screen once you
made the purchase??? anyways.. you did great.... looks awesome ..
Were you able to install the backup camera that came with the screen and if so, how did you do it?
I did not have a factory backup camera in my car and my package did not come with one. They are not expensive so I might buy one and install it, but I have not yet.
Great video. What setting did you have to change to use your SIM card?
I think I had to power cycle the radio to get the SIM to work. I know it had it in and out of the sim tray a few times and it was not working.
@@justprojects1038 ok, thanks
Nice video..is that compatible in the 2008??
I am not sure when the body changed, but there are units compatible with the 2008 FX.
Thank you
Hi there, writing to you from Spain, I got my 2008 Infiniti FX35 tech package new in the US back then. I am almost sold about getting this unit, I was only wondering about a couple of things and I am having some kind of trouble with the communication. I was wondering if you can tell me now that you have been using the radio for a while. What I wanted to know is:
1-The factory radio give you some info about when the car is due for maintenance, tyre rotation and other.
What happened to the cover lay dash you installed? You took it off?
The Coverlay dash in still installed, it just was not installed when I made this video.
@@justprojects1038 oh ok cool..I just ordered mines for my car last night 👍🏼
I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra with 180 k on it . Reliable is a understatement. How reliable has you fx been? I'm thinking about getting one.
Do you think that radio can fit
My infiniti fx35 2005? I don't want to make mistake.
Do you know if it’s possible to change the color of the speedometer from orange to like white on the FX?
Hi, let me know if it is possible.
Thanks.
@@justprojects1038 Thanks for the quick response. If I can't get it to work, I will try GoogleFi. Thanks!
How did you get your ac working properly, I have the grey box connected but the ac has a mind of its own and I really have no control other than turning it off
Wondering if you had any similar experiences since yours is an 08 aswell
I have a 2010 ex35 can I tap a subwoofer into the stock amp in these vehicles
They barely push the speakers that are in it.
Is it possible to use WAZE, as the GPS navigation? Thanks
I have Waze installed and it works fine. I also have Google maps. I like Waze because it shows your speed even if you are not actively navigating.
Good video, I want to order for my fx35. Did you need to order the CAN bus too?
The CAN bus interface was part of the system I ordered. It plugs into the back of the head unit.
I ordered mine, is the system still great? Any other projects you have done with your Infiniti?
Everything is working well for me. I might do a backup or 360 camera system next.
did the back camera still appear on the new screen?
I don't have a factory backup camera so I would need to add one if I want this feature.
hey i have a constant static issue with my unit, 2007 fx45. did you have to ground your unit? I’m assuming the static is because it’s not grounded
Where to buy one for update 🤔 please sir
Can you make video how do you install backup camera pls?thx
I may do this. I don't have a backup camera, but they are not expensive from Amazon.
How's the sound quality after the new radio installed compared to the original radio sound quality? Is it a big difference?
I would say integration with factory BOSE system is good but not perfect. After adjusting the preamp levels on the new head unit I am happy with the sounds. There is a very faint noice you can hear with source that has not audio, but I don't notice it when listing to music or driving. You are really upgrading the head unit functions because the amplifiers are speakers are still the same.
@@justprojects1038 Thanks.... You might want to your ground wires. They sell this little thing that’s connects into your ground wire.
I have an 03 . How do I program my factory navigation system? Every time I start it up , it asks me to agree to the navigator language system.
I don't have factory NAV at all so use Waze and Google Maps from the Android play store.
What the link to buy the device ? I have one concern , my car has a beige interior do they have other color than black ?
I did not see the Android units in anything but black and grey online, but I think Black would still look good in your beige interior.
@@justprojects1038
Hi, I have exactly the same as you.
I would contact your vendor, I have not had this problem.
I want to swap out the radio for 2004 to the factory 2008 radio is that duable
I don't know the answer to this. It's likely a question for an Infiniti forum.
I have the same radio. How to connect heat/AC full control system?
The AC control box from the original stack stays in the car and the radio controls this. It's the beige plastic box that sits under the screen and behind the panel.
Hi, the AC isn’t working for me, I’ve plugged in the white box, what should I do?
I wonder would this work with an 2003
This should be compatible with 2003 also.
Just bought a 03 fx45
I want this
Where I can buy it?
I ordered from China on AliExpress
Is this a quality product? In my opinion, it looks kind of cheap and is priced fairly steep....
I’m having the same issue any info

I want that for my 06 fx. How is it going so far?
Everything is still working good...
Anyone know how to get the video to play while driving
I have one for my wife how do you get the wifi to connect
The Wifi on mine is very weak. If I want to have any kind of decent speed I actually take a Wifi Repeater I have I put it inside the car. With the same wifi repeater plugged in above the car on the garage ceiling I have extremely slow connection. If you are using your phone as a hotspot inside the car then the Wifi should connect.
IS it asking to much can you install me one in my fx?
I got everything else to work I just can’t get any sound to come on
There is a setting in the menu that you have to switch on in order for the Bose amps to turn on. I had this problem when I installed mine.
great video, do you know the password for the setting menu is?
On my unit the password was 3368. Be careful messing around in this menu. I am sure they protected it for a reason.
@@justprojects1038 thanks it worked, and I will.
Where did you order it from ?
I ordered from Ali Express and it shipped from China.
Hi how did you get your ac to work ?
My AC worked automatically. You need the gray plastic box that is in the middle of the factory radio stack. This is what controls the AC in your car and connects to the new radio.
How long did it take for the unit to come
