I had been thinking of doing wooden mechanical clock work as a hobby myself. Pretty cool. I'm sure the fun part was the process of trial and error and finally having successful results.

Thanks! I used to have a cheap FDM 3d printer years ago, super useful for prototyping, I'm really interested by the resin based printers so might try it one of these days when I have more space
