those are not leaks. Those are rumors that have nothing to back them up.
Legends ZA is a brilliant name. It makes me think the game will be on both Switch and the Super Switch. As z is the end for the switch and the beginning for the super switch.
Also, I look at this transition as the middle of a macrogeneration of nintendo. Just as game boy color could play game boy games, and 3ds could play ds games, when Pokemon Xand Y came out, it (gen 6) was the flagship game that ushered in the new handheld. It seems they want to relive that magic with ZA.
I think your leaker had info that was changed when the switch was delayed. Which changed up all the plans. (I personally wonder if the EU's requirement for removable batteries had something to do with the delay, or if they are trying to get a dual screen switch to work, and it's taking longer than they thought) the delay would mean any reveals would FIRST want to be made by Nintendo, not Pokemon.
I do wish they would add the game boy games to the switch though, but if they do, HOME support would b3le needed and my hope would be that pokemon could transfer both ways.
But, if I ran Pokemon, this is what I would do.
1. Release the GBA games to switch in 2024 as content for fans that can help them wait for 2025.
2. Wait for Nintendo to reveal the next switch. And make sure it can play ds/3ds games in the virtual console. (Either it will be a dual screen, or you can attach the controllers in portrait mode.)
3. Reveal Legends ZA footage, as well as announce that Pokemon Xand Y will be coming to the switch 2, like how BDSP came out near the same time as Legends Arceus, but also announce DLC for X and Y that will make the stories complete.
4. Announce Gen 10 as well as the plan to release other ds/3ds games over time until every pokemon region is available on the Switch 2. (Just as the 3ds had a point where you could visit EVRY single pokemon region (1-7) in one way or another.)
5. Make the transfer of pokemon between Pokemon Go and HOME work both ways so that every peokemon in your collection can have a pokewalker (especially if it is impacted by the debit fiasco)
Leakers are like garbage. Most of it isn’t useful but you might get lucky and find a gem in there.

So annoying to hear the complaints about no new game in 2025 after all of the crying about BDSP and SV over the last couple of years. You don’t want them to rush anything, but you also can’t handle a year or two off so they can spend time to hopefully get the game right. I love Pokemon, but man this community is so damn toxic. You guys need to make up your minds on what it is you want.

Genuinely speaking, I would very like another PMD after SMD (Still haven't beaten the Epilogue) but I've been trying to get my hands on some of the older games to see how fun they were. Mostly Explorers of Time, just so I can see Primal Dialga.
Personally, I'm a fan of this. I'd rather they take their time and make a good game than rush it and have performance issues again.
I fan of it as well but people are not gonna be patient especially people that skip sv and people that skip dlc and more so it really big deal. This is hype and little upsetting
exactly. Scarlet and Violet had more bugs and glitches than any other switch pokemon game. So a year off with no pokemon game is a good thing. Quality over quantity.
Yeah and when Pokémon now decides to not release a game this year and focus on a game for next year, most of the fans are gonna complain that there is no content for this year.

If Generation 10 was announced for 2026(30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise), we might get a big announcement for the Pokémon anime since 2027 will be the 30th anniversary of the anime.
Riddler Khu used to be a trustworthy source, back in the day he always had good info. But from what it sounds like, it seems like whatever source he had giving him actual leak information isn’t in contact with him anymore. Hearing leaks in general is still fun, but, I’m more cautious of what all the leakers have been saying lately :/
Your worrying too much. Khu might have got one thing wrong. Doesn't mean he's not reliable at all. He's technically got a 97% track record of getting things right.

yeah its a bit over dramatic. This wasn't the first time we went without a main series game. 2015 was no main line game year. A year off is not a bad thing. In fact it is a good thing. Means more development time for future games like Z-A.

