works good. I like to pre exhaust with a lighter weight to get lots of "total" volume in and then take a heavier moderate weight and fail over and over again around 6 to 7 reps for 5 to 6 sets. Takes about 15-20 mins per bodypart.
Mark, you should invite Dante to the podcast. He’s in your neck of the woods. Still owns True Nutrition as well The man is a straight genius when it comes to anything in the lifting world
@@Rensoku611 your right he doesn't. He refuses to be interviewed on this training method due to that. Dante is like a ghost in the shadows. A true genius but so little know if him

I did this routine before. It’s machine based. Lot of hammer machines and cables. It’s pretty dumbell friendly . You get freaky strong St those lifts though
Love the video/tips. Excuse my ignorance, but where o where does one find glorious pulldown handles like the one in this video and that sweet wide grip T-bar I've seen in Smelly Bell's other videos?
the only thing I don't like about this system and something I stopped doing a long time ago...is the need to record everything you do...and the need to constantly beat your pr. this sets up a ton of pressure and stress before each workout...what happens if you don't break your pr? you're depressed and frustrated, till you do...this takes away the fun and enjoyment from training...fact is this...as long as you train hard, come close to failure, you're doing everything you can do...cause fact is, you're not always going to get stronger...but you can continue to get bigger...I stopped recording what I do, a long time ago...just go all out, and when a certain weight gets to feeling a bit too light, add more weight, simple...
Great Video, can't wait to try these cluster sets. I don't really agree with the last idea, (protein feed right before bed) maybe try 2 hours before bed instead because digestion while sleeping is reduced plus it reduces the quality of sleep. A good way to improve sleep could be eating a small portion of poultry for the L-tryptophan and a small dose of carbs
I think this depends on the person though.. for me, I sleep extremely well directly after a meal so I hit some animal protein then top it off with casein then straight to bed. Of course digestion is slower while you sleep, which is a benefit because your missing two fed windows when you’re asleep for 6-8 hours. (I’m small with a very fast metabolism; need to feed every 3-4 hours to grow)
But WHY would this modified version of DC training be 'better'? A typical DC cluster set also includes a static hold, finished with a weighted stretch. Keeping a log book is also important with this type of training, since progressive overload is the name of the DC game. Once you're no longer able to use more weight, it's time to switch to different exercises. Read Dante's original posts on Professional Muscle for all details.
@@Jmack7861 I think you're saying that the vlog is a record of the gym day. I agree but I can't imagine watching a video every time you go to the gym to remember what reps/weight you are targeting.
Well, Borge Fagerli's Myo reps can be seen as a fatigue management technique. Where DC actually aims for as much fatigue as possible. Myo reps should not be taken to absolute failure (preferably) DC should, and so on.
Great information, thank you. Would that method be suitable for a full body workout (three times a week, Mo, Wed, Fri)? Doing five or six exercises, different muscle groups, no split? And what about progression and periodization?
Sorry this is an amazing video; I really enjoyed watching it and I think any content with Nunez is great, but how does it relate to the Doggcrapp method? I don't know much about it, but it seems more like this video is about Borge's method using myo reps? It's really cool, just yeah, is the style connected to the DC training system, or is the title kind of misleading? Sorry if it seems a dumb question. Thanks for always uploading great content!!
Ya it’s not really DC training, more like myoreps like you said. Dante Trudel advocated doing 15 deep breaths in your rest times during rest pause. Had Berto and Mark done that during this training session instead of 5 breaths, they would’ve gotten more reps per mini set and thus more volume.
Did DC training change. We used to do this like 15 years ago but iam missing the log book, exercise rotation and i also thought it was 3 rp sets withba total of 12/15 reps. Why not just go on IM or PM to find out. Cycling for pennies should also be around some where.
get on jordan peters, strong as all fuck. to the point he has extended bars for the majority of his machines yet still smashes 20 reps in a full body max effort style variant of DC
This is how you actually train to progress and build muscle if you’re natural. Juiceheads can get anyway with just about anything in terms of training, nutrition and sleep and still beat 90% of nattys
Will doing this grow the size of the muscle or is this focused on strength? I have a cage at home and focus on high volume. Like I’ll superset bench at a weight at 15 reps, flys 15 reps, narrow push 15. Then inclined at 12 reps, etc. but stop at 10 reps. And move on for another muscle group.
Berto coached me to my pro card. He is as nice and humble as he is knowledgeable
Ronnie which handle are they using here? I'd like to score one. thx.
@LuckySixes i know its late bu there called mag grips
@@joelalderton1411 thanks Joel. I did some poking around after my post and found them. I do appreciate your reply though thank you

After 15 years of lifting I finally figured out how to put majority of the load on my lats vs biceps. Thank you
Even better if you pre exhaust them first with cable pullovers. My back never got sore until I started doing that like old school Nautilus machines!

Hey Mark got my Benchmark today. Felt amazing and was able to pin my shoulders down much better. Hit a volume PR to end the year! 💪🏻
Great vid! Always love the bodybuilding instructional vids! More please 😊😊
Wow, resurrecting DC Training. Awesome Berto👍👍
It was nice to hear Mark talk about Berto using 155. I was thinking the same thing! Glad to see that even Mark had to use less weight
any nunez video is pure fucking gold. guy is amazing. good content as always
Incorporated that pull up into my room workout. The myoreps really make the body weight constraint a no burger.
Awesome!
A very happy new year to Mark and whole team SuperTraining..
Love and blessings from India.
Funny I’ve been kinda doing this style of training for a while, never heard of it until now. I like

pretty close to what I was doing with super sets, nautilus row and pulldown, I just have to mess with the reps and break time.

What a couple of beasts!!! 💪💪
Could I use this as accessory work to my main lift in my powerlifting routine, or is this strictly more of a bodybuilding routine
Will this grow size of the muscle or is this focused on strength? I hear more volume is best for size, is that true for you guys?
Why did I know this before ever watching the lat pulldown technique . Am I special too 🤣🤣
Will elephant crap training be better?
Only if you inject elephant bull sperm directly into the muscle you are targeting pre w/o.
I've heard elephant crap is just a massive pile of shit
Alberto is the man
Great how to do video, definitely giving us ideas for new how to videos on our Channel!! 😃
berto lookin huge
I like doing this but resting 30 seconds. Puts the reps more like 19, 10, 9, 7, 7, rather than 19, 4, 4, 4, 4.
That kind of defeats the purpose imo. You'd probably be better off sticking with 15 and doing more sets
Does the intro hype up anyone else?
Yeee!
Yes
no amazingly after hearing it ten thousand times it has the opposite effect of irritating me
This is good man! I’ll def be giving this a shot
Love old school intro😀

OH YES
Eating before bed messes with GH production, sleep and other hormones
Can someone please tell me the name of those grips/ attachment they were using on the pull down? I can’t remember for the life of me.
They are called Mag grips mf’s

Neuteboom1980 DC didn’t change and never will, it’s a classic and genius system. So this is just Alberto’s version I suppose
Your recall is correct in the Rep range. To me the stretches and fascia tearing after each exercise was a key to growing with D.C.
They are doing myoreps not dc though
I’m a fan of Alberto now
Myoreps are so useful. Just gotta know how to use them.
Thx gonna try these

Hopefully I can use this during busy med school rotations.

Isometrics to maximize tension/intensity?
Just to clarify, within each cluster set do you also keep approximately 1 rep in the tank???
yes or you cant keep going
