- It's been a while coming, but oor new campervan has arrived. We picked it up from Brownhills Motorhomes @brownhillstv in Newark and we've come oot today to Loch Lomond to give you the full tour.

Nice van. I picked up a new one similar a month ago, waited nearly 2 years for it. Same colour and layout as yours but a Autotrail v line 670s with the 9 speed auto.

A lovely looking van and amazing you get so much in only 6m. Bed make up system looks good quality. Where do you keep your topper mattress, duvet and pillows? Congratulations both
Thanks, we will either leave the bed down or just have the bedding on one of the lounge seats, that's the compromise with not having a boot / garage space but we didn't want a climb in and out of bed.

Congrats on the new camper. I have ordered a new camper from Brownhills also, so it was nice to hear other people have had good experiences. I have ordered a Elddis Evolution CV80, it’s due to arrive in September 24, hoping it arrives earlier. It’s my first bought camper, I have only rented in the past. I’m nearing my retirement at 55 and I can’t wait to start to travel so I took the plunge at the camper show in Oct and purchased a van. I shall watch your channel for any new van tips. Happy travels.
Thanks Jude I'm sure that you will love travelling in your new campervan in your retirement. Ours was due in September this year and a couple of delays pushed it back to December but that wasn't too bad.

The first van trip we did was to France, booked all the campsites in advance, bad mistake. Next time will just play it by ear and from day to day. Thanks and same to you!
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot I'm interested in why you had a problem booking in advance. Despite all my years living here, we've not really had much experience with campsites. We went camping twice about 20 odd years ago. I don't remember us pre-booking though.
We do rent places though and haven't had any problems as of yet. My late FIL was from the Dordogne, my wifes family own his "maison de campagne" down there. So we are very very lucky to use that place for holidays. Unfortunately the town where the house is located is over-run with tourists in the Summer, so gets very busy.

@@MegaBreadvan it just meant that we had to keep to a schedule and everyone we have spoken to says don't do that and it's better just to move on when you want to and not have to keep to a schedule.

What a great van. I love the name and that Daphne is Maggie’s big sister. We know a couple who’ve just bought the 132 after owning an Autosleeper Warwick for a few years and they love it. Do like the fridge height saves all that bending down to find stuff. Not keen on making the bed up every night so will stick to our French bed designed van made by Hymer but yes yours will be great for a good nights sleep. Have fun thats the name of the motorhoming game we all play. Loved the campsite view.😊

Great tour - great van......that layout is absolutely perfect for a 6m vehicle...lovely lounge space at the back of the van....bed setup is a minute or so's worth of work so no big deal - though I'd probably use it as 2 singles rather than a double....looking forward to following you on your travels. Happy 2024 👍

Hi both of you, the new van is lovely, I have a 2020 select 144, don’t feel too bad about the catch, on the first day I brought ours home I ripped the front off a draw, wifee was not best pleased 😊 I put a micro wave where the gas grill is, as we found we weren’t using the grill, under my passenger seat the jack was in a massive plastic case, I removed the case and stored the jack under the rear seats, this made a bit more storage up front. We also found that we left the bed permanently set up, see what suits you both. Keep up the vids please , you, you tubers give us inspiration on where to go next. 😊😊Thanks Lee & Vikki.
Thanks, yep there's always the odd breakage, not the end of the world. There is no jack or spare wheel with the van, they just give you that foam spray stuff to use if you get a puncture, and I hate that, but that's what you get now. Hope you have a great Christmas 👍🐾💕

The van has a lot of well thought-out and useful features, but the bed setup is way more complicated than it needed to be - at least compared to the many other vans I’ve seen on RUclips. Can’t imagine doing this every night.
We will likely be keeping the bed down Bill and just using the front lounge and I think that's going to be the best for us. All the best for Christmas 👍🐾💕

Nice van. I put my pans in the oven to store them to save space elsewhere. I hardly use the oven, and if I did want to use it, I could pull them out for that short time. Maybe your pans won't fit. Just an idea. Have fun with your new home. 😊 Kathleen

Very Nice Van. The Bed Is Nice. A Lot Of Vans That Have That Bed Setup Use The Table As The Center Fill In. I Would Never Take That Bed Down. Over All, A Very Beautiful Van. I Saw A Bed I Liked. It Came Down From The Ceiling. I Loved It. Safe Travels