This is how the video game announcement > promotion > release cycle NORMALLY works. Pokémon’s condensed timeline is the anomaly, not the norm, and it’s the reason we’ve had such crap quality titles the last couple generations. If they’re slowing down the PR and development cycle to a normal pace, then it’s a GOOD thing because it means they’re actually putting the work in to make a good game. I know it sucks having to wait, but this is why you don’t put all your eggs into one single basket/franchise. There are plenty of other great titles to play while we wait.
A little bummed if we really aren’t getting Gen V remakes, but I’d also say that Riddler Khu is not a trustworthy source. It is no longer accurate to say that he’s got a good track record. He has a TERRIBLE track record overall - he obviously had an inside source for the development of Legends Arceus, and he got a few early details of Scarlet and Violet correct, but he’s otherwise been consistently wrong since then. The guy clearly just likes attention.

I don't know why they saying its a dark day for pokemon. That is completely incorrect. A break year is what we needed. Yearly releases weren't working anymore. The games started suffering because of it. This is why games need more time in development.

@@robomuffin1386 He had some info on a number of new Pokémon, but I don’t know about the entire dex. But he’s gotten most of his info about the DLCs wrong. We were supposedly getting new terrastal forms for some Pokemon, including charizard, we never got that. We were supposed to get some kind of stat/EV/Natures customization system, we never got that. He claimed for months we were going to be getting some kind of Gen 5 game, pointing to all these connections in Indigo Disc, and now we he’s saying we aren’t getting that. A Gen 6 title wasn’t even on the radar and then we got the reveal for one. It’s clear that whatever leak source he had is now gone and he’s desperate to remain relevant.
Maybe he’ll find a new source and become reliable again, but for the time being everything he says should be taken with a massive grain of salt.
Y’all cannot get upset at the idea of having no game this year and in the same breath want a quality product. Waiting a bit aint gonna kill y’all. This ain’t a “dark day” for Pokémon, it’s normal for the gaming industry (see the 13 year wait for KH3). If you’re done with SV, that’s fine. Play something else while GF and Pokémon Works cook.
You think they start production the moment a game is announced? A remake isn’t hard to put together. There’s 0 reason why they wouldn’t have been working on a gen 5 remake the very moment BDSP released. LZA has been in production almost since legends arceus was in production as well.

Riddler Khu isnt saying "Its not coming any new games this year" its important to take notice of how he writes stuff before ruining his reputation. tho what he's writing is interesting, especially when he is that direct. but him writing "The focus is on ...." can mean different things really.
At the moment it’s an external team like ILCA who work on a remake or a Little game like this i don’t im not interested into a remake i prefer more time for One games, but a good game.

Generation 10 being at the 30th anniversary would be interesting and expected as the latest gen 10 was going to come out was 2026. Gen 10’s dlc would be in 2027. That would be that Pokémon would have three generations that were 4 years long. Gen 3, gen 4, and gen 9 if gen 10 is in 2026. If or when Gen 10 is in 2026, that means that gen 9 has two more years left until Gen 10. I don’t know how big tcg pokect is going to be to be the focus until legends z-a and gen 10 releases. The next information for legends z-a should be June and/or August this year. I wonder if we will get any spin off games from now until 2026. As well as another Pokémon movie since the last Pokemon movie was in 2020 in generation 8. We haven’t had a Pokémon movie in a few years. Each Pokémon generation is three to 4 years long, so gen 10 was either going to be in 2025 or 2026 not 2027 or later. I don’t see the Pokémon company missing their 30th anniversary for gen 10, just like gen 7, sun and moon came out on the 20th anniversary of Pokémon.

exactly. SV needed more than three years of development. Especially as it was the first open world pokemon game. We had break years before in the past. It is about time we got another break year. And I hope there are more break years because quality over quantity.
Yeah I don’t believe any of this nonsense. But Gen 10 being in the 30th anniversary maybe, Pokémon legends ZA not releasing in early 2025 probably cause of the new console. But all I’m gonna say right now is my best bet is they’ll definitely show maybe a little something in a Pokémon presents more than likely in August or maybe they could show gameplay of ZA in the June Direct. Just like what they did last year.

