I teach a group of 8-9 year olds and this is our class song. Whenever the kids are sad and need a boost this is what we play. I am so happy a group of 15 kids all collectively found this song reassuring and soothing.

I think the point of the song is that even if you're small, which is a metaphor for poor or tall, which is a metaphor for being rich. It doesn't matter if your rich or poor, you are in the middle. The man who was 2 feet tall was happy even though he was small (poor) hence he part where he says "lived" but the man who was 12 feet tall wasn't very happy even though he was tall (rich) hence the money symbols on his eyes, his broken heart and the part where he says "dreaded" instead of "lived" like the man who was 2 feet tall. Basically the point of this song is that you don't need to have everything in the world to be happy, money can't buy happiness. I think.

After going through a rough patch financially, I found a very rich man looking for a wife on a dating app. He lived by himself, barely left his house and struggled with anxiety and addiction. I'm so glad I didn't commit to a relationship with him knowing that my freedom and well-being could've been compromised. True, I found this band a couple of months ago.
I think they're not referring to literal height but insted social status your only as small as the world will make u seen the 2 feet tall man looked homeless so he was small in social standing and the 12 foot tall man looked rich with money sign eyes making him tall and high in social status and the 6 foot tall guy is normal in life not knowing his purpose yet.................. that's just how I see it ❤

This song hits different when you meet "the man of 12 feet tall" in real life and realize money can't buy you happiness. It is truly a gem to go back to and reflect about life.
After going through a rough patch financially, I found a very rich man looking for a wife on a dating app. He lived by himself, barely left his house and struggled with anxiety and addiction. I'm so glad I didn't commit to a relationship with him knowing that my freedom and well-being could've been compromised. I now have so much appreciation for the things I already have instead of feeling frustrated for what I don't. Even if he had offered the world to me, I couldn't want. I went back and listened to this song over and over after being with him. "When the going gets rough (...) I'll look on the bright side, I'm roughly 6 feet tall."

omg I remember I was OBSESSED with christofer drew in the seventh grade, but after that year I hated him and didn't listen to a single song of his until literally today, as a 10th grader, only because seventh grade was a horrible year and his music brought back bad memories, and made me feel the same way I did as a little 12 year old and I hated that so I avoided him and his music for ever. But then today I randomly listened to this song and gee, no wonder I loved him so much.
