Go the self-publish route! I decided to take my passion for graphic design (also went to school for it) and apply it to my own project. I applied for COUNTLESS jobs for years and heard nothing but crickets. Decided to believe in myself (do for self) and now I'm self-published my SECOND book! Did everything myself because everyone wanted to make money off of designing, putting it together, you name it. In 3 years I've self-published 2 books and now I'm doing workshops for children and youth, as a way to encourage them to tap into their own talents and abilities. I've always been insecure about my writing, but I've gained the confidence throughout the process.
I've been taking in all of your interviews! Thank you for the content and challenging the way I view the world!

Prof. Hunter, thank you for discussing John Astor and the significance of the beaver. This subject is a feature on my Black History walking tour of Manhattan. However, your mention of the CBS Morning Show segment has inspired me to include the ecological role of beavers. Typically, I focus on their economic importance, such as their use as currency during the Dutch settlement of Manhattan. Astonishingly, 50 beaver pelts could have been used to purchase an enslaved African at that time. Once again, thank you for your groundbreaking contributions.

"Understand the impact of time over time"
Great conversation. And so true. Indigenous populations, including the indigenous people in Africa (we always think America or Australia when we say indigenous) will understand the land so much more than colonizers end imperialists. The planet suffers because of it. Humans are like a virus, after a certain period in our history. All we do is consume instead of thinking about how that consumption destroys everything in its path. Look at the plastics and trash, and oil spills and extinct species. Humans do not realize that we can be extinct too, our time on earth is not guaranteed.

1:50 Procrastination 101: “The action of delaying or postponing something.” At the end of the day, the one that is procrastinating is still taking action albeit not the desired one!
Want to banish Procrastination forever? Then live in the end, repeat, “live in the end of your fulfilled desire” and pay attention and act on the ideas that fall like “raindrops” from living this principle. Simple but not easy, if it were easy most would be doing it.
You cannot shut off your mind the issue is that most of us are not taught how to use that great tool of ours effectively.
