I can distinctly remember where I was when I heard he passed..let's face it..if he was alive today the mans presence alone couldn't be for into one stadium let alone the crowds he would attract. the man wrote music. Plain and simple. They had depth in lyrics and epicness in sound. Truly amazing and truly missed.
The world needs another Rich Mullins.

Very interesting insights about unconditional love..Very thought provoking, compassionate, and Rich listens very well and interprets from different points of view of different stages & from different kinds of people growing up..Loved this video....Rich's insight inspires us now and future generations to come..Thanks..

Disagree with him about divorce. My parents stayed together until I was in my 40s & im worse off for it because my father was verbally & emotionally abusive to me & my siblings, & my mom was an enabler. He was an angry controlling narcissist, & he destroyed my self worth, self esteem, & self confidence. I’ve suffered debilitating mental health issues my entire life & both of my my siblings ended up in abusive relationships, because of my father’s abusive nature. My mom finally divorced him & left, but it was far too late. The damage (both my parents’ behaviors & their disastrous marriage caused) is irreversible.
You gotta move on.

I got saved when I was 13. I too grew up in a dysfunctional home with alcoholism, mental, emotional, and all other forms of abuse. My parents stayed together. Sure I got messed up and had to work on many things in my life. But, at the end of their lives, both my parents came to know the Lord.
My first husband was like both of them combined. The emotional narcissist abuse from him was awful. It was mostly directed at me, but the children witnessed it and learned from it. He divorced me. I believe it was God’s grace. It was meant to be an abuse tactic and it went through. I was willing to stay in that marriage to protect my kids from having to go alone with him. One thing that I did get from my parents staying together is a commitment to stay married. Now in my second marriage, we have been married for 32 years. He is a believer that walks the walk. What difference! Our children together are much healthier than the older three, but I know God is working in their hearts.
When you let God in, he can turn ashes into beauty. God bless you! Don’t give up, God can do miraculous things in our brokenness.
I listened to his music as a teen. But confess, I just found this site. This interview bothered me somewhat. He spoke of our capacity to love unconditionally and the beauty of honoring the marriage commitment. Yet he admitted he was " too afraid to take the leap." He preached that message to those kids in the audience. But then sounded like a hypocrite in his actions. Sad, what we honor as examples for our kids to emulate
