Love to see long ass RPGs Speedruns, I was wondering if there is a act 4 skip since 3&5 share the same map, but I guess there is not(or hasn't been found)
as far as i can tell going through act 4 is what triggers the appearance of Iz on the map, but I have only begun to start digging through this game trying to find skips and exploits. It would be incredible to be able to skip act 4, but also super dangerous since the end of the game can be pretty deadly even with the current xp routing.
hey man, i havent watched the whole thing yet. wanna know if theres a way to go solo in this, then somehow get companions matched to your level at a later stage like in kingmaker? thanks.
RUclips has apparently been adamant that I do not reply to your question. I've typed out responses like 3 times and they never seem to send lol. The short answer is I have not tried it myself in WOTR, since there is no real way to accumulate a ton of XP before you can recruit your party members. But if you want to try it out, all you need to do is make sure you turn OFF the option "Only active companions receive experience" before recruiting a new party member.
If I were already playing a rogue style character I would probably pass on taking Woljif in my active party. I think its still worth recruiting him in a casual run just for the companion quests and in case his recommendations in the council are worthwhile.
I like to figure out combat strategies. Like, killing the vescavor queen out of combat with a cloudkill scroll. But you don't need that kind of strategy on low difficulties i guess. I directly started the game on unfair.
For 2 reasons. First, Aivu is OP in combat at such a low difficulty, second is that you get teleported to Areelu's lab without having to actually travel there which saves time. However there is a faster route through the game found by another runner that goes demon and runs through the game solo.
At Drezen you don’t need to take the fake sword of valor, it’s just a trap to fuck with you and you can ignore that and keep moving since you know it’s fake
There is a jump off point in Lost Chapel, outdoors where the ghouls have the guy strapped down. There’s a walkway that goes down and bit and there’s a few jump points. Idk if it’s faster or not though Edit: oh your skipping a bunch of content, ya you’re probably fine
Let's see how fast you can do the "Sadistic Game Design" achievement (Core difficulty, no more than 75 rests total, Defeat all optional bosses in the earliest chapter they appear, No auto level up or retraining, Max out crusade stats, Defeat Khorramzadeh's army in Crusade mode.
@@pondoorwastaken Unfair speedrun..did this happen? That's not the kind of thing that's easy as speed-running will curtail power potential heavily and on Unfair it matters and some fights are just hard no matter how well you play.
@@prabhatkiranmukherje I haven't done any more speedruns for WOTR, unfortunately the game is just not as much fun a speedrun as kingmaker is. However, I did just finish doing more runs on unfair for Kingmaker, and my best time was slightly under 2.5 hours with load times removed.
Nicely done. I think I'm just a little bit behind your record at a brisk 185 hours.
lol im pretty sure thats about how long my first playthrough was
Its like watching the birth of a speedrun.. i like this

The cat clinging onto you lol
lol yeah, he is a bit of a cuddler, and can be insistent on it when he wants to
Nois will use some of this to quicken a second play through
Doesn't say difficulty level.
any% is done on story difficulty
How do you skip some cut scenes like the one with irwbeth fighting the demons. I always thought you can’t skip some
Wotr added the option to skip cutscenes with a hotkey, I believe the default is either the enter key or the spacebar
would you have even bothered with woljif, if you were playing a high dex rogue type guy?
If I were already playing a rogue style character I would probably pass on taking Woljif in my active party. I think its still worth recruiting him in a casual run just for the companion quests and in case his recommendations in the council are worthwhile.

Why do you choose Azata as your path for the speedrun?

Thanks for the tip! We call that a free time save lol
I can’t even imagine a world where I dismiss Camellia from my party. Nope. Not gonna do it.

No promises there, but I am currently doing attempts at an unfair Speedrun for kingmaker on my twitch channel on sundays
@@pondoorwastaken Hey, no rush. I just haven't seen anyone do a video for that particular achivement yet.