I'd like to think they're taking an extra year for Gen 10 on account of it not only being the 30th anniversary, but also because of how half-baked Gen 9 was, and wanting to avoid that happening again. It's like how the saying goes: “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.“
i want more break years for now on. A game in good quality is better than getting yearly games that are filled with bugs and issues.
Even if someone is right 100% of the time, when you're a leaker, you're bound to be wrong at some point and again. That's the nature of it. I just enjoy it for speculation purposes. It makes a fun discussion and to nerd out. I do understand Khu mentioned things for a while and all this build up to be wrong. But I still feel the same.

In regard to the TCG, I think they’ll do 12 Main SV sets like usual and then 4 Legends ZA sets in 2026 - hopefully with Special Illustration Rare Megas. Then they’ll start the Gen 10 Era in 2027.
The only reason we feel weird about za being such a turn since it’s not coming til 2025 is that we usually have a game to keep us occupied for that wait but we don’t have that this time, we only have what was recently given: BDSP & SV along with its dlc content. So it’s a filler year with nothing to keep us patiently waiting with no update on when ZA will be released next year. It’s a little weird if you ask me but I can see why they’ve done it also. This way they can focus on the one game and make sure no bugs like SV will be there or atleast make sure there won’t be. I’ve heard tons of things on the new Pokemon card app coming and I do think they’ll definitely make it a priority for card gamers and collectors. Not really my thing though, I’d rather stick to the actual cards I’ve collected but that’s just me 🤷♂️ as for Pokemon legends ZA we know pretty much nothing about it other than the short video they gave us to announce it, and even that hasn’t got much to go on other than returning Pokemon and it being mainly a map of one city in re development. personally I like not knowing, gives me nostalgia of the old days where we knew nothing about the games and figured it out ourselves. keeps the excitement alive imo. I don’t believe a single thing leakers say these days, they’ve given many of us reasons not to and to take what they say very cautiously. I reckon khu and their source are no longer in contact and he’s just trying to keep his reputation around. That is my opinion and I’m sure there’s many who would come and disagree with me. That’s just what i think. 🤷♂️

I am a little late coming to Pokemon. If they were to make pre-Switch games available on-line, there would likely be money draining from my pocket. There is most of a generation that never played Red or Blue. "Interesting goods" is not equal to "new game".
I think that all this information is very interesting and I’m going with 50/50 wether these Leaks are real or not and I would be okay if we got Gen 10 in 2026.
While I'm excited for the new games, I'm really hoping for voice acting in at the very least, the cutscenes. Audible lip flaps with no voice just really breaks immersion for me, and if even Zelda can make that transition than I feel like it's time Pokemon did the same... so I'm kind of hoping that the reason Z isn't targeting a January release like its predecessor, is that GF have finally decided to add voices to their games, and take a bit of extra time for QA testing. Anyway, this dry spell has to suck as a PokeTuber, either way I hope Legends Z is worth the extra wait.

Maybe this just gives the team time to get updates out for Scarlet and Violet to revert the shiny chances and IV issues with the static legendaries from Indigo Disk, and launch a whole mess of 7 star raids (with shiny chances???) to fill the gap lol

The way things work in massive corp. is that info trickles down with things changing at multiple diferent levels as it trickles down to departments. A leakers source may be at some mid level devolopment personnel and decisions could change making the leaker look false. The track record of a leaker says a lot about their solidity and with so many variables with a new console coming, I’m sure Nintendo as well as the Pokemon Company have gone back on initial decisions making some leakers look lost. I’d say hold tight and wait for more info and wait for the next Direct or Presents

Pretty much feel the exact opposite. I’m glad they’re taking more time to make games and think it’s good news they’re not rushing out another game this year. S&V was fun but performance wise was a joke. Gen 10 will hopefully be even better on a new system and more time in development.

