- Here's a time lapse video of the 2024 total solar eclipse near Rochester, NY. We were in the path of totality here and unfortunately it was very cloudy when the eclipse happened! I managed to get a few pics when the eclipse was starting. And it was still a cool experience when it got dark for over 3 minutes! I could feel the temperature dropping as well! @KPLy125YT Yeah you probably just had a partial eclipse there. I did get the special viewing glasses but didn't really need them.
