Nice score with the Hare and Forbes machinery they will make life a lot easier for you. I think the comfort factor in a roadster when someone is tall will always be a compromise, when I had a '29 Plymouth roadster getting in and out wasnt very graceful lol. Cheers Greg
Bloody Hell Jords, 7Ft, gees, you'd have your own weather system up there! You should be hot rodding a Twin Cab Mack! Joking aside, great job describing what you are doing and what you are planning, congrats on scoring the machinery. Great to see Karlo over from Canadia, he was the bloke who put me on to your channel as I am also subbed to his. Wish I was still living near Dunsborough, I'd drop in to say g'day to both of you, with your permission of course. Looking forward to next week to see what happening to the roadster.
Definitely I like the Rack on the back of the Car and the idea shorting the Cat walk would look awesome I Stretch my 34 Ford pick up 10 inches edit a window so I can get in it and What up with the Oldsmobile Custom
Yeah it’s growing on me. It’s on the side lines. The complete front is at the sand blasters and will grab that soon. I’d like to get a couple videos on it this year
It’s coming along nicely so far guys.really looking forward to seeing more videos in this project. Can’t wait. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab on. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Hey Jordan, I was also thinkin' like Bob - Karl could do a great job at extending the doors. And a smaller wheel would solve both the windshield interference issue and entry/exit. With your skills, I'd think you could use the hub, shorten the spokes, and shrink the diameter of the wheel. Sorry if I triggered another OCD episode!
Thanks for the awesome video. I love the new tools. I don't have the sheet metal tools yet but I bought a mill and a lathe a couple of years ago. They were a game changer for me. I'm still working on my chassis and drive train. I'm building a 53 Chevy 1/2 ton drag and drive pickup with a 6-71/NOS blown 292 inline 6 at 1000 HP+. I made my own 8 rib water pump pulley and it looks really cool. Since I don't have to pay someone I can make things super cool. Thank you for your time.
I get sad when I hear about all of the amazing builds you are all doing. The best I have done was to make a table lamp from the rotor out of a 6-71 blower.
Fantastic entertainment as always, so good to watch and learn how you go about the various jobs and tasks required. Love the new tools as well. Little side note, do you have a Bennetts Customs playlist? The music choices you add to your videos is really good!
Love the point you are in the build...many of the ergonomic trades are in play. Form follows function! If you review the sections of this video that capture your egress from behind the steering, with the amount of chop you are considering, you will see something needs to give. The location of your hip bone is a good indication of where the B pillar needs to start for reasonable egress. Ruminate on it a bit and you will figure out the solution, but in the end this is your car and it needs to fit. Always love the content and the working together you and Karl have.
I hope the roadster will be as awesome as I am thinking it will be. So that it will fill the void after the race car is gone. Great job, I like how you think.
Do you think Karl did that on purpose? We used to call that oyster picking at school, that was along time ago. Hey Karl, enjoy the great southern land. Jordan keep up the great work. You two are a great team. I also feel for Brent for the loss of his workshop and tools he has a humongous job ahead of him.
Awesome content as usual, and really enjoyed watching the genuine-ness of your friendship with Karl. Congratulations on the new equipment and love the banner on the back wall. Great stuff here, Go Bennetts Customs and Japhands, Keep moving forward!
what about making the doors longer to help with getting in and out? You could do a 2 piece door as well. Actually only one needs to be longer, definitely lower the floor if chopping the wind screen, cheers!
@@bennettscustomsco I thought so, but now you say she is too small for you? How are you going to fit a lovely love seat in her? That's why we love your show, I'm sure you will find a way and then you could put her in the living room!
You reckon that right hand drive steering box is a tight fit; you haven't worked on an Aussie Slant 6 Valiant! Tons of room for a left side box, but there's an oil pump thrown in there, as well.😵💫
More windshield tilt, what about a smaller diameter steering wheel? More cabin length, what about adding 2 1/2" to the doors, subframe and relocating the rear axle?
Man you sure can build some bitchin hot rods!!! Do you sell those Bennetts Customs camo hat? Love the videos you have no clue how much I've learned from you, Thanks!!!
Travis just released this great video on building a custom steering box I think you might be interested in - you guys are literally at the same place with your builds. Hello from "Rain City"! ruclips.net/video/QyGs603ffeQ/видео.html
Make the bottom of the steering wheel flat? You know how they made those steering wheels with the top 1/4 cut off to be 'space-age' in the 60's..but you do it upside down? Also, if getting in and out is an issue, lengthen the doors, make people wonder what is different, don't be like anyone else mate!
Hey guys have you heard the bad news from BRENT AT HALFASS COSTOM,TRAGEDY complete shop and cars ,projects, and all tools total loss.what a shame,i know karl knows him
yeah, a tragedy for @HalfassKustoms. That Dodge roadster was coming up beautifully. Hope Bennetts Customs Co is well stocked with fire prevention stuff.
Yeah, pretty shit news to return to. He seems to have the right attitude though, wish him luck with the rebuild. Also Slick Fiddy, Puddin's mate, had damage to his home workshop & cars from a bloody tornado 🌪
yeah pretty sh1tty thing to return to after a holiday but Brent seems to have a positive attitude about it despite everything none the less still a terrible thing, very sad 😢for him and his family
Gotta love Hare and Forbes - this will keep you bashing out beautiful moving things for our youtube viewing pleasure forever!
Yes definitely excited get stuck into it
Sad news about Half Ass customs shop burnt down show Support thanks guys and gals
Extremely sad
Good to see you and Carl together and your new Metal master equipment awsome 👏👍
Thank you Ian!
Looking good mate, I’m scotch brighting the roadster an re Galmet looking good WA Nationals are the target
Let’s go!
Good friends, good tunes 👍
Nats in WA next year, just saying, would be cool to see both roadsters there 😎😎😎