The one thing I do believe and this is not because Khu said it.. Is Gen 10 will be 2026. Gives them the extra time to make sure those bugs don’t happen again and it falls on the 30th anniversary so it’s a win-win for them. No doubt Khu had an insider for awhile. Now I’m really convinced that source is gone fired/retired or something. Now he’s just pulling whatever he can think of out of his ass so at least he can say one of those things he said was right trying to make himself credible. I see him now.

A friendly reminder that most game franchises have a more then 3 year gap between games.
Seems like this new game series (legends games) has Nintendo/TPC confused, as far as marketing and using Pokémon Day to their advantage. They want the big announcement at a critical moment but if the release is early in the year, then they almost have no choice but to announce it way in advance.
The next generation of Pokémon is in Australia if im wrong i will be surprised because aussie is the most wanted region in pokemon and if you look at the pokemainac trainer on the yellow part of his shirt it looks like a kangaroo, and you would say oh yeah that's not a kangaroo that's drangonite but it looks nothing like drangonite because the ears are pointed up not wavey like antennae

Why don't they just make patches to fix the scarlet and violet performance issues and have some kind of smallish downloadable content like returning pokemon or another episode which isn't like huge, like the epilogue.

I will be extremely hype if gen 10 is 2026 for 30th anniversary because it gives us flashback with the 20th anniversary sun moon came out on 20th and gen 7 was banger in my oppion. i think gen 10 will be really fun. it does suck that Pokémon might not be getting anything at least it gives time to get older game or save for the new one. za late 2025 is so weird cause reveal i have mix feeling on this. very excited for what next still excited pocket could be fun at least we get free cards. it just that were goanna be getting raid for another year with za. unless gen 5 come out with za at end of year like dusty said which would be cool idea. 😄😄🥺😨
Let them take their time. I'd rather them actually make a polished game than them rush yet another remake or new generation and it just fall apart like Scarlet/Violet did at launch.

I keep seeing Khu is washed out at this junction. So I dunno how much weight anyone should give his words. Furthermore, I wouldn't call this projected release schedule so much of a leak as realistic potential based on past paradigms. This guy isnt saying much, his predictions are kinda general in this, so far, like he's a speed dial medium or something, Just kinda, grabbing at thin air and giving weight to obvious potential on the last wind in his sails. So his words are kinda a meh from me. As far as this projected schedule goes: I shy to call this a "Darkest Day" for the franchise. It honestly doesn't need more rushed to market trash the likes of S/V and, in my opinion, there isnt enough time to develop PLZA, Gen X AND another remake and insure any kind of quality for any of them if we keep pushing these crazy deadlines. Pokemon is a global phenomenon. The companies involved can and should take the time off to repair some of the damage done by caring more about deadlines instead of quality. We don't need Gen X in 2026. Honestly if the push is to have it out by the 30th anniversary, we can all be guaranteed it's gonna be yet another half-baked bug-laden trash heap that they expect us to pay an ADDITIONAL $60 for the back half of the story...AGAIN! This ain't it, fam. Let's stop pressuring the company to shit out annual garbage and try to have some actual patience. I have always thought gen 10 will be for the 30th, but khu is a joke. I have never bought into his stuff. Not once, and a lot of that comes from how horrible he is. That aside he had no clue about Z-A, and therefore I don’t believe for a second he knows about its release date. More importantly while he might know the main pokemon releases. I guarantee he knows nothing about the spin offs. I still think we will get something this year, but more like Let’s go, mystery dungeon, just some sort of spin off.
My big thing is the dumb mobile games. A lame tcg app that won’t work right and sounds utterly boring (because they are all exactly the same) is not an OK substitute. I hate the mobile garbage, and it 100% should never be apart of the presents. 99.9% of mobile games suck. Venting about mobile pandering aside. I think the next bit of news we will see is in June. For e3 we used to get the big nintendo direct (confirmed now) and a pokemon presents. I would not be surprised to get both again. I also would not be surprised at this point if we did not get it. I just hate the cg trailer. Show me something with the game please. And for the love of the gods please give us more than a remake for this year nintendo. I’m wanting a legit new game not more copies of games I still play. I get so much of that with movies and series too. NEW PLEASE!
Also just a quick add. Guessing three games is silly from Khu cause it could literally be as broad as gen 10, remake/legends, gen 11. That’s about 99% likely for switch 2 lifecycle at minimum.

