Because it is a semimodular synth, you can use one to modulate the other, do cross-modulations, experiment with stereophony (for instance binaural beats), and i don't know what else for the moment, but i'm gonna find out.
As for the sound, i think the three versions (black, blue or gray) are identical, except the first edition of the black which didn't had the analog spring reverb. I haven't checked that myself, i have read that somewhere on the web. But i have checked that the gray one have the spring reverb in it (because when you shake the synth while playing, you can actually hear the spring moving). And as a matter of fact, i like the gray one. And do not like the black with multicolor lights (too distracting for me).
What's the benefit of having 2? Also is the grey version purely for aesthetics or do you prefer the sound?