Once your stuffed in it’s okay! I’m still nibble enough to squeeze out haha
When you need a catwalk moved, and who doesn't, Karl's the right guy for the job!
I hang each week too watch your video and you don't let me down . But it will be hard to top the A team.
Hopefully we can get Karl back next year for a couple weeks!
Love the lettering on the big Bennetts customs banner!!!
For once in my life I'm happy to say "I'm only 5'-10"! Looking good Jordan.
Hahaha lucky you

Thanks Ivan! Yeah it’s bloody tough being so tall with these miniature go carts! Haha
Well next time you’re even in the area please pop in!

Can you do a little sneaky, sneaky and lengthen the width of the A pillar in order to move the door back?
I like not cutting the chassis and that rack is a good touch, i like it.
It’s coming along nicely so far guys.really looking forward to seeing more videos in this project. Can’t wait. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab on. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Hoping to get lots done over the next few months!
Talked Karl into moving to the antipodes yet? Cool content as usual..
Excellent video I really enjoyed! You and Karl together made some great progress on your roadster!
Thanks Dale! Always wish we had more time

All great ideas Tom!
In the good old days we would fill the gap between the body and 32 frame with a wooden spacer. Peace out.
Great work, it is looking good!

I will make sure Ben has the playlist in the link!
Nice to see the steering on the right, not the wrong side of the road ! 😁👍🏼 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yup your definitely right, not exactly where I’ll go with it or just deal with the size I’m still young so squeezing in and out is okay! Haha
I hope the roadster will be as awesome as I am thinking it will be. So that it will fill the void after the race car is gone. Great job, I like how you think.
I agree with you! Fingers are crossed
I noticed Karl doing the old "get down & Booger" in the background 😂👃👈
Do you think Karl did that on purpose? We used to call that oyster picking at school, that was along time ago. Hey Karl, enjoy the great southern land. Jordan keep up the great work. Jordon that is a good idea of widening the door 6" or more you two can make it look right
Awesome content as usual, and really enjoyed watching the genuine-ness of your friendship with Karl. Congratulations on the new equipment and love the banner on the back wall. Great stuff here, Go Bennetts Customs and Japhands, Keep moving forward!
new subscriber 🇨🇦🇨🇦 looking forward to following your builds
Thanks JB!

Yeah chop floor and get low!
Great video. Could you make the doors wider so you can get in and out??
It’s definitely an option
Which car were you going to put the leather love seat in? Love the music as always!
This roadster!

Hahah no good!
Why not add 6 inches to door length while karl is rebuilding them
Not a bad idea.
exactly my thought my doors on the 28 are 100 mm extended
I was thinking the same thing.
I'm not the only one that paused after you got out of the car to see if anyone had mentioned lengthening the doors.
Karl always Just picking his nose in the background 😂
Hahaha
You'll just have to get in & out from the passenger's side 👍🏼👍🏼
Slide right across! Easy
Tell Karl Halfass Kustom shop Burn down jojojojojojojo
More windshield tilt, what about a smaller diameter steering wheel?
More cabin length, what about adding 2 1/2" to the doors, subframe and relocating the rear axle?
Longer doors without moving the body back & then maybe you're not too tall...suicide hinges easier in n out?
extending the door fit the body move
Make the doors longer!
Looking the goods, do you want some Hubs ?
What about a removable steering wheel??
Carl's in Manitoba fixing the burnt dodge coupe wtf
Back in the day it wasn't uncommon to only have a passenger door and slide across the bench seat.
You need the monkey mobile yes! The actual monkey mobile lots of room in there
Nice Video.

👍🏼👍🏼
Maybe a "fat man" wheel option like they had for model Ts?
Man you sure can build some bitchin hot rods!!! Do you sell those Bennetts Customs camo hat? Love the videos you have no clue how much I've learned from you, Thanks!!!
7:00 lol

I know the body is in a bad shape, but there was one crack too many in the video IMOP😂
Hahahah it must be broken

G,day mate, the farst forward is too farst, can't follow. Hooroo mate se ya later ❤😢
That steering wheel still looks too big. Just doesn’t seem to fit the proportions.
I’ll honey I shrunk the kid it!
I hope you don’t cut it, it would cheapen it by making look like a coupester aka a wannabe roadster 🤢