This isn’t sad at all. It’s great news. I’m bummed abt Gen 5 (and I think they still may come out in Nov) but this is what we wanted following the disappointment of the quality of Gen 8, BDSP, and Gen 9. We needed GF to actually put effort and time into their games for once.
Khu is not a reliable source. Never has been. He was wrong about things in Indigo Disk and was completely wrong about a game for this year. Nothing confirms gen ten will be in 2026. It has a good chance but its not confirmed. We are not getting a game 2024. Pokemon Company and GF made that absolutely clear with what we had on Pokemon Day Presents. You don't need Khu to tell you we not getting a game this year. We were never getting gen 5 remakes this year.

No, a dark day would be the release of another ugly, buggy, unfinished game. Smart fans do not want a 2024 release. I don’t want Z-A any sooner than Nov. 2025 and Gen 10 any sooner than Nov. 2026. I’d be fine with Gen 10 in 2027. SLOW IT DOWN. Sorry that this will hurt your RUclips earnings Matt but the annual releases need to stop.
I doubt gen 10 would be in 2027 as why would pokemon miss their 30th anniversary for a new generation to release. It was either going to be 2025 or 2026 for gen 10 to release. The latest gen 10 was going to release is 2026 not 2027 or 2028. 2027 will probably be would it’s dlc comes out for gen 10. The 30th anniversary could probably be as big as the 20th anniversary back in 2016. A new gen will probably be one big thing that they could have at the 30th anniversary. I don’t know how big tcg pocket is going to be for it to be the focus until legends z-a and gen 10 releases. Gen 9 has two more years until 2026 then if gen 10 is in 2026 which it probably will be if or when it’s true. Gen 9 and pokemon horizons will probably be 4 years long. Three gens, gen 3, gen 4, and gen 9 will probably be the only gens to be 4 years long if gen 10 is in 2026.

this. Three years of game development is not enough. Especially for open world pokemon games. Look at other open world games like Zelda. They had like five or more years of development. To be told we are not getting a game this year is not a dark day for pokemon. Its the opposite in fact. It means the game company is listening to the fans feed back and finally taking more time with their games.
@@JamieAlexander18 most franchises are different then Pokémon, as especially a multi media franchise. We also have to keep in mind the other things that come in a Pokémon generation not just the mainline games. As all of them are all components cogs of the machine that make up the Pokémon franchise and keep it going. Which other franchises like Zelda does not have. So it’s easy for franchises like Zelda to have a long development cycle. The latest gen 10 was going to be was 2026 since of course 2026 is the 30th anniversary for Pokémon. It would make sense for gen 10 to be at the 30th anniversary for Pokémon, just like the 20th anniversary in 2016 for sun and moon. Gen 9 was never going to last 5 or 6 years. A 6 or 7 year development cycle would be too long for pokemon. Especially after waiting for halo infinite and its release. Each Pokémon gen was 3 or 4 years long anyway.
We'll have to buy a whole nother console just to play Gen 10. Unfortunate.

you do realize that this happens in pokemon all the time right? We had to buy the Nintendo DS for DS games, the 3DS for 3DS games, etc. So a new gen on a new console isn't new at all

I doubt Gen 10 will suck as hard as the past Switch Pokemon games. They will still be lackluster and, a lesser video game than it should be. Let's Go, SwSh, and, ScarVo were disappointments in every way.
